Private Half Day Tour to The Dead Sea

Amman, Jordan

Visit the Dead Sea and the desert of Moab, which is 28 miles (45 kilometers) from Amman and is the lowest point on earth at 1300 feet (400 meters) below sea level. The Dead Sea is one of the most incredible places in the world, known for the Biblical story of the destruction of Sodom and Amora, which was turned into salt.

The Dead Sea speaks for itself; there is no living fish in it! It is by far one of Jordan's most impressive and spectacular places to visit and spend the night for relaxation. The calm shining water glowing from the scorching sun above is known for the concentration of salt and minerals, which makes a therapeutic and unique swimming experience not to be missed!

Swimming in The Dead Sea is quite an incredible feeling as it is impossible to sink in the thick brine, which is four times as salty as regular sea water. One can even recline on the water and read a newspaper. Due to the extremely high content of salts and minerals the water is known for its curative powers and its mud is used as various treatments.

This is a private tour so please list any special interests you have (art, architecture, history, culture) at time of booking to alert our guide, so that he or she can better prepare for your private tour.

Driver was very nice, he picked us up on time, drove us to the Dead Sea and sat and waited until we were finished and then drove us back. All we paid for was for someone to drive us there and back really and we could have paid a lot less to do that elsewhere. I think this excursion is overpriced. When it says private half day tour, I think you expect more than just the transfer there and back. Dead Sea was amazing by the way but we could have paid half the price for it if we arranged our own taxi/car.

Very fun and interesting. Recommend combining this trip with a visit to the Jordon river where Jesus was baptized. It is very close.

The restaurant there was quite terrible, crowded, mass food and the smells of bad cooking kept us from eating. We left hungry. The beach was really rocky, I wish I had brought beach shoes. I could not keep upright in the water, so had to spend my time on the beach. I could have skipped this stop, and would not do it again.
