On this two-hour morning walking tour of Barcelona's Gothic Quarter (known as the Barri Gotic), you will visit the district's streets, squares and old buildings, and learn about the quarter's history and people.

Alongside Barcelona's medieval buildings are the remains of the ancient Roman city, and the walking tour includes a visit to the Temple d'August, the best preserved Roman relic in Barcelona. You will also visit the Placa del Rei, where you will see many medieval buildings, including the Palatine chapel of Santa Agata.

Our notification had an incorrect meeting place so we had to race to get to the right place to avoid missing this tour. So glad we made it as it was brilliant. Our guide was a local and had a great sense of humour. Excellent overview of the area, the history and the major sights. So many little laneways with so much history. Truly amazing. Would recommend this tour. We were also advised of a little bakery that had great cakes and hot chocolate. After the tour we went back and saw the locals dancing to an orchestra. Brilliant tour guide!!!

This was a very interesting tour, giving loads of detailed information on the history of Barcelona in general and in the Gothic Quarter area. The walking part was not strenusous at all and provided a close up view of many important landmarks. A full Spanish historical and cultural experience. A must do when in Barcelona, highly recommended.

Wonderful. Our guide was perfect. We left with the a much better understanding of the Gothic Quarter and lots of tidbits of the city in general, that you can read in a book, but doesn't reasonate in quite the same way. A fantastic value.

First off, we were given written instructions to go to Playa Catalunyaand look for the "I" and that we would be met there. When we finally found the little "I", we went to the sales counter there and they directed us down in the Gothic Square by City Hall. We came off of a ship, took a shuttle, walked the length of the Ramblas, only to find out that we had already been past where we had to go._br/_ There were not enough ear phone sets for the number of people on the tour, neither my wife nor myself got earphones, even though our guide said we could stay near him to hear, with such a big group, that wasn't possible._br/_ So, we believe that we missed out on a lot of the information provided. As far as we can say is that our guide did the best that was possible. If we come back to Barcelona, we would ljke to take this walk again.

A beautiful area of town. Well worth it to learn just what you are looking at. After the tour, we walked to the water front. (10 min) then turned right towards the Columbus Monument and walked up La Ramblas enjoying the sights and ate some great paella.

We have done other walking tours with Viator in other countries that we very much enjoyed.We did not find this tour very informative or very interesting. Very little history was given. It seemed that only buildings were pointed out without without much detail. The guide was very hard to understand.

This was a great tour of the Gothic Quarter. Our guide Oliver was great. Instead of leading us around and giving us random facts about the buildings, he arranged the tour so that it progressed through the history of the city from Roman times up to more recent history. The group was a bit too large for the experience, but he did a good job of keeping us together and engaged. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Tour guide was great, but the group got a bit too large which made it difficult to hear- if the tour guide had a mic it would have been better. Also he walked quite fast and by the time the group all caught up he was telling stories already. otherwise very knowledgeable & happy to answer questions. Tour was good timing and not too much walking.
