This was by far a must do tour in Greece! We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and learned so much. Everything was organized well and ran smoothly. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable and since we traveled in winter the group was small (13 people). I think the small number of people really made the trip. The sites we visited were amazing. My favorite was Olympia, but every site was fantastic. The bus driver was a good driver and every ride was entertaining. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking at exploring sites outside of Athens. 5 stars all the way!

My daughter and I were delighted with our trip. Joy, our tour guide, was very well able to impart her extensive knowledge of Greek history in great style, we enjoyed her immensely. Thanassis was an exemplary driver. Travelling throughout Greece at this time of the year was wonderfully "tourist free" and the weather was mild and mostly sunny. Value for money, excellent.

This was an excellent tour covering all the most important Greek historical locations. Our guide, 'George' (a qualified archaeologist and tour guide), was excellent. He looked after us very well and gave us all the information we needed. Accommodation at the 3 Amalia Hotels we stayed at in Napflion, Delphi and Kalambaka was satisfactory, though of a lower standard than expected. The hotels were large with very nice common areas but slightly tired rooms that needed refurbishment. And we paid extra for first class, rather than tourist class hotel accommodation. Maybe we only got tourist class hotel rooms, because lower class rooms than the ones we had would have been unacceptable? The hotels were all a fair way out of town. This was ok for the conducted tour, but would have been a problem for independent travellers who wanted to spend time in the towns. Overall, an excellent tour, with only the hotel room quality dropping the rating from 5 to 4 stars.

I enjoyed the tour very much and the guides were very informative. However, I was disappointed when on the 3rd day some of us had to leave our group to join another group on another bus with another guide. The hotels were spacious but I thought it a little disconcerting when at the end of the day the tourist class and first class passengers were sent to different hotels and not able to eat dinner together. Everything else was very good.

It was a real value for money. In four days that is the maximum you can cover outside Athens. We are extremely happy with this tour. Special mention about our guide Mr Emilios, knows his job well.

This was a wonderful tour. Everyone on the tour got along great. We all bonded and exchanged e-mails to keep in touch. Our guide and driver were wonderful. Visited wonderful sites. Food was great also. The only complaint was 2 of the hotels could have been a little more updated, But they all had swimming pools. This use to be a 5 day tour, but now is a 4 day, so it makes for long days. I think it sould be back to 5, so there is some time to rest at the hotel and visit the local villages

Timing was excellent as walks and outdoor activities were achieved in the morning before it became too hot. Long distances in the bus then covered in the afternoon._br/_ Stopping at designated restaurants left little choice for a light lunch - eg. a roll and drink rather than a sit down meal. It would be good to have a choice._br/_ The young female guide was excellent with a variety of explanations from history, mythology and general information without being deluged with an excess of numerical facts. Her English was easy to understand and she was extremely patient with a varied group of people._br/_ The 4- day tour certainly covered most of the major sites. _br/_ Congratulations on a well-balanced itinerary.

This is a great tour with beautiful vistas along the way. Some of the rides were long due to the distances but the breaks were timely and our guide, George, provided lots of information along the way and the folks in my group were all very friendly. Sufficient guided and free time was spent at each site. We stayed overnight at the Amelia Hotel just outside the city of of Nafplio for the next day's visit to Delphi. We got to roam around Napflio but not to hike up to the castle of Palamidi or the castle of Bourtzi. Neither were part of the itinerary but I would have loved the opportunity to be able to visit both. Meterora is so worth the long ride and the extra day. My group stayed at the Amelia Hotel at each location. The only disappointment was not having enough time to enjoy the hotels at each location, that's how beautiful they are. Our guide was very thoughtful and arranged for the pool to remain open later on the evenings we arrived close the pool closing time. The food was good throughout the trip and the bus very comfortable.

We loved this tour! Our guide was excellent and knew so much about ancient Greece and modern Greece! The timing of the trip was good and the many hours on the bus felt less with 'coffee stops' every few hours. If you have limited time in Greece and want to see ruins, small towns, and the monasteries, this is the best way to do it!!!

