Rise early to experience the wonders of World Heritage Listed Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park and be mesmerized by the changing colors of Uluru (Ayers Rock) as the sun rises. Enjoy an informative guided walk at Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) and learn about the surrounding desert and its unique wildlife. You'll hear stories of Creation and gain a better understanding of why this region is very sacred to the Aboriginal people.

One hour before sunrise, you will be picked up from your Ayers Rock Resort hotel. Once inside the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park, enjoy a revitalizing cup of tea or coffee and see the changing colors of Uluru as the sun rises over the desert.

Continue to the western section of the Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Here lie the 36 immense and weathered rock domes of Kata Tjuta that rise out of the Australian desert.

Embark on a walking tour into Walpa (Olga) Gorge and learn of the dome's formation and about the regions wildlife. During the walk, keep an eye out for the ancient Aboriginal petroglyphs (stone carvings) that can only be found on the floor of the gorge.

At the conclusion of your guided walk, you will return to Ayers Rock Resort.

Sunrise on the Rock a must however the real highlight was Kata Tjuta. Make sure you add a tour to this amazing grouping of domes.

These are the standard tours for this area. They take you to the viewing sites , give you drinks and nibbles , it is very crowded but the SEIT Small Group Tour was much better.

I loved seeing Uluru at sunrise. I enjoyed seeing Kata Tjuta, especially Walpa Gorge. But we totally missed the hot drink offered in lieu of breakfast. We felt rushed.

For the money paid, it was disappointing to be whisked away from Uluru 10 minutes after sunrise when the most spectacular colour changes were yet to come. The whole affair is now a mass experience and something of a disappointment._br/_ However, the Kata Tjuta tour was very good, much quieter and really beautiful. _br/_ I know most people who go to Uluru want to see the sunrise but it's not something I'd particulalrly recommend nowadays.

Itinerary and subject very good. but slightly rushed as "drive" had to fit with other schedules. Actually arrive back in hotel over an hour before suggested end time. I would have liked more time at Kata Tjuta.

The views and scenery at the gorge were first class. The tour driver was informative and was on timing schedule throughout.
