Artistic Barcelona Afternoon Tour

Barcelona, Spain

Discover fabulous architecture by the incomparable Antoni Gaudi on an afternoon tour of Artistic Barcelona. Accompanied by your professional guide, you will visit the UNESCO-listed Parc Guell on this half-day tour, plus Barcelona's most famous landmark, La Sagrada Familia.

Your cultural tour of Barcelona begins along Paseo de Gracia to see Gaudi's famous apartment buildings, Casa Batllo and La Pedrera. You'll then enjoy a 30-minute visit at Gaudi's bizarre Parc Guell, which has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Then it's on to Gaudi's unfinished masterpiece, La Sagrada Familia (Holy Family) Cathedral, Barcelona's most famous landmark. You will have around 30 minutes to explore the exterior of this notable structure.

You will also visit Barcelona's Monumental Bull Ring and the famous Cathedral Sta Maria del Mar, the only Gothic church in Catalonia completely finished. The tour ends near the Picasso Museum which exhibits works from the world-famous painter's delightful blue and pink periods (ticket not included).

the bus just passed by la pedrera and casa botillo, it was so fast we didn't have the chance to take a good shot, and look.

This tour is heavily overpriced for what you actually get out of it. Simply a coach ride with a tour guide who speaks broken English and takes you to free sites is not worth this cost. The tour description was not accurate as it did not include the Bull Ring as promised.

This was a great tour - we got to see the highlights of Barcelona and had a very nice tour guide. She even went out of her way to get us into the Sagrada Familia which is not included in the tour (we wanted to do this during our free time) and on the discounted group rate. Very informative.

excellent--great guide--only complaint is that is should have started earlier as it got dark when we were still in the park

The tour was a dual English/Italian tour. I felt that I did not get a full English tour although the guide was attentive and knowledgeable.

Our tour guide, Agnes, was a fountof information on the history of Barcelona and the beautiful buildings we were seeing. Unfortunatley we couldn't go into La Sagrada because it was Sunday but the Parc Guell is_br/_ very interesting.

The tour was supposed to be English speaking (90% of the travelers were, but 90% of the explanation was in Spanish.

The tour was average. We had a large group - an entire busload. It was difficult to hear and to understand our tour guide. The visit to Sagrada Familia was to the outside only. Visit to Parc Guell was more enjoyable; we had time to wander and explore on our own.

Too many language translations, our guide had to translate in French, Spanish and English - it was disctracting.

This tour gives you an overview of the Modernist architecture of Barcelona with stops at Sagrada Familia Church (outside only), and a more extensive stop at Parc Guell, with the tour ending at Santa Maria del Mar Church. The tour guide was very thorough in her commentary and very pleasant.

I think the only good thing about the tour was the bus, which was nicely air conditioned. The acoustics of the microphone was poor, even though the tour guide was speaking English. The tour also did not allow us enough time to explore on our own at La Sagrada Familia or Parc Guell. In fact, all we did at La Sagrada Familia was walk around the perimeter of the church. Then we got on the bus again. At Parc Guell, I decided to ditch the tour, so I could explore the park more. It is a big park with much to see. To get back to Central Barcelona, there is a bus (No. 92) that will take you down the hill. The bus stop is right outside the entrance of the park, and the price for the ride is 1,45 euros. The tour had one more stop after Parc Guell, but having ditched the tour, I cannot comment on the final destination.

This tour was amazing! I had been to Barca before but when I came I didn't have a chance to see all of Gaudi's work since it is so spread out across the city. This tour made sure you saw everything!

It was a pretty good tour although the group contained a few Spanish speaking tourists along with the English speaking ones so our tour guide had to say everything twice. The Gaudi Park was the highlight of this afternoon.

A great quick overview of Gaudi's creations. The open-top tourist bus covers a lot of this ground though (and it was much cheaper) so I felt we doubled up a bit here. But if you like a guided tour - this was interesting.

Wonderful interesting tour. I don't think I ever cared much about architecture before this trip and my introduction to Gaudi on this tour. Parc Guiell was so impressive and fun, and I appreciated the guide's extra information about everything we were seeing. While would have enjoyed experiencing the park on my own it was a better experience for a first-timer like myself to know a little about the creator of the park and some night into why and were certain things are in the park. The Segrada Familia was absolutely breathtaking, even just from the outside. I had seen pictures before, but nothing can really prepare you for how amazing this structure is when you see it in person and are standing there looking up at it. Once again the guide was terrific, and I loved how she made sure we could all hear her when she talked or explained something.

The tour was great and so was our tour guide. It is a great tour to see a lot of things in Barcelona as the bus drove us all over. However the tour does not include a visit inside Segrada Familia which I wish we got to see.

Good itinerary. The tour guide was very responsive to question but because the tour was simultaneously narrated in two languages (English and Italian), I felt that we had less content communicated due to time constraints.

Can't say enough good things about this one. The guide was terrific. Just the trip to the Guell Park alone would have been well worth the cost of the tour. Great way to see all of the major Gaudi works in an afternoon.

The only site you get to visit is Park Guell. The Gaudi houses you just drive by in the bus, the Sagrada Familia you just walk outside its gates. Everything was introduced first in Spanish then English making it hard to stay engaged.

The tour provided an overview of sites in Barcelona in a short period of time that would have taken a great deal longer on my own. The tour provided a sense of the city and allowed me to decide how I would spend my limited time there. After the tour I was able to focus on the Barcelona sites I wanted to explore more thoroughly. Well worth the cost and time.

The tour guide was good and helpful but it was very rushed, although very informative. We were supposed to have 30 minutes at Segrada Familial but didn't. The tour was supposed to be 3.12 hours but because it was rushed it lasted barely 2 hours. Overall is was very informative but too expensive for what we actually got!

Tour was interesting, and guide was knowledgeable. However, she had to say everything in Spanish and then in English and then in French. In my opinion, it would be better if tour was only scheduled 3 or 4 times per week, which would then put enough English speakers on each tour to avoid this problem.

I was pleased to see all of the lovely architecture in Barcelona. On hindsight, I would have done a different tour to be able to see more of Barcelona, rather than focus on Gaudi's stuff.
