The Auckland Hop-on Hop-off tour includes commentary and visits the "Big 14 Attractions" of Auckland. Buses leave every 30 minutes (hourly in Winter). Explore  the likes of Kelly Tarlton's, Auckland Museum, Mount Eden and Sky Tower to name just a few.

Valid for one or two days, the Auckland hop-on hop-off tour takes one-hour to complete an entire loop, or you can choose to hop-on and off during the day visiting Aucklands attractions along the way.

There is a comprehensive audio commentary on the bus as it travels around the loop. The audio commentary is available in English only.
Chinese, French, Korean, Japanese, Spanish and German timetable is available from the driver.

Easy and convenient overview of the greater Auckland area, but a one-day pass does not actually work with seeing (getting off at) more than about 2 places in a day due to the time spread between recurring busses. The bus itself was relatively new, in very good condition, and clean inside and out. Clean windows!

It is a wonderful trip and we had a very talkative driver who gave us all kinds of tips, stories and gossips. It made hours of bus drive endurable. If you also love animals, go ahead, book this trip. You won'd regret.

My American cousins went on the trip. Generally they enjoyed it but were really frustrated having to wait 45-60 minutes at certain stops. This meant that they did not get to consider the section trip out to the zoo from the museum or spend much time at some of the venues.

Honestly, the tour was... okay. I would recommend for older folks who can't really walk the city. _br/_ Although the bus was comfortable and came often, there weren't that many stops and you really need a full day to take one of the longer loops. I've done several city bus tours all over and maybe because Auckland is smaller than other cities I've done them in, but this seemed like the least valuable bus trip to date.

In winter this bus goes only every 60 minutes and makes 9 stops, most of them destinations such as the Sky Tower or aquarium.. A very small portion of this trip could be described as scenic. At NZ$35 per person it's not worth the money: pick a destination and take a metro bus: it's cheaper and faster. Commentary is taped and driver seemed to know little history.

It was the first week of the "winter" season when the buses run every hour. In the summer they run every half hour. It made it a bit less convenient, but we enjoyed the trip very much, especially the cathedral and the museum. It's great that you can get into the museum for a reduced rate because you are on the tour. Very good narratives between stops. The driver was very helpful and competent. The bus was very comfortable and punctual. I would highly recommend it.

I would suggest the NZ tour operators of this tour arrange a better form of quing, as we qued for over 1hr and each time a bus arrived, people that came after us jump on the bus and we had to wait another 20mns or so, this was most dissapointing. but the tour itself is great

Our tour on th Hop-On Hop-Off bus in Auckland worked out well. We were able to store our luggage at the Ferry building after leaving the Holland-America ship docked near by, and enjoyed the bus trip. We got off and enjoyed the rose gardens and the museum.

We were only in Auckland for one day. The hop-on hop-off tour is the very best way to see a city in a short period of time. We did a complete circle on the tour and then stopped the second time around at those things where we wanted to spend some time. The narration was great, and the bus picked us up at each stop in a timely fashion.
