Alice Springs, Australia

Travel by luxury bus on this one way transfer from Alice Springs to Uluru (Ayers Rock). Learn more about the flora and fauna as well as the natural and geological history of this classic Northern Territory desert scenery as you pass outback stations. Take an optional Camel ride (own expense) and stop to take photos of Mount Conner, the third monolith of Central Australia.

Travel from Alice Springs via the rugged West MacDonnell and James Ranges to Uluru (Ayers Rock). Stop en route at the Outback Camel Farm where you can take the opportunity to ride a camel, known to many as the 'ships of the desert' (own expense). This was a great trip. Very comfortable. I enjoyed the two stops to give my legs a stretch and to grab something to eat. The bus driver really made the trip as he had so much knowledge and the information he provided on the explorers particularly Stuart. A great trip. Would recommend as a good way to travel to Uluru.

Trip and stops and comments from Teena, the_br/_ driver/guide were excellent. The only thing was, that on arrival at Alice Springs, I found that the trip with the same company was offered for 20 AUD less.

On time. Personable driver guide. Made the hours of driving over many kilometres a very pleasant experience. Driver told stories about the areas we were passing through and stopped several times for us to 'stretch our legs', also played some local 'cowboy' music - very humorous. BTW, if you want some aborigine artwork and see something you like, buy at these 'stations' as the prices get higher as you get closer to Uluru!

The coach picked us up from our hotel on time and our transfer to Ayers Rock resort was very pleasant with two convenience breaks en route and a transfer to our resort hotel.

This was an awesome journey through the spectacular scenery of the oldest mountain ranges in Australia, with stops at a camel farm and an Outback watering hole. The driver was very informative about local history; he shared some amazing information. This beats catching the plane from Alice Springs.

The trip to Ayers Rock was great! However, we did find that everything was over priced from the food to the accommodations. It was nice having a driver take us there so we could sleep, but we had thought that we would get some more information while traveling there instead of just hearing stories and personal experiences.
