Pass by scenes of everyday life, along with recreations of famous events such as the discovery of baby Moses floating on the Nile.

A popular attraction at The Pharaonic Village is the replica of King Tutankhamun's tomb as it was when discovered by Howard Carter in 1922. With the original tomb in the Valley of Kings long emptied of its treasures, this is a great chance to see the amazing sight if Egypt's only untouched pharoah's tomb.

You can also learn about the ancient technique of mummification at a demonstration of the process. There is also an Islamic and Christian Museum dedicated to the two main religions of Egypt, as well as a newly opened exhibit detailing the history of Alexandria.

does not look how it advertisers on the pharaonic village website, defo a day trip if you have children but not just adults. very tatty, a lick of paint wouldnt go a miss and the staff are miserable, x

This is a tour best done after visiting the Pyramid and Museum; it puts a face to the history . It also helped that our guide Shereif was so good a explaining the history at the other sites that we really enjoyed this experience.

The guide was extremely helpful and polite to us, answering all our questions concerning our tour as well as adding information about all the places we saw. This tour was interesting when we were circling the island to see how things were done in the times of the pharoahs. Ater the boat ride, the emphasis seemd to be geared to getting more money from the tourists by the village guide- not the guide that picked us up.
