Buenos Aires City Sightseeing Tour

Buenos Aires, Argentina

Discover the magic of Buenos Aires on a comprehensive introductory tour of Argentina's capital city. Perfect for first-time visitors, this morning or afternoon three-hour city tour is a well-rounded introduction to Buenos Aires' famous sights while also leaving you with time in the day free to explore the city on your own.

The three-hour bus tour includes the beautiful parks and gardens of the Recoleta and Palermo neighborhoods, the Colon Theater (one of the world's five most important opera theaters), Mayo Square, the cathedral, traditional Mayo Avenue, Congress Square and many other buildings and palaces of architectural, historical and cultural interest.

Your Buenos Aires city sightseeing tour continues with a visit to San Telmo, residence of the aristocracy until the end of the 19th century. Then, you will have the opportunity to explore Caminito Street in La Boca, a colorful neighborhood of Italian immigrants. You'll visit the recently revitalized area of Puerto Madero and on Sundays the tour includes a stop at the vibrant San Telmo Fair.

An excellent bus with big windows with an excellent guide gave information and answered questions, taking us to all the highlights, and letting us inside buildings or places to get the feel of this unique city in a minimum time. Thankyou!

We were suposed to be picked up at 1400. Bus arrived at 1500. There were 3 different nationalities on board the bus and my wife an I were the only English speaking couple. The tour guide seemed to forget about us and described very little of the sights in English. When she did say something in English it was after we had passed the point of interest. Tour was to be 4 hours. Ours lasted about 3 hours and an hour of that time was spent at two tourtist traps. Not a good experience and I would not recommend this tour to my worst enemy.

Waited 1 1/4 hour to be picked. We were only picked up because our hotel helped us to find out where the bus was. We were simple forgotten by allthough the pick-up time had been assured the night before

Was as described but felt certain areas were passed by on the fringe - such as St Telmo. Biggest annoyance was the phone confirmation requirement - wasted hours trying to get through from Chile to confirm as we were not arriving much before the tour. There is a reason I use Viator on line and the phone thing destroyed the usual advantage.

Very bad tour, old dirty bus, we booked an English_br/_ tour , but was mainly Spanish. We were not picked up at our hotel as promised. We were very disappointed.

The company that this tour is booked through is not the company that takes you on the tour. We had trouble contacting this company to figure out whether they were to pick us up from our hotel. Note pickup is from JW Marriot from the city and not from your hotel - the tour itself was good but would have been good if this company provided more info ahead of time.

As a brief, inexpensive over-view of the city, this bus tour was worth doing. You will not get to visit the Cemetery in Recolleta with this tour and that is something no one visiting Buenos Aires should miss.

The itinerary was very good; the stops allowing us to get off the bus also the right amount of time and made the time on the bus easy to take. The guide was also good. Only complaint -- we were picked up from our hotel very late, with no apologies!

The experience got off to a rough start when the company canceled the tour due to President Cristina Fernandez' inauguration. It was rescheduled for that Monday and everything went well from then on. The tour guide was knowledgable, patient, and multilingual. The keyword to keep in mind here is "introductory tour". Our tour started with a mere drive by a side wall of Recoleta cemetery. There were 15 minutes allowed in the area of Casa Rosada and 30 mins in Caminito. There were a couple of stops for pictures of Evita's monument and Boca Jrs stadium. It's a good tour at the beginning of a first-timers stay - it will help you plan out a more in depth tour of points that interested you. They won't necessarily pick you up from your hotel - our pick up was 7 blocks away at a different hotel. That's not a terrible thing - but something to keep in mind.

A perfectly appropriate overview of the city given in three languages. My rating would have been higher had the tour company provided clearer directions about where I was to meet the tour and the name of the company providing it. When confirming, please make sure they are clear about where EXACTLY (outside the hotel? inside the hotel?) you are to wait for the bus (if you are not being picked up at your hotel), whether or not you should inform anyone at your pickup location that you are waiting for a tour and the name of the company providing you with the tour. Perhaps it will save you wasting 90 minutes waiting for a bus that never arrived, and having to wait a day (because the office is closed on weekends) to rebook the tour. If your time is limited, you might have an unpleasant surprise.

The material listed a 3 hour tour when in fact it was more like a 2 hour tour with 2 hours of hotel pickups and transportation. Pickup was at the hotel; however, I was dropped off 3 blocks from my hotel with poor directions. If wanting to see the sites offered in the package within a 3-4 hour time frame; I would hightly recommend paying for a private tour. You'll see more and be able to enjoy the sites. This tour was a quick drive-by. If you didn't sit on the right side of the bus, you would miss the site. The best part was the photo opp and photo package - workth the 60 pesos/12.00 USD.

An excellent opportunity to see Buenos Aires for the first time. 2 recommendations:_br/_ 1. Although we were picked up at our hotel (as requested), the tour ended far from our hotel, and we were required to hail a taxi for the return trip. This information should have been provided in advance._br/_ 2. The tour included guests who understood only English, only Spanish, and only Portuguese. Therefore the guide had to repeat everything three times.

Great overview of the city if you only have 1-2 days to see it (which is what I did). A lot of the places they took us were a little touristy, as expected, but hit the main spots of BA. La Bocca was cool.

Tour started late. Then spent almost as much time on bus picking up and dropping off customers as the tour itself. The tour was supposed to be bi-lingual, but tour guide spent 80% of her time speaking in Spanish and only 20% in English. Maybe since I was the only English speaking person on the bus, she felt justified to speak so little in Englsh---but if so I wish I was only charged 20%. Buenos Aires has a very interesting history. There are a lot of city tours to choose from. I would choose somewhere else.

The hotel pick up was a bit strange as we were staying outside of the city center. Enjoyed that the tour took us to La Boca, but it skipped the Congressa, Ricoletta Cemetery and we thought we'd get to see more of Palmero and Ricoletta. The guides were nice and spoke English well. The surprise souvenir was fun.

The tour guide was good and did his best but the tour was slightly flawed. I was picked up at 8:45 am and tour did not really start till 10:00 am after we picked up everyone else along the way. Add-in 3 stops for shopping of over 30 minutes each (20 minute official stops can become 40 minute stops), you basically have a very very short tour that takes a lot of time.

Tour guide was fabulous, good English, pleasant personality, great tour of city. However, with the tardiness of 45 minutes we almost did not wait as we thought the tour was cancelled. If pickup is that late, at least send word that you are still coming.

The tour was very well organized. Pickup at hotel was on time. The guide was very knowledgeable and entertaining. She truly seemed to enjoy her job. The tour allowed time for us to stop and get off bus to explore neighborhoods and sites, although it would always be good to have more time, especially in Recoleta Cemetery. The tour represents a great value.

Tour guide was excellent--enthusiastic, informative, and excellent command of English. We went to all the areas of the city I expected the tour to cover. Pickup at the hotel was 20 minutes after we expected it. We returned 20 minutes later than expected as well so we got our three hours of touring in.

This tour will give you a very good introduction to this amazing city, so I recommend that you plan it early during your stay in Buenos Aires. A few stops are planned during the tour at some strategic places, like Recoleta, Plaza Mayo, and La Boca. You have plenty of time to take pictures and even watch some tango dancers at La Boca. Not to be missed !
