Holland in One Day Sightseeing Tour

Amsterdam, Netherlands

With just a day to spare, immerse yourself in the best of The Netherlands on the grand Holland Tour from Amsterdam. Escorted by a knowledgeable local guide, you'll experience Rotterdam, view Delft pottery, venture to The Hague and duck and weave through Madurodam.

This guided excursion takes you to Aalsmeer for a visit to the world's largest flower auction (45 minutes). Please note: The flower auction is closed on Sundays. The visit is replaced by a visit to a wooden shoe (clogs) factory.

Your next destination is Rotterdam where you'll see the experimental architecture and eclectic collection of buildings that make Rotterdam unique during your city tour.

Next, stop in the city center for a one-hour visit to Delftse Pauw, one of the famous Delft Blue potteries in picturesque Delft. The blue-and-white pottery became famous as a 17th-century duplicate of Chinese porcelain.

You will then continue to The Hague for a tour passing such famous sites as the Houses of Parliament. Finally, you'll visit Holland's famous miniature town, Madurodam. You will have an hour to wander around, exploring miniature models of famous Dutch buildings and sights, as well as the world's largest miniature railway.

Please note Madurodam will be closed from November 7, 2011 to April 01, 2012. You will spend more time in Delft and The Hague instead.

Very quick tour but is as promised, a quick tour of Holland. Wish we could have more time in Delft. We left the tour in The Hague and went into the Mauritshuis Museum where "Girl With A Pearl Earring" was housed.

The flower market first up was very interesting! Then we saw Rotterdam, not enough time there... only given 5 minutes to take photos. Then we saw Delft pottery being made which was great. Then we had an hour and a half for lunch in Delft which I thought was a bit too much really and would have preferred more time to see Rotterdam. The tour guide spoke 4 languages which was pretty amazing in itself. Overall a good day getting out of the city!

The tour was great, especially the visit to Delft in which they gave us some free time during lunch to sightsee around. The travel agency is very serious and I recommend their tours.

Great experience! Our tour guide was very helpful at explaining some of the details behind each stop. I wasn't overly impressed with the Delft stop, but we enjoyed the flower auction and Rotterdam. You may want to eat somewhere faster than the recommended spot, though, so you can see more things.

Nice but: visit to flower market was a useless waste of time: market empty! And in The Hague there would have been time to visit at least one museum.

An excellent tour, which provided great value for the money paid. A young woman named Anna acted as the bus tour director. She was excellent and knowledgeable, and couldn't hide how proud she was to be "Dutch", as she switch her tour presentation seamlessly between fluent English and Spanish.

Outstanding. Good guide and allowed us to visit three places that we otherwise have missed. Booked eight tours with Vaitor in Amsterdam/Italy and had no problems with any of them and surprised to find so many other travelers using them. Well done Viator.

The guide was awesome and the driver was great, but the tour was quite a disappointment in terms of what it did to our expectations. The picture on the site (the thumbnail) gives an impression of castles (and possibly windmills), but we saw next to none of those. We were in a bus, stopped only a few times, and had to make do with blurred or faraway pictures at best.

This day was quite interesting! Our stop at the flower auctions was pretty cool, seeing the massive industry it creates for The Netherlands! Delft Pottery and Ceramics was also nice! Cool to see how they make the stuff! The highlight of the day is surely Madurodam! A miniature version of Holland! Simply amazing! Was a really nice day too which was great!

A very thorough trip fron North to South Holland taking in some interesting sights along the way._br/_ First off is a trip to a farm where we were shown cheese making followed by the making of traditional Dutch shoes, which we know as clogs! Quite interesting to see the farm and how they do it. The flower auction was shut on this day as it was a bank holiday so we then made our way to Rotterdam for a city tour by bus and a brief photography stop at the old harbour. Rotterdam looked nice and interesting and i would have rather incorporated an hour stop at least. We then visited a Delft blue pottery workshop where we were given a demonstration on the making of the pottery, this was quite interesting and the small shop housed to lovely souvenirs albeit at a price. After an hour in Delft market square for lunch we went through The Hague for a look at the city centre, which didn't look very exciting to be fair. Then we had an hour and a bit at Madurodam, Holland in miniature which was enjoyable but more for the kids i think. I would have cut that out for a more lengthy stop in Rotterdam but it is hard to please everyone. All in all a very good value trip and an excellent way to experience a slice of what Holland has to offer.

If you would like to see as much as possible of Holland in a short period of time this is a trip to do. The only disappointing part was the flower market - by the time we got there, there was not much flowers left and the selling was over. Maybe the trip could start earlier to be able to see more of this, Moduredam is great even for a grown up.

The visit to the tulip garden has been the best experience my family and I have ever had, . First, the trip was short and comfortable. Despite the fact that it was the last day, there was still a lot to be seen. The garden is so beautiful that I would recommend to every person in the world to visit it at least once in a life time.
