Bangkok Tuk Tuk Small Group Adventure Tour

Bangkok, Thailand

Travel as the locals do, by Tuk Tuk! Visit some of Bangkok's most famous sights: Phra Sumeru Fortress, the bustling Amulet Market, Wat Pho and its Reclining Buddha, Thieves Market and the colorful flower market of Dheves on this fun and exciting Bangkok tour.

Make your way to the lobby of the Viengtai Hotel, Rambutri Road, Banglamphu (runs parallel to Khao San Road) to meet your guide. You'll travel together by taxi or minivan to the starting point of this Bangkok Tuk Tuk tour.

Board your motorized rickshaw commonly known as Tuk Tuk with your local guide from Phra Arthit Road. Travel past Thammasart University into Phra Chan Road to the Amulet Market, where various religious amulets, charms and traditional medicines are available. Your informative guide will explain the significance that these items play in the Thai culture.

Continue by Tuk Tuk to your next stop, Wat Pho temple, the oldest temple in Bangkok. Explore the Wat Pho temple complex with your guide before climbing back onboard your Tuk Tuk.

Travel by Tuk Tuk to Phahurat Market, the Phahurat Market is in the heart of Bangkok's little India where all kinds of fabrics, cloths, ornaments and accessories are sold along with stalls selling delicious Indian snacks. You'll continue to Woeng Nakorn Kasem in the Klong Thom quarter, also known as the "thieves market".  It is a second hand market for Thai and Chinese antiques where you'll will find an array of goods for sale from porcelain to furniture.

Your next stop is Wat Saket. Wat Saket sits at the bottom of an artificial hill, often referred to as the Golden Mount and dates back to the Ayuthaya era, prior to Bangkok becoming the capital of the Siamese kingdom. The temple was used for cremation ceremonies.

Your tour concludes at Wat Saket but not before you climb up the 318 steps to the top of the Golden Mount where you'll have amazing 360 degree views of the surrounding old Rattankosin Island.

Your guide can assist you in getting a taxi back to your hotel if needed.

The tour was very nice. The guide was very professional and showed us sites in Bangkok that other tours do not go to. We learned a lot about Buddhist religion, what local people believe gives them luck and happiness. We experienced tuk-tuk rides and strolled through different Bangkok's markets. Recommended for everyone who wants to see old Bangkok through eyes of a local.

Enjoyed it. One of our favorite tours. It's great to just get in the Tuk Tuk and bebop around the city.

This is an EXCELLENT, FUN way of getting around and seeing the most important sights. Problem: the tour starts at a venue away from public transport access. Tour guide - EXCELLENT!

A very fun experience. The guide took us to several different places. It would have been nice to have some time to shop at the different markets.

I was lucky enough to be the only person on this tour. Had a great time. The tour guide was very sweet and was genuinely excited to talk about Bangkok and its history. The highlight was the visit to the Golden Mount.

A good introduction to Bangkok which we did on our first day. Our guide traveled with us in the tuk tuk. The meeting arrangements could have been better we had very specific instructions about where to meet, very early in the morning at a railway station. Despite that we had a 45 min wait and the guide said he had been waiting elsewhere. I would try asking for a hotel pickup in the tuk tuk.

You can get around on a tuk tuk on your own. But it's nice to have a guide.
