I found the barcelona card excellent value for money, i think it paid for itself just in travel for 5 days alone. The free access to various museums was excellent and led me to one or two i would of otherwise missed and really enjoyed. If you're in Barcelona to see the art and think you're going to be taking the metro several times in a day this is well worth getting.

My card stopped working after the first time I used it. Was unable to get to the central office to get a replacement so I had to find a gate agent to let me through the gate every time I needed to ride the train. A real pain. I was not alone. I saw a mother and daughter having the same problem.

I truly enjoyed using the Barcelona Card and all it's great benefits. The only reason I am giving the card 4 stars is because when we arrived to the airport we found out the train that could take us to the city will be ready in 5 years! Thankfully the representative at the information desk told us about a bus that could take us to the city but the Barcelona Card was not accepted on the bus therefore we had to pay a little extra for the bus ride. It was a little inconvenient and frustrating but the rest of the trip run smoothly.

Used a 3 day Barcelona Card and would definitely use again on a return journey. Train straight from the airport after collecting card into the main station, then onto the metro for the rest of the city. The average time to wait for the metro was about minute and a half, so quick and tidy.

Barcelona card is very useful. Hop on trains and buses all day long and evening without worrying about the language or having the right change. As far as discounts goes. You can get similar discounts from legitimate sellers in La Rambla and other parts of Barcelona. Also they can provide tickets up front to save queuing. Overall good value for money and works out cheaper than paying for transport.

A must have when in Barcelona, the best way ti get around the city is on the metro and at 2 Euros per single journey the card pays for its self after only a few trips (excluding the connection from the airport) the guide allows you to visit this expensive city without spending a fortune. I would highly recommend it to anyone who visits the city.

We loved being able to just use public transport all over Barcelona without having to worry about paying all the time. Only 4 stars since I never ended up using any of the discounts because I booked other tours and used the museum pass. Use discretion before deciding to buy this.

We did not find the Barcelona Card a valuable tool. One can obtain a more reasonable Metro pass once in Barcelona. We would not recommend this card.

If you are a student, a senior, or disabled, the Barcelona Card loses its value because the entry fees at museums are discounted anyway in which case you should look at the options for the metro system only. Insofar as airport transport is concerned, the airport bus service is convenient, inexpensive and excellent.

We went to the Tourism office across the street and down the stairs from El Corte Ingles in Placa Catalonya. Took forever as there was a long line and not nearly enough help to handle everyone. Not really sure it is worth it for this ticket. Much prefer the On/Off Tourist Buses

Purchasing the Barcelona Card for our trip was the best thing EVER!! The Metro transit system was so easy to use. I just wish we would have had a bus schedule included with the guidebook. The discounts and free admissions to museums and other venues came in handy! I would definitely purchase the card again if we visit Barcelona. Also, it would be nice to have a map or schedule of how to depart the airport to the city using the card. Great job!

It was confusing at first but once you understand the public transport system, this card (with the guidebook) is very straight forward. One tip though, always know more of the language before going as most locals don't tend to speak English.

I feel like my purchase of two Barcelona Cards for 4 days was a total waste of money. The discounts do not equal the amount of money I paid. The only good thing was the travel card, but I could have purchased that once I got here at any metro station. My opinion: don't waste your money like I did.

If you are doing the sights of Barcelona and have only less the 3 or 4 days, you do not need this. The subways (metro) are inexpensive and my wife and I walked everywhere, seniors that we are.

the big map provided was utterly useless. Please improve the content of the map or link the important places with corresponding metro /other public transport connections in a separate sheet (the guide book was partly useful). I spent a lot of time to figure out how to reach a specific place by just looking at the big map but was clueless on how to use the map!

The Barcelona card is a must have. It was nice not to have to worry about purchasing tickets for any kind of transportation. Along with the convenience we also received discounts at places like the Sagrada Familia and the Picasso Museum among others. If you're traveling to Barcelona I strongly recommend it. Tip: the number of days that the Barcelona card is valid for is not on a 24 hour system. It on a day to day system. For instance, we bought it for 5 days, but used it on the first evening once when we arrived, thinking it would be valid until 5 days from the time we first used it. WRONG! the one time we used it in the evening counted as one day and we only used it for 4 more days. So use it wisely when you first arrive.

This was our first trip to Barcelona and the Barcelona card had been recommended to us. So we took the plunge and all four of us would highly recommend it. We purchased online in advance, collected from Barcelona airport and used it immediately to get the train from the airport to centre. Then onto the Metro straight to our hotel. Perfect and it continued to save us every day. Across the four of us over five days we think we probably save over 100 between us. Came in handy for the wives shopping!

This travel card is a must. We had a 4-day pass. Even without using the entrance discounts although we used some, the card paid for itself. Ease of collection at airport, includes travel tofrom city. Pre book from home. DO NOT GO TO BARCELONA WITHOUT GETTING ONE OF THESE. Bargain. Thanks.

Loved the fact that all I had to do was pick up my Card and Book. Didn't have to worry about making the payment there. P.S. If you plan on going to Parc Guell make sure to use the card on the small local bus 114 which stops right at the entrance. Otherwise, it's a hike.

Thanks to your excellent site and subsequent reviews, we decided to pre-purchased our 2 x 4 day Barcelona Cards before we left home Australia. Excellent value and so easy to use. In no time, we felt like sudo-locals and with this card were able to enjoy unlimited public transport and tours which I am sure would otherwise have been very difficult considering we do not speak a word of spanish. Being a first time visitor to Barcelona - had a wonderful time and will definately be returning in the near future.

Excellent trip. The Barcelona card was more than worth the price. We were told by our hostel that we could have got a T10 tube ticket which would have been cheaper, but as not spanish speaking it is difficult to understand where exactly the T10 allows you to travel. We used the Barcelona card on the finicular train to Monjuic and got discounts off many other entrance fees. It means you can hop off and on the tubes with ease and not worry about getting money out at every station and running the risk of being pick pocketed! I would highly recommend the card if you are expecting to travel here, there and everywhere!!

My trip was brilliant, and the card was well worth it. Buying the card online, saved us all the hassle of trying to figure out what the prices are and the trains to take in Barcelona.The information desk was very easy to find and the card was also easy to get organised. Barcelona was a good place to visit with loads of history. it was very interesting and loads of stuff to do in the day and night. The food was also pretty good as well. One major concern as a lady that everyone advised was- Watch your bags. But coming from a country where we always had to be aware, I was not out of my depth.

The Barcelona Card is well worth having for train, metro and bus fares alone - without the need to queue to buy tickets or constantly have change to purchase them. The discounts at many of the tourist attractions were an added bonus, although we didn't go in to any of the free entry museums, etc. as the weather was too nice to be inside ! We had a superb time and saw some fantastic sights. We were also most impressed by the cleanliness and lack of litter. We had been warned about pick pockets but personally did not feel threatened at all and it was great to not be hassled by street vendors who were about but did not approch us. Should we visit Barcelona in the future, we will definitely get the Barcelona Card again. Great value for the money !

What a card. Covers literally all means of tpt except the Tourist busses. Freebees are a great bonus. Use them. Trains,Busses,Trams, Barcelona Card and a good Map, you cant go wrong. Enjoy. We did.