The trip arrangements, hotel and meals were great. The guide was very knowledgeable, although a bit sarcastic and seemed to have a chip on his shoulder. The bus was very comfortable with frequent stops, however, the bathroom in the bus was not functionable and two passengers had emergencies and needed to use the bathroom and were told they couldn't use it. That's unacceptable.

Perfect trip for me. Expect some time on the bus, but the stops are great, though some thought too short. Not for me. If you can take it with Iannis (sp) as a guide, even better. Perfect companion for his knowledge, enthusiasm and entertainment.

We enjoyed the pace and offerings of the Viator tour. Accomodations we more than acceptable and our guide gave participants enough time on their own at sites not to feel rushed or hurried. The value was excellent, Viator's US dollar price being an excellent bargain. The free upgrade in room class was an added bonus. We'd easily go again!

An excellent trip supported by a very informative top class guide, Irene. Hotels (Amalia Group) provided good food and amenities though closing down the pool at 8pm is a bit unfair. Only negative is long trip back from Meteora (7 hours) has nothing to break the monotony but I guess this cant be helped.

Great tour! Costas was a great driver which is just what you need when driving up the windy cliffs! Leila was a fantastic guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. The sightseeing itself is great, the archaeological sights were covered very well by Leila and then we had free time to explore. A little more free time would have been good but overall i recommend this tour to anyone wanting to see the main sights of Greece. Bring a good book though as you do spend a lot of time on the bus.

Excellent 4 days tour with an amazing guide, Irene. Why are 2 levels of accommodation sold? We bought 1st class and were never given the higher level rooms with a better view. The hotel at Delphi said that all rooms are the same. Meals at hotels could be improved (mass produced and not always hot). Lunch options good.

Our 4 day classical greece tour was quite good. Our guide Emilios was very clear and specific on his instructions on the what, when and where aspects of what our group was to expect and do. His communication skills were very clear and concise and the group proceeded without any problems or confusion. Emilios was also extremely informative and knowledgeable on his subject matter everywhere we visited. Our hotel accommodations were good and the rooms were spacious as compared with normal European hotel standards. An enjoyable 4 day tour.

This trip was a great success and well organised and well run, much of the success being due to the excellent guide, Emilios, who was wondeful (knowledgeable, erudite, humourous, individualistic and caring). The hotels were somewhat varied - the first one near Nafplio was very good, the second near Delphi needed a refurbishment 5 years ago, the one near Meteora was a little better. But the trip was made for everyone by the locations, history and Emilios. We are recommending the trip to everyone, but especially if they can get Emilios for a guide!

It was fantastic. The tour guide was knowledgeable, friendly, willing to go the extra mile. Everything you want in a tour guide. Places were interesting, and the group was terrific (I lucked out there). The reason I took off a point was because one of the other people in the group had allergies, and the dinners had difficulty taking some of those allergies into account. So that could have been handled better. However, most of that was resolved after in-person request at each dinner (took a few times though), so the overall experience was fantastic.

Great tour and excellent tour guide. Excellent way to see Greece if you are time-limited. Hotels and meals were good. Don't spend the extra money on the upgraded hotels, we booked the "tourist-class" tour and found the hotels very good and the food excellent.

It was a great experience. The best thing about the trip was our guide Lila. she was knowledgeable, extremely professional and above all had a passion for what she was doing. She enjoyed her work and made it a very memorable experience for us. We were a small group and had great fun. The hotel Amalia chain, where we stayed every night, had nice comfortable and well appointed rooms except for Meteora- but I understand that this was a remote area. The bus was very comfortable and the food was great (I am a vegetarian-sonormally get the short endof the stick on these trips). In short I felt taken care of. Bravo Lila- you were simply the best!

