The tour was well conducted and the guide was very knowledgable. The arrangements with the headphones etc worked very well. The areas visited were interesting. The only down side was the tapas proved at the end of the tour was very poor. Not a good recommendation at all for what the tour was about

Our guide Antonia did a good job of explaining what makes Barcelona such a foodie haven. I enjoyed the trip to La Boqueria as I managed to stop by Cafe Pinotxo for "Cafe con Leche" and pastries. It was too bad at the end of the tour there wasn't a vegetarian option.

The tour is not what the web page says and the tour conductor was in a bad mood, he was angry at people taking pictures

Overall good trip with interesting guide. If you are looking for a broad introduction to Catalan food culture and a chance to view lots of different food and hear some of the history this is for you. However, if you're hoping for a more in depth culinary look at Catalan food, with tasting discussion of ingredients and how food is prepared, than you might be disappointed on this trip.

We got off to a shaky start when the operator claimed they had 15 more people on the tour than they were supposed to have. As it was all computer booked and confirmed I'd say it was their mistake in not reading the booking info. Regardless we still got our 2hr tour and visited some great places. I agree with other reviews I have read that the tour could include a couple more tastings like the sweets or chocolate. I found a friend on the tour and we spent the rest of the day together going back over some of the places we saw. All in all I enjoyed it and would recommend it.

A great tour, well worth the money. You need comfortable shoes, as quite a distance was covered. The cost included fruit salad and tapas: great, but would have loved some more small samples.

This was my most favorite tour of all! The headsets provided for the walking tour was genius - we could hear everything that Oliver discussed regarding the city of Barcelona and the gourmet foods that are available. It was also an excellent way to familiarize myself with the various sections of Barcelona allowing me to come back later for purchases.

Good overview of area, however wanted more history and actual workings of the market instead of just a walk through with free time to walk around ourselves while the tour guide went to get us refreshments.

A very enjoyable tour. The guide took us to several shops that sold authentic local produce. The tapas and wine at the end of the tour was excellent. The only down side was that the group was very large so we had to take turns going into some of the shops.

The tour guide walked way too fast without any regard for slower walkers. Save yourself the money and just go to the markets yourself. You won't learn anymore more from the tour guide.

The guide was very knowledgeable and a pleasure to walk around with. I enjoyed this walk and found it to be both entertaining and informative. I went back and visited some of the places the guide showed us afterward, and it was nice to have an introduction into Spanish cuisine.

This tour was really great in that it took us by shops that specialized in Spanish goodies! Cookies, nuts, truffles, coffee and two markets! The guide was great, and the tour also went into the Gothic Quarter, which was really interesting. Highly recommend this tour for any foodie!

Enjoyed the history connected to the food traditions. Just long enough to start the day. I was hoping for a few recommendations of where to dine, but I think looking for a line up outside the restaurants is a good indicator.

We had a terrific local guide. The Boqueria market is unlike anything I had ever seen. It was beautiful and appealed to all of the senses. We didn't actually go into most of the stops. It would be great to be given a map of the stops so you could return with more time. I would have liked to go back to some of them, but I couldn't find them.

This was an excellent tour overall. We were taken to a number of different locations throughout the old town, and the various shops and traditions were explained along the way. The guide was easy to understand and she gave just enough history and explanation at each location, without getting off the track. Many of us were disappointed that we did not get more than 2 tastes on the tour, as other tours in the past. It would not have to be much, a sample of cheese or sausage, but the foods we did have were very good. The only other suggestion is that since this is such a popular tour they divide it into 2 groups. I would definitely recommend this tour.
