Definitely worth getting the card, which saves the hustle of buying light rail tickets and museum entries. At the Van Gogh Museum, we were still asked to stand in queue for the entry, but the line moved fairly fast.

I really enjoyed my trip to Amsterdam and I visited almost everything in the city for free thanks to the iAmsterdam city card. I also used tram, metro and buses for free! The card comes with a really useful book with information about all the places you are about to visit. If you are going to Amsterdam, I really suggest you to spend a day visiting the Den Haag and Rotterdam, beautiful cities. Enjoy!

I was supposed to be in Ams only for a day and I didn't mind paying for the 48 hour card since the museum entrance tickets and tram tickets will still be a bit more expensive. However, I was upset when I found out that there was a 24 hr card on sale for Euro39 at the tourist office and I couldn't change to the 24 hr card unless I cancel my booking with Viator. Luckily I could recover what I've spent for the 48 hr card by visiting the Rijkmuseum and Van Gogh Museum and then the boat cruise in the evening. I don't understand why the 24 hr card isn't available online!

Great way to go. Highly recommended. Just being able to go to the quick line to enter the museums was worth it. Rained - so made more use of the transit card than we would have normally. Did not manage to fit in the canal tour - next time. For our interests - an excellent package. pat

Visisted many of the attractions on the card and made use of the tram ticket . Some of the attractions we wanted to see were not open on the days we had left to see them so check this before planning your schedule.

This pass is a great option for exploring Amsterdam. The tourist office where you pick it up was nice and the people explained the transportation pass and the vouchers so that I could start exploring right away. The transit pass gives you access to all the ways to get around and I loved being able to explore as many museums as I could cram into the time I had. I would absolutely recommend this as a great way to discover Amsterdam.

We were a group of three traveling together and used the I Amsterdam card for museums and travel during our four day stay starting usage later on the first day. We used both extensively for canal houses visits, museums, boat cruise, and other venues, too numerous to mention. As well, we used trams (extensively), buses (twice), and the Metro (twice) so also got our money's worth there. We planned our trip before leaving London to maximize temporal and geographic efficiencies (grouping attractions, saving late opening attractions for certain nights, etc.). Get it and use them - you won't regret. If you're going to Amsterdam just to party and for the night life, it might not work out in that case.

Worked exactly as advertised. Convenient access to all the attractions we wanted, and the transit system couldn't be easier. Had no problems presenting our voucher and picking up the pass at the train station shortly after our arrival. Also, the museum / transit passes were actually separate cards, and could be activated at different times (upon first usage). Convenient!

Definitely a city to visit again especially the Van Gogh museum. Getting round the city using the trams was so easy and there is so much more to see and do. The iamsterdam pass was well worth having. Will definitely visit again.

Myself and my 2 daughters visited Amsterdam just before Easter and we had a brilliant time albeit tiring as there was so much to do and we had difficulty fitting it all in. The I Amsterdam card was easy to use and saved us both time and money (we didn't have to queue for everything). The transport included was brilliant although the card cannot be used on buses only the trams which is different to the booklet. Definitely cheaper on line as well.

Much more to see and do than one could possibly experience. Plan in advance to maximize your time period with the pass. If you like to organize, this is for you. If you like to meander and wander, this is a great resource, but you may not save much money. I'd say we were pretty organized and energetic and saved about 15%. May 2011

Even if you end up spending more on the card than you would have on admissions, it's a bargain. Clutching the card in your hot little hand allows you to bypass the pesky lines at the major museums (particularly the Rijksmuseum), and lets you into a lot of the small ones. You also get unlimited transportation on all trams and buses (and the somewhat limited metro), saving the hassle of buying individual tickets.

We had a fabulous time in Amsterdam. It was so easy to obtain the card, guidebooks, coupons, etc. The only "problem" we had was with the Hermitage Museum. The guidebook lists it as being free, but they said it was a mistake and they charge 3 Euros per person. No big deal. Everything else worked beautifully and it was so easy and convenient to have the card. Even bypassed a LONG line at the Van Gough Museum! Time on vacation is priceless! Fantastic experience!

This card is great! Easy to use and gets you tons of discounts. The canal boat trip and hopping the trams is worth the price of convenience. Only issue we had was we prepaid on line and they didn't have us in the computer when we picked it up. We had our voucher so no problem...but make sure you take a copy of your voucher just in case. Amstedam is one of the coolest cities you'll ever visit and this card is invaluable.

We made full use of our cards seeing many things we otherwise would have missed. We particularly liked the windmill and the canal house. It was a pity that we left the Van Gough museum until the last day, when the queues were so long that we decided not to go. The public transport was excellent. Going to the market was a real experience. In all, the card enabbled us to get the mose out of our mini break.

Excellent card with many advantages, whether it be for travelling, entry to various museums or discounts in various "hostelries" in Amsterdam. However double check all the perks of the card as we booked and paid for a trip online before travelling that was free with the card! Only discovered when we got to Amsterdam we had paid for something that was actually free!