The tour was actually conducted by one of the highly rated Greek tour companies. The tour guide and coach driver were excellent. The guide was very knowledgeable and gave extensive detail relating the sites to Greek history and legend. Some might find it too detailed, but you can walk away and take photos when you've heard enough. She also was very passionate about her subjects, but also very concerned that the tour participants were getting what they wanted. Based on seeing the other major tour buses, the route is the same one taken by all the others. The one negative was that the hotels, while in nice locals, felt a little impersonal, and the food was buffet style. There was an enormous amount and variety of food offered at breakfast & dinner, but it had that cafeteria feel. On the other hand, our guide had good recommendations for lunch and most of the rest stops were good (and well-timed). I will say that the bus ride from Delphi to Metorea and back to Athens was long! All-in-all, a nice way to see these must see places and to collect some good memories. By the way, the rest of the tourers were friendly, pleasant, and contributed to a good experience

Guide was extremely knowledgable driver fantastic! Sites were beautiful. Overall trip was great. Accomodations okay, but given the remote locations, pretty good. Food and the selections at hotels excellent breakfast and dinner would have preferred lunch locations that allowed for credit cards - we had no way of knowing they were not acceptable until we received the bill. There were no options of where to each lunch. One location day three, the service was poor, management rude, "no change" for euro making the purchase of less than 20 euro impossible.

Tour was very well organised. We were usually sightseeing in the morning then had lunch and few hours travel to get to the hotel between 6-7pm. Hotels were 4starts with swimming pool and friendly stuff. And food there especially dinner buffet was excellent. It gave us opportunity to know Greek cousin apart from sightseeing. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made seeing all classic sights more interesting. What I consider as the best is that although we had to spend many hours on the bus the tour was organised so well that we did not find it uncomfortable. Some people took just 3 days journey without Meteora but I do recommend to add one more day and take tour with Meteora, which is really worth to see.

This was a great trip and we thoroughy enjoyed it. The tour guide was very knowledgeable her history was remarkable and it was obvious she enjoyed her job and was very proud of her country. Very organised great driver. Our only comment would be dont book first class we paid for budget and were upgraded to 1st but there didnt appear to be any diffence and I would rate the accomodation 3 plus. Nothing wrong with it very clean and comfortable good food. They went out of there way to deliver everyone back to there Athens accommodation at the end and advised on best way to get to airport on strike days. Highly recommend this trip.

The tour was a bit too packed, especially on the first day. But the plan was good. It would be better if additional time was allowed for photos, other displays in the museum and sites after the guide's commentary. Our guide seems very knowledgeable, but unfortunately his accent makes commentary rather difficult to understand. First class accommodations are all at Amalia hotels which offer fairly good quality accommodations with good amenities(eg pool) but located far from respective local city centres which they don't allow us a chance to walk around to explore on our own. The provided buffet breakfast and dinner has a good variety of food to choose from. Self-paid lunch was restricted to tour nominated cafe/restaurant each day, which doesn't give you much choice in food and they seem a bit over-priced.

Not value for money. Content of tour was adequate but insufficient photo stops, especially for Meteora. Tour company uses the Amalia group of hotels - very basic and not within walking distance to town, except Amalia Delphi. Limited or no choice for lunch as you were brought to a restaurant and assumed to eat there when lunch is "on your own". Guide kept on pushing what foods to order.

This trip was awesome. I would highly recommended it. Our tour guide Yannis was very knowledgeable about the sites we visited and eager to help and answer any questions. His English was very good and not hard to understand. One thing that I didn't like about the trip is that in two of three nights we stayed in hotels we were somehow far from the cities we were visiting so we did not have the chance to walk around. The food for lunch and dinner was good.

The 4-Day Classical Greece Tour has a wonderful itinerary. It includes every place we were interested in visiting. The tour guide, Irini, was marvelous, full of information and stories told to us with her lightness of being. The bus driver was also excellent and were most of the hotels. Our only complaint was in the first Hotel Amalia in Olympia which had beds that were too hard and rooms that needed modernizing and freshening.

This was a great trip. It was the first tour over a day long we have ever taken. Would highly recommend this trip. So many visitors just see Athens and the Islands. This trip has so much Greek history and beautiful mountains and sea coast. Our guide, Aspa, was so nice and very knowledgable. The hotels were very nice, except the beds are rock hard in the Amalia Olympia only complaint about the tour and the dinners and breakfast at the Amalia hotels were good. We really enjoyed this tour and would recommend it highly. We also got to stop to photograph and go to the visitor center of the new Rion-Antirion Bridge.
