You may visit Qasr Amra from the Umayyads era, Qasr Kharaneh a Roman then Umayyed fortress built and completed in 710 AD, and Qaser Azraq where T. E Lawrence of Arabia had his headquarters.

GUIDES
As the Ministry of Jordan does not allow a driver to also be a guide, there is not a guide included in the cost of your tour. Your driver will be very informative and be able to point out and explain sites as you drive past. Many people prefer to visit the sites and follow the walking tracks on their own, although there will be local guides available for hire on arrival for an approximate cost of US$15.00 per visit. Your driver will be happy to assist you with any questions or exchange of money.

For this tour, a driver takes you from your hotel out to the three sites and pays admission. You're generally on your own to tour the actual sites (guides can be hired, but you really don't need them).

This tour took us to some of the forgotten places in history. The desert castles were interesting and simple, reminders of a time when travel in this region was a lonely trek across miles of barren land connected by remote outposts. Each location had a story. Our driver was great and the guides at the sites were very helpful in explaining the history of each site.

Very interesting. The castles, completely different from one another, are outside the normal tourists' routes. Even our kind driver did not know them! We got to see the beautiful panorama of Jordan.
