Private 4-Day Jordan Special Tour: Petra, Wadi Rum and The Dead Sea

Amman, Jordan

On this 4-day tour you'll travel south from Amman to the ancient city of Petra to see the magnificent Treasury (El-Khazneh). Continue to Wadi Rum, a uniquely shaped mountain that rose amongst the rosy red sand of the desert. Later visit the Dead Sea where the salt content of the water is so high, no fish can survive.

This tour will also take you South of the kingdom to Petra. The ancient Nabataean city of Petra is considered one of the wonders of the world and people come from all over the world to see it.

Later in the tour, visit Wadi Rum, the uniquely shaped massive mountain that rose amongst the rosy red sand of the desert with towering cliffs of various brownish, reddish and golden colors.

Continue to see the incredible Dead Sea, which sits 400 meters below sea level. The Dead Sea speaks for itself; there is no living fish! It is by far one of Jordan's most impressive and spectacular places to visit.

A local Guide will be included for 2 hours in Petra. The guides are provided by the Authority of Petra under the Ministry of Tourism.

This is a private tour so please list any special interests you have (art, architecture, history, culture) at time of booking to alert our driver, so that he or she can better prepare for your private tour.

5 star hotel isn't really a 5 star hotel. It would be better if customer can pay more for the premium 5 star option which wasn't available for us when we travelled. It would be even better if the trip could be slightly modified to include Aqaba on the way so we didn't have to travel down specifically for Aqaba.

The trip was absolutely amazing. Everything was looked after and my driver was brilliant. I was by myself so could do something's when I wanted and we could change things time permitting. I would definitely recommend people doing a viator tour anywhere.

We had a fantastic guide who was flexible, knowledgeable and very proud of his home country. Great way to see an amazing country in just a few days!_br/_ We changed our itinerary to skip Wadi Rum so that we could have maximum time at the Dead Sea. Would have been a long day of driving and only a 20min dip in the Dead Sea if we had decided to do Wadi Rum. Just means we will have to go back one day._br/_ Highly recommend this tour to all!

Our trip was fantastic mainly due to our wonderful guide Ziad. He made our trip a very memorable one. Each day he was on time to pick us up and despite the great distance he had to drive to take us around he was always friendly and most helpful. We were really impressed.

We enjoyed the whole trip. Highlight was Petra, of course. We would specially like to recommend the Great View Hotel which has fantastic views. Food was also very good, room was large and clean, and the staff was helpful. It is easy to see that the hotel has good management. It had also nice outdoor pool which we did not use. The guide who took us through Petra was engaged on the spot and was not good. He wanted to speed up the whole thing and finish it as quickly as possible.

Good way to see the sights but there was lots of room for improvement. The hotels we stayed in were pretty terrible, I didnt expect much but got even less. The driver and all the tour guides were constantly trying to squeeze more and more money out us which became really annoying. The amman city tour which lasted approx 3 hours including an average dinner that we had already paid for cost us 150! Everyone expected a tip even when you have paid to do an activity and the service dosnt merit a tip.

The trip involves a lot of time travelling in a car. The driver's english was fine and he was very accommodating but drove a little too fast for our liking. The hotel staff spoke good english and were friendly and the meals and rooms were OK.

Great time - "must visit" location - guides were first class, trip ran to schedule - people in Jordan all very friendly, felt really safe, private tour is definitely the way to go. Hotel in Petra was good. Hotel in Amman below standard Dana plaza - def not 4 star - food very bad Overall - really great 4 day trip!

Lovely country, good trip but not long enough! We intend to return to explore Amman and the north of the country.

The places are wonderful, the tour is very well organized and all the persons who we dealt with were kind and helpful. Being welcomed at the airport by a person who helps in the first formalities is reassuring. Moreover, the driver spoke fluently, which was a useful bonus for a couple like us. Definitely worth doing.

I would say this was a very worthwhile holiday and Viator did exactly what we had hoped they would do, a holiday especially for the two of us, at the exact date we requested for a very reasonable price, hosted all the way. _br /__br /_ The man who met us before immigration was extremely polite and well spoken he also took us back to the airport very efficiently. The hotel Orchid was clean and sufficient, service very polite, no bedside lamps until asked for, rather threadbare sheets, but every other way perfect. _br /__br /_ Our guide picked us up on schedule, in a very clean car - including wind-screens - good for photos through the glass. He whizzed us off, spoke good English, paid for everything - we didn't need money except for minimal things. He drove rather fast, except for radar traps, and his car did not have safety belts in the back. - that made my wife rather nervous - but he was a good and solicitous guide, and we saw more with him, including Mt Nebo, than we could have in the time with a less speedy driver.
