This is real value for money. You can use this bus and co-ordinate the other guided tours run by this organisation as you taxi service. The driver is a revelation in skill. The bus is comfortable, the commentary accurate and timely. Best of all is the staff on the bus. They are friendly, and helpful. I recommend this as a good starting point as a reference/preview to the other tours you have to take. I would suggest you take the full tour the 1st time and take notes of interesting places you want to visit. Then workout the times the bus arrives at a particular place of interest and use the hop on hop off the bus pass offers. Good value.

We visited all the attractions that have been mentioned, however the bus stops were a little far from those attractions and we wasted some time walking the distance._br/_ Otherwise it was good.

Having used the Hop on Hop Off Bus in Rome we were looking forward to our tour in Athens. We are sorry to say this was a disappointment. The bus tour took us around the worse parts of the city displaying piles of rotting garbage, buildings covering in graffiti and all in all a city far removed from the golden years of the Greek civilization. We were pleased to get off the bus and head for the Acropolis to see what we had come to Greece to see. Pity present day Athens is so disappointing.

Hop on off is always a dependable tour in cities we have a short time to visit. This was easy to get to and covered everything that they said they would. We had a party of 4 but only the lead received a card indicating the 24 hour availability for the tour. Most cities have given each of the party's a wrist band or something.

The hop on off bus was good, unfortunately it was a cold wet day so couldn't sit outside but the bus took you all over Athens to show you everything! Recommend this.

Very satisfied with the service. There was no public transport that day in Athens because they were on strike and we had very good service with Hop-on Hop off tour. A lot of buses to serve everybody.

As far as I'm concerned this is the first thing you should do when visiting a new city. It's a great way to orient yourself. This tour actually gives you a 2nd day free, so you can use it in lieu of public transportation. We were lucky to have stop around the corner from our hotel.

Although it was nice to have a ride from location to location, many of the sites are within walking distance so it is unnecessary. Due to a demonstration, the bus skipped many stops and it took almost 2 hours to get half way through the tour. I suggest walking to the majority of the sites and then getting a cab to the acropolis for about 10 Euro, if that.

Didn't realize that we had only purchased half of the tour. When Royal Carribbean docks at port, the itinerary directs you to the starting point, which is very close (5 minutes walking). However, when we purchaed, we only bought 1/2 the tour, so for us to pick up where the starting point began it was another 8 Euro. Otherwise we would have had to have walked much further to meet the appropriate starting point.

the idea of hopping on and off at my convenience was a big seller for me. With my limited time in Athens, I wanted to see more than any one, single day tour had to offer. I'd recommend it as a good way to see the sights.

I highly recommended this tour if you are coming from a cruise ship. There are two different routes and one of them picks you up from the port and brings you to Athens and the other takes you to the major sites! It was amazing!!!

This was good except, needed to do more research to find out when places shut because I planned on doing all of the things that this tour went to but some of the sites shut just after lunch so I missed out on them. Other than that, the information and stops were great, good locations and short waiting times

Easy to find the check in, hop-on hop-off got what I expected. If you pay around 4 euro you can upgrade and go to the port also, which is cool to see.

This was a great way to spend our first day in Athens. We couldn't see much from the lower level, so we quickly moved up to the top. The recorded commentary, listened to with headsets plugged into the bus, was very good and we learned alot about the things we were seeing.

The people involved were so fantastic! Despite a sit-down protest in the street, they found ways to re-route us and get us back to our boat in a timely manner. Never rude, even under that kind of unexpected pressure. The Tour itself was informative. Great way to check out a new city-picking and choosing where you want to spend your valuable time. Great! I love hop-on hop-off tours. If only in town for single days (often as with a cruise) there is no better way to see the sites. They also can give you a wonderful preview if you are staying longer. We took 3 such tours on our vacation and I always found the recorded guides to be excellent. The guide in Athens was especially good. I like the option of taking tours at my own pace so I can spend extra time where I want to. These Hop-on Hop-off Tours allow you to do just that.. I will be checking all the cities I travel to to see if they have a Hop-on Hop-off Tour.

I recently visited Athens with my 82 yr old mother and this style of sightseeing suited her (and me) perfectly. It makes sure you see the major sights without miles of walking and the commentary is excellent with a very clear recording. The driver and attendant staff were friendly, helpful and efficient at all times._br/_ I would recommend staying on the bus for the whole tour to begin with, making up your mind en route as to where you want to re-visit._br/_ I have used Viator before (Vienna) and will certainly do so again in the future. This tour is great for an intro to Athens or if you only have a couple of days. We paid 18 euros for a 2-day ticket, but when we got there they told us that 2-day tickets cost 15 euros each. So we paid more through Viator than we would have buying them in Athens.

This was a great way to see the highlights of Athens in a full 24 hours! The staff were so accommodating as we booked for May 1st Labor Day and all public sites were closed. They said "no problem" you can do use it when it is convenient for you! Because it was a bus, we made other arrangements to explore the little back alleys and restaurants.

Buy a 1-day MetroPublic Transit pass, and you'll see just as much. Have done a few Viator tours, but this one really didn't seem worth it.
