Isla Mujeres Trimaran Cruise

Cancun, Mexico

Sail on a beautiful Trimaran through the Caribbean Sea and travel to the tropical island that sits on the imaginary line between the Gulf of Mexico and the Caribbean Sea. Explore Isla Mujeres and enjoy a relaxing day on this beautiful, quiet island!

Isla Mujeres (Island of Women) is a casual, laid-back refuge from the conspicuously commercialized action of Cancun, visible across a narrow channel. Just 5 miles (8km) long and 2.5 miles (4km) wide, it's known as the best value in the Caribbean!

Request your tropical drink of choice from the bartender and take a seat in the shade or enjoy the unique experience of stretching out at the front of the ship across the open netting, the only thing between you and the beautiful Caribbean Sea!

Relax and enjoy the views as you cruise along, stopping at a coral reef national park along the way for an hour of snorkeling. You'll be guided through crystal clear 30-foot (9 meter) deep waters to admire beautiful coral formations, tropical fish and other fascinating animals. Your guide will sprinkle fish food into the water to completely surround you with schools of beautiful tropical fish. At the conclusion of your underwater journey, your catamaran will meet you at the other side of the reef and take you to the Beach Club.

As you make your way down the dock, don't miss the chance to have your picture taken holding a shark! (subject to availability). Then, take a seat on hammocks and lounge chairs and enjoy a delicious all you can eat buffet lunch.

Then re-board the catamaran and sail to the best shopping zone in Isla Mujeres. Browse a range of interesting shops with everything from classic souvenirs to incredible hand carved limestone and wooden sculptures. Although sometimes hard to find, you'll also find beautiful preserved sea creatures and shark jaws straight from the sea. The rule is, you never know what you'll find on Isla Mujeres!

The Isla Mujeres Trimaran Cruise was awesome !!!! the crew was great, the activities were great. The only thing that wasn't great was the buffet in the island.

It was very good....only thing is that the crew need to give more time to spent in the island beach, than souvenir shops

The hotel pickup did not happen. We had to get there on our own. The reef tax was $7.50 (US) per person. The boat was small and they loaded way too many people on it. We barely had room to sit and no room to move or walk around (even the crew had trouble moving around the boat). The crew tried hard to be helpful and friendly but in the end was pushing hard for tips. Quote, "This is the only money we make". Drinks were limited in choice and weak. Other boats in same area were bigger and had fewer people on them, room enough to dance and move around. They all do the same thing and make the same stops for lunch and shopping. Next time I will go on a different boat even if it cost more.

This was a nice trip, but we felt the owners of the boat really could;nt be bothered,....there were other boats going out and the organisers on theres were much more engaged with there party.

I rated this only 3 stars due to the service from guides very pushy on amount of tips and disrespectful with tourists on the trip. Overall, I feel I should have taken the tour on the bigger boat tours since those got best reviews from other tourists.

Was fun to do. The island itself is ok, but you get a little more feel for the area if you get off of the main road and away from the sales folk. We didn't get to do the air sailing due to winds but we did stop for swimming. A little drinking fun as well. Overall, I would recommend the trip if you are wanting to meet a few folks.

Excellent day trip however we had to pay/take the public bus to the hotel where the trimaran was docked. The day trip was supposed to cover transportation to and from our hotel. Plus, we had to pay $70.00 peso ($6 USD) for tax that we were not informed of. Other than that, it was a great trip and I would definitely recommend it!

We had a good time, but the ad indicated we would have a catamaran with the webbing over the ocean and we had to sit on the deck - I wouldn't recommend this boat.

The crew was very nice, but we were NOT in the water snorkeling for the hour promised. If all the 'tour' boats are going to take people to the same area to snorkel, they certainly should stagger their schedules more, because there were too many people in the water at one time.

The weather was terrible - very windy. It took 21/2 hours to get to the island and we got very wet. We arrived in the south of the island to shop - we spent the time trying to get dry. We were then taken down the coast where we only had time to have dinner before we boarded the boat for the trip home. No snorkeling etc. We then found that we had to make our own way back to the hotel as the hotel pick up was just that - no drop off!

The trip was good from the time we left the dock until we came back, the crew was great. The transfer never arrived at our hotel and we had to take a cab and just made it, we stayed in Playa De Carmen which was over an hour away and cost us 60. There was no help from the person in the office and got disconnected and was never able to get back thru as it just kept ringing or went into voicemail.

It was an okay excursion. Only had 45 minutes of snorkling. The island was like any other island, one shop after another yelling lady lady my turn lady! It just felt like we were sailing and yelling tequila forever. I guess they think that Americans enjoy yelling TEQULA!

Overall excellent tour, drinks were flowing freely as soon as we left the pier. Crew was great but the snorkeling in Cancun isn't all that cool, not many fish of different species.

Not kid friendly, adult atmosphere, hard seats, not for novice swimmer. Otherwise, good food, good snorkeling, and nice crew. Called me at 12:30 am to verify my pick up.

Getting to boat from hotel was fine but they never came to pick us up after we returned to the dock. If we had not had money on us, we would still be sitting there!
