The Total Boston Experience

Boston, United States of America

The best of old and new Boston have been combined with a journey into the historic countryside towns of Cambridge, Lexington and Concord. Follow the route of Paul Revere and view the "Battle Trail" where the minutemen fought for their freedom. Journey past the homes of Hawthorne, Alcott and Emerson. In Boston, stop at the Faneuil Hall, "Quincy Marketplace." Boston hotel pickup, trolley tour and expert narration included.

You'll have time for lunch and shopping on your own in historic Harvard Square. In the afternoon, view the 18th century steeples and stately Beacon Hill townhouses alongside the monumental architecture of the new Boston -- tt's 371 years of history, tradition and Yankee ingenuity. You'll enjoy a two-hour, fully-narrated tour of Boston, including a 20-minute stop to see the USS Constitution.

The Total Boston Experience is a great way to see Boston and the surrounding area. It was very comprehensive and the tour guide was very knowledgeable. A lot of places were closed in November as it's not tourist season, but that was not the fault of this tour. We still got to see plenty. Would definitely recommend this trip!

Like the bus tour part. Guy knew history and very easy to listen too. Trolley too bumpy and guide's voice was grading, so we got off. Didn't do the cruise, as we were doing that the next day. A bit too much to do in one day.

I have gone on Viator tours all over the world and this is the first time I didn't think it was terrific. The itinerary was fine, but I was disappointed in my tour guide. She was an older lady and kept mixing up her dates...jumping around and confusing everyone. I don't think its necessary to go onto the Harvard campus. Rather than stopping there, stop in Concord. The trolleys and the rest of the tour was great.

Out trip was great. We saw more than we could have on our own. The only problem was that the bus did not pick up at our hotel. We called for directions and was told the cross streets but the name of the tour was not Viator it was Greyline. We found this out by going to all the tour group the day before. I did not want to use a afternoon doing this.

Liked this tour although it takes the whole day. One day is really not enough for Boston. Lot of history to hear. Good guides. Recommend at least 3 days for this great city. However got an idea in this one day from the tour and recommend this way of exploring the city.

You are not with the same guide for the whole day. In the morning, motorcoach tour to Concord and Lexington for short visits. Had time to grab a hot dog before boarding the boat for the harbour cruise. Nice to get off the boat and visit the USS Constitution. Once back on the mainland, started the trolley tour which was cut short due to traffic. Recommended for those who do not want to drive.

Enjoyable, but there should have been better directions on where to board the bus. It should have said capital center. Thet rolley should have more comfortable seats when you are one there for 2 hours.

I enjoyed this tour and had a very informed tour guide. There weren't too many people on the bus so it made it enjoyabale.

Excellent way to get a good overview and a taste of Boston and its surroundings in one day. Lots to see so not much time at each stop 10-25 minutes -just enough. Pickup location on website could be better, Boston Transportation Center. Online tickets have to be exchanged inside before boarding the bus.

The driver/tour director had very little knowledge of his tour. Several times he read from his notes. He also had poor pronunciation of words. He should be better trained. It might be a good idea for him to read the book "John Adams". He then may understand what he's trying to explain to his group. One complaint we had was he is extremely political. He was not professional, needs lots of training, and we did not get our money's worth.

The tour guide had poor diction, which made it difficult to understand, and the chronology of events was scattered and therefore difficult to piece together.

So many great sights and memories of old. What a beautiful country we live in, so full of marvelous sights and wonderful, thoughtful people.

Concord & Lexington in the morning were a little disappointing - not all that much to see or do. Afternoon river cruise and trolley which actually ended up being in the coach due to a parade and traffic. Better bet is to arrange the trolley and boat trip separately - wish I'd done that instead.

A MUST DO is all I can say. The history and scenery of the morning to Cambridge Lexington and Concord was fantastic and topped off with a harbour cruise and the Trolley tour. Great day, great value.

The Total Boston experience is a bust. After purchasing tickets online we were picked at the hotel and taken to a main office to stand in line to get tickets. I don't feel we gained anything from the morning bus tour of Cambridge, Lexington, and Concord what a waste. Everything we heard in the morning was basically repeated by the awful tour guides on the trolley tour. We were let off the bus to stand in line for the Harbour tour. _br /__br /_ No time for lunch, we bought a terrible hot dog and lemonade for 2 for 18. If you go to Boston take the Duck tour I heard that was great. I will never take a bus tour in the New England area again.

The bus tour in the morning to Lexington and Concord was really very interesting, but the stays were quite short, especially in Lexington. It was a pity that we only stopped at North Bridge but passed the town. The harbour cruise was really good and very informative. The trolley bus tour in the afternoon...well, it was part of the package, though doing it by walking was a better alternative that I did later.

The weather was abominable. The morning bus tour was okay, but it rained continually. Afternoon rain was so bad we couldn't even see out the window. I have no problem with the tour, just the weather.
