Auckland Harbour Dinner Cruise

Auckland, New Zealand

Dine aboard a 50-foot (15-meter) yacht, then take an evening cruise on Auckland's beautiful Waitemata Harbour to see the twinkling city lights. It's a fantastic way to spend an evening in Auckland!

Your evening begins in the Auckland Viaduct, where you will be assisted aboard the yacht. After being welcomed onboard by the captain, you'll sail to Westhaven Marina's calm anchorage for dinner. Your three-course seafood dinner is served below decks, accompanied by a range of beverages which can purchased from the ship's bar.

After dinner you'll set sail for an exhilarating cruise on Waitemata Harbour. You can either sit back, relax and watch Auckland's fairytale city lights, or join in and help the crew sail the yacht along the picturesque harbor.

This was a fabulous experience - perfect for our honeymoon. A delicious meal was served before we had a sail into the harbour area. We got to sail the ship for quite a while as none of the other guests wanted a go. It was great being at the helm!

We enjoyed the commentry and guidance of two excellent hosts. This was coupled with a great meal and evening views of the wonderful Auckland harbour. Can you please arrange more wind on our next trip?

We were met by very friendly staff, enjoyed a delicious meal and had a wonderful twilight sail on the harbour. My family of two adults and four children all had a great time. Would recommend this to anyone, especially those like myself who are not very seaworthy. I didn't feel ill at all and had a lovely time.

Food was very much like an airline... that is not a good thing!

Excellent food and very relaxing trip, only thing was it would be preferable to select meal preference online, rather than calling to confirm as we didn't have international roaming on, otherwise fantastic! Great friendly crew too!

The food selection was excellent . The head waiter was very friendly and accomodating. My only complaint was that when the dessert selection was brought out, there was no cutlery. I asked one waiter about it and got no results, so when I asked the head waiter, he corrected the problem. I would love to take the cruise again!

The dinner was lovely. I felt the crusing time on the habour was not long enough. You're docked when eating over one hour. We only had the sails up for one hour if we were lucky. I would do the afternoon cruise if I had it to do again.

It was a fantastic experience as we had never been on a yacht before. We got to steer the yacht, and the seafood on board was so fresh and enjoyable that I bragged about it back home highly. Recommended.

What a magnificent introduction to Auckland this was for us. To get off the plane and check into our hotel and first night with perfect weather and wind, it was fantastic. Food was great and really inexpensive. The company was great and the sailing a treat. The photo my son took of the Auckland City at dusk was a treasure.

This was a real adventure and pleasure rolled into one tour! The staff were the best and the meal was great! One item they shorted us on was the Lamb. They promised Lamb and delivered Chicken. The sailing was absolutely a ball! I got to steer the helm for about 30 minutes and found the experience addictive. Would do it again in a heart beat!

Peter and I enjoyed this dinner cruise. Would be better if the dinner is served on better cutlaries instead of plastic plates and plastic wine glasses and if the cruise could take us out farther out like to Rangitoto. We will still highly recommend this sailing trip to our friends.

Dinner was great and the crew was a lot of fun. Winds were a bit light for sailing but we all made the best of it.

This was a late evening cruise on a day when the sun set early, so photography was impossible. Unfortunately, wind was nearly nonexistent so the engine was used for much of the time even though the sails were hoisted. Dinner was good. Beer and wine are extra, but available. I don't remember whether they offer mixed drinks. I suspect this cruise would be even better during times of greater daylight and better wind.

I found that purchasing direct from vendor would be at a 20 to 25 percent lower cost. The cruise was very good, but we missed the sunset as they had us dining inside. The soup from the Waterfront catered restaurant was superb, the lamb dish was better than the seafood salmon. Unfortunately, there was little wind and we did not get to sail as much as we wanted.

The sunset dinner cruise was one of the highlights of our stay in Auckland, New Zealand. It was incredibly magical for my wife and I because we were on our honeymoon, and the sunset cruise was so romantic! There were only a total of 6 guests on board, including us, and the crew was incredibly friendly -- everyone had a great time! e each got to sail the yacht through the Waitemata harbour a fantastic experience in itself and as the sun set, and the city lights sparkled, a delicious seafood dinner was served. We tried a bottle of the local white wine from New Zealand's Marlborough region and it complimented dinner perfectly! We had a wonderful time aboard our yacht, and would recommend this cruise to anyone who travels to Auckland, New Zealand and wants an unforgettable romantic sailing experience!
