This tour could have been better. At the Olympic Stadium our guide didn't even get off the bus, just said you have 10 minutes to be back on the bus. At the Parliment we had 4 minutes, which wasn't enough time to take photos, or see the changing of the guard, no we were also told nothing about the tomb of the unknown soldier, and again our guide didn't even get off the bus. Than at the Acropolis Museum we only saw a couple of sections, and than told we have 15 minutes to look around. At the Parthenon our guide spent_br/_ maybe 15 minutes talking, than told us you have 20 minutes to look around than head for the bus. I think this tour would have been much better if it wasn't cut an hour shorter due to waiting around on the bus for an hour and a half for people that were late. When you have other paying customers, that pay for a half day_br/_ tour, and you delay that tour of twenty people because your waiting for two.... But still end the tour at the orginal end time, we are than jipped out of the service we paid for.

Viator Tours are a rip-off !! I paid upwards of US $ 90 per person for this tour (for two persons). When I got to my hotel, the concierge informed me the SAME tour is organised by the vendor, and the cost was Euro 62 per person. I felt cheated !. later I found out that Viators co-rdinate this tour with the same vendor. So, my advice: Check into your hotel, and then get your tours thru the concierge---save money, for EXACTLY the same tour.

We only had a day to see the highlights of Athens, and this was a great introduction to the city. It allowed us time to explore on our own after getting to know the are. They picked us up right on time at our hotel, gave us enough time at each stop, and provided ideas of what to do the rest of the day. The bus was comfortable and the guide very informative and personable. I would definitely recommend to anyone who wants an introduction to Athens.

Very good tour. We lucked out as well because there was a strike the day before, so Acropolis was closed!! As a result, the site was PACKED with tourists from the cruises (including us). Our guide Dorrina (not sure about the spelling) was excellent. She spoke slowly and clearly on all the explanations, and she even provided great instructions for our commute afterwards. Much appreciated for on our own travelers like us! I would recommend this tour to anyone on their first trip to Athens.

Our guide was very good. She was patient, informative and tried to make sure we all understood what she was saying. The tour of the museum was a little rushed but with the time limits that is to be expected. I would recommend the tour if you want to learn more about the ancient greeks. If you just want a photo at the Acropolis you probably are better off without a tour.

What a waste of time and money!!! All we did was drive around in circles, then get off at the Acropolis and stand around in the boiling sun for the guide to read out of a book... Should have just done ourselves.

Tour was really expensive for what we got out of it. You are much better off doing everything on your own for about 1/3 of the cost. The tour doesn't even go to all the different parts around Athens. It only goes over a couple of square miles. The tour guide was good at giving information on the bus, but when we got to the Acropolis and the Museum we just wanted free time to explore things on our own and take pictures, but they wanted to show us everything which caused us to have little to no free time to explore or take pictures. The guide even went as far as pointing out the water at the entrance of the Acropolis but then did not give us time to go get any. The cost of museum is only €5 but yet the tour charges €15. The guide talked the whole time throughout the museum which did not give us time to read the descriptions or explore things on our own. She pointed out the statues that she thought were interesting but everyone has different interests and we would have liked to have seen certain statues that the guide wouldn't show us. In short I would take the metro to all the sites and view them on your own, you save money time, and be able to take more pictures and enjoy the great ruins.

Good introduction to Athens. You'll probably want to go out and see more of the city after the tour. The tour does include the ticket to various historical sites, like the Temple of Zeus, in the city which is nice.

very difficult for our guide to be heard; didn't have aid of mikes around our neck. It was so busy that it really became frustrating for our guide. She definitely was knowledgable re history but still struggled a bit with English language. The overall mass of people took away from the tour.

I thought this was a very good quick way of seeing the major sites in Athens. It was a good 'feeler' tour which then allowed me to go back to the sites I wanted to spend more time at. The added option of the Acropolis Museum visit was well worth it.

There was some initial confusion about which bus we would be on which took away from the tour at the start, but as soon as that was looked after, we had a very enjoyable time. Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Finishing at the museum was a good plan because those who were interested could stay longer to peruse things at their leisure. Our guide also gave us directions to a variety of other places of interest that were not covered in the tour.

We did this sightseeing tour on our first full day in Athens and it really helped us get our bearings so we could then walk most anywhere we wanted to go after that - plus it showed us a few things we weren't even aware of that we definitely wanted to go back to. Our guide was wonderful - her English was fluent and she knew her history incredibly well. There was nothing we asked her that she didn't have an answer for. Very informative and entertaining. I highly recommend taking this tour early on in your visit.
