There was another public transportation strike in the city, but our driver was waiting for us. Traffic was beyond description because_br/_ everyone drove their own vehicles to work,_br/_ Our driver kept his cool and we arrived safely_br/_ at the hotel.

Despite a torrential rain storm and traffic chaos thanks to a transport strike in Athens our car did turn up as arranged and the driver found us in the Customs Hall with dozens of other Cruise guests whose transport had not turned up.. Traffic was so bad that a 20 minutes journet took and hour and a half. (Longer if our driver did not know the 'short cuts' Full marks to the Viator operator in Athens

The driver was waiting for me when I got off the boat 30 min early!!!! Perfect!!! He had me at my hotel in the Platka by 9 PM!!! Very happy me!

We were there for the beginning of the taxi strike and didn't know if our ride was going to show up. They were there waiting for us and did everything to get us to our hotel. The only comment was we couldn't reach anyone by phone until the office was open but when we got ahold of the office they were very good at keeping in touch as we were delayed disembarking due to the strike. Very good service!

It is too expensive and you can get a taxi for less money. A taxi is actually what picked us up. Almost twice the money. Sorry!

Since this was our first time in Athens I wanted to pre arrange a transfer from the port to our hotel. It turned out to be an expensive alternative to just taking a taxi ourselves as it was only 32 Euro's from the hotel to the airport, an hour drive. It was only 45 mins from port to our hotel and was 90 euro's.

The driver was great and communicated in English well. He adjusted readily to our two bags each by placing a bag in the front passenger side. If there are 3 of you, the European cars don't have as much capacity as SUVs, so call to ensure they can fit your luggage. If you are staying anywhere near Las Ramblas, you may do just as well with a cab as the port is about a 10 minute walk from there - 5 by cab.

Nice to have someone pick you up but probably could have done same cheaper with regular taxi.
