The trip was a little disappointing. Whilst a Cape Pensinsula tour is well worth doing as some of the sights are absolutely spectacular, it did not feel particularly well organised and we felt that we would have enjoyed the experience more if we had hired a car, partly because the bus broke down and we had to wait for almost an hour to continue our journey resulting in the rest of the day feeling rather rushed, but also because the tour was half in German (which we were unaware of at the time of booking), and was read from a script. That didn't detract from it being an excellent day overall, however it felt as though this was in spite of, rather than because of the organisation of the tour.

Really excellent trip seeing seals on a boat trip, the beautiful botanical gardens and penguins. The trip stops for lunch at a good value restaurant with one of the best views we've ever seen. We were lucky enough to see Whales which we wouldn't have seen had it not been for our tour guide spotting them.A really busy trip seeing everything you could wish for in this area. Fabulous

Good trip packed lots in, more a taster of things. Guide good but did go on a bit. Why do we always have to stop for lunch? What is wrong with grabbing a sandwich and drink to go?

The tour was great. However, they forgot about us, so I had to reschedule for the next day. I suggest to Viator not to do business with the operator who was in charge of the Day trip and The Cape Peninsula tour.

You have a real gem in Mr. Ludger Pooth. I am in the travel business as well and I have to tell you that he is one of the best tour guides I have had the pleasure of spending time with. His knowledge of not only South Africa but the World is what really brings it home. He has had wonderfully diverse experiences in Europe, Africa, and the United States which adds so much to his presentation. The way he managed a multi-cultural client base without losing his information flow was brilliant. I will be suggesting VIATOR and Springbok Atlas to all of my clients in Washington D.C. that are heading to South Africa. This was the trip of a lifetime for my wife and I and VIATOR/ Springbok Atlas made it very special. Please make sure that the highest levels of your leadership are aware of the poise and professionalism that this gentlemen has exhibited.

Our family party of 3 adults went on this tour in April 2011. We were in a group of 8 in a small mini coach that was air-conditioned and with seat belts and very comfortable. Our guide "Super" was a local man who was extremely knowledgeable and very interesting. He was very proud of his roots as a descendant of Cape slaves and spoke fluent English and Afrikaans. He also was our driver/guide for the all day wine trip which was equally fascinating and enjoyable. The landscape is truly beautiful and we saw wild seals, penguins, zebras, ostriches, baboons and a few dassies.

This was an excellent excursion. The tour company provided an excellent guide and driver. What was really nice was that the group was small - 5 people- so we had time to be flexible. The scenery is fantastic and the itinerary, which not only included Cape Point but also an ostrich farm, penguins, seals, not to mention pushy baboons, was varied and interesting.

The tour was well organised, and our tour guide supplied us with a lot of useful information about the scenery and the local culture as well as being an excellent driver over sometimes difficult roads. His sense of humour went down well also.We climbed up to Cape Point for an amazing view and really enjoyed the penguins at Simonstown. Finishing off at the wonderful Kirstenbosch gardens highlighted our trip. Would recommend to anyone of reasonable fitness.

This tour is a must-do when in Cape Town. We saw breathtaking vistas of the ocean, the turbulent waters at Cape Point, baboons, penguins, and charming fishing villages. Sometimes our guide was a bit difficult to understand with his accent, but it was a very enjoyable tour. We took the tour in July, 2009, which is winter there, because our highest priority was seeing wildlife. I wore a sweater with a raincoat with a lot of pockets and was perfectly comfortable and dry, and could carry everything I needed in the pockets, so didn't have to worry about anything getting wet.

This was an amzing day trip. The scenery was fabulous and we saw some whales albeit in the distance. The lunch stop at Cape Point was picturesque and you get time to "do" the lighthouse at the Point. We saw wild ostriches, baboons and deer too. A day well spent.

This tour had a very good balance of seeing a lot of stuff, but also allowing time for us to walk around and explore on our own. I don't like tours where you're cooped up on the bus all day, or following the guide as part of a gaggle of tourists. I recommend planning on the add-on's of the seals and penguins. Ending the day at the Botanical Garden was peaceful and a nice conclusion.

This is a very thorough tour. Our driver-tour guide was both knowledgeable and courteous. Our group was small, and at each point of interest we were given just the right amount of time to see everything, apart from the botanical gardens which were a bit rushed at the end. All in all, it was a very enjoyable trip.

This is well worth doing! The tour covered a large area, and we saw a great deal of the beautiful coastline. The penguin colony is a must-see. Our guide was interesting, and the coach used was comfortable. There were lots of stops for photos and short walks.

This was a very nice tour operated in both English and German. There are many tours from Cape Town to the Cape Peninsula. I booked this tour specifically because it included the botanical gardens, penguin colony, and the opportunity for a trip to the seal island at your own cost. This is an easy way to get outside of Cape Town and see those things. Additionally, the coastal scenery is absolutely stunning. Both the guide and the driver were very nice and quite competent. Unfortunately, there were two people who were obnoxious and complained loudly about the stop at the Botanical Gardens. When we reached Cape Point, our guide was very specific in both English and German as to the departure time, but these two and their friends then made our entire party late for lunch because they took an extra 35 minutes at Cape Point. But, you can't pick your customers!

This was a close to perfect day tour. The guide was thoroughly pleasant and informative and the tour packed a great deal into the day. Hout Bay with an optional trip to see the seals Cape of Good Hope with a stop at the Lighthouse Boulder Beach for the penguins the Botanical Gardens, and hours of beautiful vistas. I highly recommend this tour which was quite reasonably priced for all you saw and did.

I enjoyed this trip so much. The guide was the same from Table Mountain and Cape Town Half-Day Trip, but the group was bigger. We had a small time for lunch not included in Simon's Town and the guide had booked a restaurant a bit expensive in my opinion, but I decided to have lunch in another place.

Good program covering a lot of interesting places. It would have been better to have more time at Cape Point so that we could have a longer walk and enjoy the place a bit more. 1 hour there is not long enough!
