Excellent snorkeling outing to GBR. We went to two reefs--the second was much better than the first. Elvis was a super treat--great guitarist, singer and overall entertainer. He also cooked our terrific lunch. We'll the lady staff did the side dishes. All very delicious. The also liberally provided ginger pills to avoid motion sickness. They worked.

All of the staff were friendly an informative. One staff member even gave an impromptu concert on the way back to port. The boat stops in two different reef areas. I suggest getting the lunch as part of your package because it is a good deal for the amount of food you get.

The crew were good, there were over 100 of us so it was a bit packed, but there was plenty of room to move around. the food was average. my only real complain was that of the two reefs we visited on that day, the first i would say was about 95% of the coral was dead an the second about 80% of the coral was dead. so not much colour but still some nice fish to be seen. all in all a good if somewhat disappointing trip

I would give this "down and under" snorkeling cruise a thumbs up!! The crew members are awsome, very helpful and encouraging.They let you participate in introductory dive after giving you free short training. Food is good but wish there is more pineapple.

We were able to walk to the pier check in building, so we checked in around 8am. We boarded the boat, and then were off promptly at 8:30am. Crew were nice, and organized. We had a group of 5, including a younger child. During the ride out, we were given our equipment, along with stinger suits/wet suits - extra $. They versed us as to what we needed to know for snorkeling, and those that were diving were in a different group. Safety for all was on their mind the whole time. The snorkeling obviously was the best, and I don't think it matters where you are on the reef, you'll be thrilled at what you see. My husband, and a few others even saw a shark while snorkeling. I will never forget this wonderful part of our trip.

I did the package with Intro dive and Helicopter ride - was definitely worth it. All the Staff on the cruise were helpful and friendly. Only down side was I was a bit late for lunch, due to timing of dive and there was hardly much left to eat. Other than that, it was worth it!

Very enjoyable and stunning sights. The day is structured with visits to tow reef sights. Reef is a fair distance from harbour 1hr+ and you arrive and snorkel and/or scuba. Training was good and suits provided to avoid sunburn and jellyfish stings. Reef is stunning particularly at the second sight which really impressed. Staff were funny and relaxed. Elvis the entertainer was a great guy and knowledgeable.

High winds made what should have been the high light of our visit to Port Douglas very disappointing. The staff were excellent but I believe could have offered more advice prior to departure of the diffivculties we might face with a 6 year old. It was basically to choppy to put him (or ourselves) onto the water.

All in all it was a good day on the reef. Take your motion sickness meds if you tend to get sick. If you have never snorkeled before, this may not be for you (water was pretty choppy and hard for the slower swimmers). Also, I am not very comfortable in the water but thought I would attempt the intro dive (based on previous reviews saying it was easy/they are good with beginners) but we didn't have enough time for me or my friend to get comfortable with the breathing apparatus (only had about 20 min or so). So we never ended up doing the dive. Disappointing but the snorkeling was fun.

Fantastic day out on the reef. The cruise was well run and the staff were really helpful and friendly. On viator you can only opt for 1 certified dive but once you are on the boat you can opt for up to 3 for a little extra cost. Highly recommend this cruise as it's great value and lots of fun.

I had taken two reef trips during my stay in Cairns. This tour was superior in every way: service, facilities, equipment, and dive site. First of all, the staff was all super friendly, helpful, and encouraging. They helped us feel confident on our first dive and kept us well entertained on the trip back to Cairns. I found this tour's dive sites were far better than Green Island's. We were the only boat at the dive site and you could see the difference. The water was clearer and the coral reef was much less disturbed. The lunch buffet was decent and hits the spot after a morning of diving. The afternoon trip back with a glass of wine and live entertainment from Elvis was a nice way to end the day.

good weather, the ocean is a bit rough over the reef, is not very ideal for snorkeling, luckily we can go with the guide, but diving is really amazing, will be there again.

I went on this trip and had SUCH a fun time. I usually do get sea sick but I took the free prevention Ginger tablets they had about half an hour before and I was just fine. This is a great trip and you should all consider going! Also 16 and under counts as a child price so even though I'm 16 I was like half the adult price.

If you have never snorkled before beware it is a strange feeling, however everyone on the trip was helpful and very enthusiastic. The lunch was excellent so I'm told as I was a bit queasy but the reef was fab. If you suffer from sea sickness then be prepared!

This was the best experience of our whole two week trip to Australia. The sights of reef & fish were amazing! I highly recommend this cruise. The one downer was poor communication with the crew. I thought I was going down for a free trial dive since I wasn't certified. I was disappointed to find out after the fact it cost me over 60. The dive was great, but I wish I had known that I was going to be charged up-front. I would definitely recommend this though.

The crew were awesome - a really personalised experience. Prepare the sea sickness tablets though, too many people throwing up over board. However, the day itself was absolutely remarkable. The reefs were great! The Heli tour was not working on the day though, but other than that it was the only disappointment.
