Luxembourg Day Trip from Brussels: Two Countries in One Day
Brussels, Belgium
If you have just one day to spare, take a full-day tour from Brussels to explore Luxembourg and the picturesque Meuse Valley. With your professional guide, journey through the Belgian countryside to Luxembourg, where you will discover the capital, Grand Duchy, and its highlights. On your way to Luxembourg, you will also enjoy a stop in Bastogne, where a notorious battle took place in 1944, leading to the Mardasson Memorial in memory of the American soldiers who fell there.
Board a comfortable coach in Brussels with your guide for a scenic drive through the green hills of the Belgian Ardennes to Bastogne. This town is famous for being the site of an infamous battle in 1944 between American and German forces. With your guide, visit the Mardasson Memorial, an impressive monument built to honor the American soldiers killed during the terrible battle.
Continue with an hour's ride to the landlocked country of Luxemburg. Upon arrival, your local guide will take you on a sightseeing tour through the capital, Grand Duchy. See the modern city, which forms part of the European Union. After lunch, continue to the historical city center, where you'll have free time to explore at your own leisure.
At the end of your two-country day trip, journey through the picturesque rolling hills of the Ardennes to reach Brussels by mid-evening.

Extremely satisfied with the tour. The guide was very good and funny! His one liners didn't stop throughout the day and it made the whole trip that much more enjoyable. A fair warning though that Luxembourg is a fair bit away from Brussels and the drive WILL take about 2-2.5 hours (depending upon traffic ofcourse). But, it's not all that painful a drive as the bus is comfortable to have a quick snooze. Luxembourg as a city is quite nice and there is plenty of time for a walk around the city centre with the tour guide and to do your own thing (you can take a one hour city train that drives you around the main city areas for like EUR9). On the whole, highly recommended a tour and ideal value for money.

Plenty of places to see in Luxembourg, so in my opinion we could have easily spent one more hour (at least) there, instead of spending it in gas stations where no one really needed half an hour. Also our guide must have been extremely tired, maybe he had a party night before, he didn't give us many explanations if any, he seemed extremely bored. Also I don't know if this is the rule just in Belgium, I took Viator tours in other countries as well and never seen this, but I don't find it appropriate for the guide to tell us there is a small box where we can show our appreciation. Should we wish to, of course.

Luxembourg was a delight. Our guide was very pleasant and knowledgable and friendly; atune to the needs and requirements of those on the trip (IE: bathroom breaks and food for children travelling with us) He also made a point to speak to everyone on the tour, imparting little bits of information, and ensuring those who did not speak one of the main languages (English, French or Spanish) were assisted as best he could.

I loved this tour the best out of the 3 I did from Brussels. It was amnazing, I loved Denant and everywhere else we went, I truly felt like I traveled so much that day and the tour guide was excellent. I would be happy to pay and do this tour again.

The guide was not effective in presenting the history and information about the sights we saw on the tour. He did not make sure the group was together to hear his commentary and much information was lost to those who weren't close enough to hear him speaking.

The tour guide did not give much information during the tour. The stop in the town in Belgium was worthless.

Guide was ok but seemed more interested in chatting to the driver than the passengers. Luxembourg is a lot of driving for not much to be shown.

Most of the time in the trip was in bus. Very less time (around 2 hours) was provided at Luxembourg. Giving 1 hour of lunch time was not required. Maybe should have supplied food boxes to save this time and show more of the city. Only Dinant valley stopover was good. Few more stopovers could have been done before Dinant where the valley views were good. The guidance provided by tour guide was very average.

When there on a Sunday hence everything is close. Nice scenaries. Other than that, nothing interesting about Luxemburg. I would spend more time in Brussels if given another chance.

I was very disappointed that I paid for English speaking tour and got mostly Spanish and a little bit of French. When I mention that he changed for a minute or two. The guide should warn us that the recommended coffee house takes only cash. Practically we're left alone. So, actually for my money I got only transportation which could be cheaper on my own. I didn't learn anything interesting. It's nothing memorable abot this trip I should be careful in the future.

Trip was worth it... but the AC broke on our bus before we even left Brussels. Uncomfortable bus ride to and from Luxmebourg.

The guide lacked energy and cheer and his narration style was quite boring. However we did enjoy the trip. Pick and drop to hotel was done meticulously for all in a very professional manner.

Ths is one trip I would strongly discourage ! :( ...there is nothing much to see in Luxembourg unfortunately and its a total waste of time and money...its better to spend time in other activities within brussels...Tour guide was informative but wasn't loud and not so much fun !

Luxembourg was great but the bus driver was hopeless. To many narrow streets which he went into and then had to find people in houses to shift their cars so he could turn narrow corners. He finally swiped a car on our return journey and reached a dead end at a T junction. We left the bus at 9.30pm and caught the metro back to Brussels. To much time wasted navigating back streets in Brussels. Bad contractor for this trip. Our trip to Bruges and Ghent also short changed. Inclined not to again even though out first experience with them in Italy 2 years ago was excellent.

This day trip gave a good overview of Luxembourg, and travel in the bus was easier than driving and quicker than the train. We got to see the sights of Brussels on the way out and back, which we wouldn't have seen if we hadn't done the tour. We enjoyed the tour and arrived back in the evening totally relaxed.

A good tour and a great way to see Namur, Dinant and then onto Luxembourg. Our guide was jovial and entertaining. The only negative, was that the guide could have given better indication to when-where-times the bus was going to be located and leaving. All in all a good tour and a great walk through the old city of Luxembourg. Cheers.

I am sure that if you are in Brussels you must go on this day trip. But don't go on a Sunday because in Luxembourg everything closed and the city looks abandoned. The Viator tourist office was very well organized and we were very pleased. You must go.
