The tour guide was very helpful and full of information. Make sure the weather is good otherwise seeing the windmills in the rain is a bummer. I would have preferred the stops to be a bit more organised as the lunch stop was at 11 and then there was nothing till the evening.

The tour guides were lovely and friendly. The content of the tours were geared to the basics of Hollands "touristy" sights. The short city tour was announced over the intercom in 5 languages. So we recieved very little information, but heard constant talking the whole tour. In my opinion, this is a last resort, I only have 8 hours to see Holland tour.

Alas, 0 stars is not an option. This was not a tour as much as it was a sales pitch. The Countryside part of the tour had no commentary and visiting anything at the stops except a cheese factory and a clog factory. No windmill tour or anything (the windmills were an afterthought for these tour operators). The City tour took us on an hour long visit to a diamond factory. Really?? Do you think I'm going to buy a diamond while I'm on vacation?!?

We enjoyed the tour even if the whether was too much foggy. We got enough time to see the places. The tour guide and the driver was very cooperative and well experienced.

more like a shopping trip than a tour. There was too many people on the tour aswell, and it felt we were invading the towns we visited. we didn't do the city tour component because the amount of people on tour, we think it was about 60-80 people??.

The guide Derrick was very courteous and experienced. The trip was fantastic except for the weather which was a bit wet and foggy. We enjoyed our trip and gain much knowledge.

I missed the first part of the tour by less than 5 mins and the bus left, so don't be a minute late. The tour office location isn't clear (5 mins from Central Station isn't an adequate description of how to get there). As I missed the first part of the tour they offered me the hop on/off bus for the day until the second half of the tour to the windmills, Volendam and Marken began. That second part of the tour was nice, but they didn't give us enough time at each location to sufficiently walk around. I was solo on the tour so I motored through each location faster than families and I still found it too little time. Aside from that, the locations were beautiful. FYI: our tour guide told us not to shop in Volendam as we'd have plenty to shop in Marken...not true (shop in Volendam if you feel like it, as there's not much in Marken except the clog making shop).

The city tour part of the trip was NOT worth it. They out us on a large tour bus and simply drove us around the city, we didn't even see points of interest - they showed us hospitals, convention centers, museums, etc. They drove us about a block away from Ann Frank's house but we didn't even see that. The only times we got off the bus were for about 10 minutes at one windmill and half an hour at some diamond store. What a waste of a morning, I could have saved time by walking around the city to see what I actually wanted to see. Then there was an awkward hour and a half break between that part of the tour and the second half. The second half even started late, but was a little bit better. The cheese shop and windmills stop was interesting but only 40 minutes doesn't leave much time to see it really. We also saw wooded clog making, but that was also short. Out tour guide seemed a bit lazy and was not all that friendly. She also walked us around a small town for 45 minutes, which was nice to see traditional houses but it was really pointless and it made you feel like you were walking through people's back yards. Her only reason for the "walk" was because the bus driver was late to pick us back up, she was just killing time. Then she had the nerve to ask us all for tips for herself and the driver. Neither got one after that experience.

The tour was very good overall, even though it rained most of the time (to be expected in this area). The windmills were amazing, but I was disappointed that by the time we arrived there, the nice litttle shops were closing. If they had told us that they would be closing soon, we could have gone to them first and taken pictures and gone to the cheese shop afterwards.

The morning tour was great and we had a super guide. The afternoon guide,(we switched buses due to time constraints) was OK but she was in too much of a hurry and some of us could not keep up with her.

Disappointed that no one was wearing traditional cl9othes in Markem. The last time I was there they did. Also the bus was late.leaving Markem and if the tour guide had called and got an estimate of how long he would be, we could have walked around more instead of just standing. She was not very personable.

This is a great tour and I would recommend it to anyone. It is a good way to see some countryside outside the city. There is much variety with the city tour, the tour of the cheese factory, visiting Volandam and the boat ride to Marken. Don't miss this tour!

Overall, this was a very good tour. We started off a little bit late, which was very frustrating, and that meant that the shops in Marken were closed by the time we arrived (also very frustrating). I think it would be better to schedule these trips on separate days rather than buy the super saver so that you'd be more likely to have time to enjoy all parts. Otherwise, a good day.

We enjoyed the day tour very much but it rained most of the day with cold wind, which greatly affected the tour. Seeing the residential houses, ride across the lake, eating the traditional foods were all good. Zaanse Schans was a disappointment, again due to the weather, but the windmills were not as we expected. I guess that part of history is slowly disappearing. Sure;y not as the pictures showed.Seeing the leeves and the tour directors explanation was good.

A good tour, well paced and very informative guide. Many other tours were visiting at the same time which made it difficult to check out some sites as they were too crowded.

The best of all Netherlands tour. However, the stop at windmill + cheese factory should be longer than 45mins. Not enough time to visit Zaanse Museum, select cheeses, buy souvenirs from the windmill, and take photos of the beautiful scenery within 45mins. I almost missed the tour bus again!

A worthwhile tour, particularly as my time was limited. I saw a lot, the guide was pleasant and informative, and I felt I could never have done all these things in one day without an organized tour.

So this is a very mixed review, the tour itself was great! The way it was executed was horrible. It did not include the entrance fees to the windmills and was basically a shopping trip for a tourist cheese store. Our bus broke down which was beyond their control, however their inability to handle the situation made the whole trip very upsetting.

A great value day with a real contrasting couple of excursions._br/_ First off the city tour of Amsterdam takes in a working windmill along the River Amstel which is very picturesque. Then after driving around and being pointed out the sights of the city there is a visit to a Diamond factory which is very interesting as long as wallets and purses are kept firmly closed! The city tour is a great way to get familiarised with what Amsterdam has to offer. After time for lunch part 2 begins with a trip to Zaanse Schans a lovely little touristy spot with 5 windmills, a cheese farm and varous other things to keep you entertained. We only had an hour or so here and it would have been nice to stay a while longer. Then onto Volendam which is a very busy little fishing town, the front is a tourist trap with souvenir shops and bars and cafes all along it, again it would have been nice to have awhile longer as after 75 minutes or so we caught the 20 minute ferry over to Marken which is a small version of Volendam without all of the tourist attractions, we had a brief demonstration of clogmaking here and then waited for our bus to take us back to Amsterdam. Personally i would rather have had extra time at both Zaanse Schans and Volendam and cut out Marken all together as there wan't much to do or see there, but it was a very fulfilling day and a lovely contrasting experience of what a piece of Holland has to offer. Good vaule for money as well.

I didn't realize that this trip consisted of 2 seperate trips. The morning trip of city highlights was a bit boring but the guide tried to make it interesting. Would have liked to combine a different am trip if possible, The afternoon trip was very fun and interesting- windmills, cheese and wooden shoe factory were all fun, The boat ride to the fishing village was also an unexpected treat. Our guide for the afternoon- Frank was GREAT!

On time and excellent tour guides. Just need to give more info where is the cheapest place to do shopping. Should stop at the market where the tourist can experience the local shopping rather than at the diamond factory.
