Beautiful town but tour was more focused on history than one would expect for a wine tour. The lunch at the Chateau was the best part - great food and a wonderful setting. Afterwards we went on our own to a wine shop to learn and taste as the rest of the tour was of the historic sites.

It was great. The guide speaks excellent English and the lunch was nice. The village is good but I would expect more wine tasting. There was only 3 wine sampled through the whole day.

one word- FABULOUS!! we were treated to a "gourmet" rustic wine makers luncheon at the chateau. The tour was very informative, and we were made to feel like we had been friends of the winemaker forever. DO NOT miss this tour when in Bordeaux- well worth close to the 100 euro's

th whole trip was a great experiance ,our guide was very informative. I would recomend this trip to anyone not just for the wine tasting but what goes into making a grand cru wine and to learn about the history of Saint-Emilion and the area .

Excellent wines; speakers at each winery were excellent; tour guide was exceptionally knowledgeable about the wines, as well as the Medieval town of St. Emilion.

An excellent day made extra special by an informative and well spoken guide. Both chataeux visited provided us with a well rounded insight into the making of wine, its grading and subesquent cost. That was the only "sad" part. Had a lovely buffet lunch at the second chateau where the owner entertained us with a wry sense of humour, much appreciated by me. I would recommend this tour to anyone making their first visit to the St Emilion region.

Excellent tour, not to be missed. Guide with exceptional knowledge. I particularly enjoyed the tour at chateau Figeac. The lunch was also quite good. The visit of the town of St.Emilion was interesting but be prepared to walk on some quite steep & slippery streets.

Nice trip, nice guide, visited good vineyards and had a good lunch! Be prepared to get a 5050 FrenchEnglish guide, meaning that heshe will talk in French first and then in English. It worked out ok! We printed out the voucher the last minute and found out that we were supposed to call the tourist office the day before the trip. Everything turned out ok even though we didn't do it, so I dont quite get why we were supposed to do so. Overall, an interesting and nice day trip!

This was one of the highlights of our time in Bordeaux. It was a lovely day and the lunch was just beautiful. The winery visits were fun and informative and our guide was professional. We dont usually go on large coach tours but this one was well worth it. Great Value.

Had great time in the day out. The wine tasting trip was great experience we visted Chateaux Figeac and Haut Sarpe. People in the chateaux are very friendly. The trip is organized with enough time for us to look at some shops in St Emilion.

Overall, we enjoyed our tour of the two wineries chosen for the day. However, our guide was disappointing. She was very pleasant and knowledgeable, but answered questions directed to the vintner, and in one instance, after she answered a question, the vintner told her he would prefer to answer. She generally talked too much and at great length, repeating the same information. In addition, she received 4 cell phone calls while conducting our tour, 3 of them in a church! She did go outside to speak to her caller, but we felt it was inappropriate and she should have had her cell phone turned off while working. We provided all this feedback to her at the end of the day in the form a written evaluation that she requested. Thank you for asking and we hope this feedback is used constructively.

Great trip. The city is wonderful, and our guide spoke French and English fluently. She did a good job of explaining things in both languages. The two vineyard tours were great, and the lunch at the vineyard was awesome. Really cool trip. Well worth it.

The wine tasting and the lunch were perfect. The translation of the French spoken by the winemaker's representative was a much shorter version of what she apparently was saying. Not a big problem.

Excellent lunch with wines included in the price. Informative visit to two chateau vineyards. The guide spoke both English and French but more of the latter. Ample time to visit the town of St. Emilion.

Both chateaus are wonderful. Saint-Emilion is very charming, and our guide is very enthusiastic and loves her job. Highly recommend this day trip to everybody. Has a slightly different flavor than the Medoc day trip.

We had an excellent guide. She really was an expert on the whole wine-making process and was able to make it understandable to the people on the tour in both French and English. I wish there had been more time in St. Emilion.
