Choose from two routes, the Red Route or Blue Route, or buy a multi-day ticket to use on both routes.

The Red Route City Tour has 17 stops, including the V&A waterfront, Two Oceans Aquarium, Table Mountain Cableway, SA Museums, District Six Museum, St Georges Cathedral and Camps Bay Beach. The Blue Route Peninsula Tour has 13 stops, including Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens, World of Birds, Hout Bay, Sea Point and Groot Constantia. The Blue Route includes a free wine tour in the oldest wine-making region in South Africa.

In addition, if you purchase the two-day ticket, you'll get a free night tour that includes Cape Town's famous sunset over the Atlantic Ocean.

You can hop on and off as many times as you like, allowing you to set your own pace and see the attractions you want. Each route takes approximately two hours. Buses depart from each stop every 15 or 20 minutes (depending on season) on the Red Route and every 35 or 45 minutes on the Blue Route.

Excellent Tour - would recommend to anyone. The only trouble was our voucher from Viator did not work on their computers but we were lucky enough that the ticket office honoured the voucher. I trust this does not happen to evryone.

We thoroughly enjoyed our tour on the "blue bus". The tickets were prebooked and were very easily exchanged, with courtesy and no fuss.The rout had a good diversity of places and scenery, with a great variety of stops. We had a great day with very good commentary along the way. You should make up your mind about what you want to see, prior to going as it takes 2h30m to go around.p_

We are Cape Townians and still enjoyed the trip; We bought the picnic baskets at Kirstenbosch. Great idea. We also swam at Campsbay, which was cold as it usually is. Skipped on the High Tea at the Mount Nelson. No parking hassles. We have already recommended it to friends (South Africans). All in all it made for a great day, even the kids enjoyed it.

Covers all the main areas and, in a town seemingly devoid of public transport, makes getting around easy. The red tour is best for city sightseeing the blue tour is very pretty.

For the transportation alone it was well worth it! I enjoyed being a tourist on the bus in my own country, the sights visited are relevant and worth visiting! The conductors on the bus were friendly. Well done Cape Town, 2010 here we come!

Don't miss this tour! You can sit inside the tour bus or up on top, which we were able to tolerate even in winter. You will be supplied with headphones to hear the tour guide's commentary. The stops provided nice variety for all interests, and you will gain a good overview of the Cape Town area.

This a great way to familiarise yourself with the city and its surroundings. We found there were plenty of buses coming along all the time so you didn't need to wait long.

Quick intro and overview of the city. Do it once and complete it, then do it again on other days and hop on and off to explore. Excellent mode of transport. Must do tour! Nice pace, with opportunity for photos along the way. Enjoy the view from the top deck!

Very good for seeing all the sights around Cape Town. Go for the 24 hr ticket for the blue and red route; this way you can hop on and off both buses on the same day. My only gripe is the price set by the company in Cape Town; compared with the local transport available, it is pricy. Overall, I would use hop on hop of service again, as it's easy to use and stops off at the tourist sites.

This was an enjoyable tour, but I wished that I had been a little better prepared. Had I realized that this bus went to the beach, I would have planned my day a little better and allowed time for a few hours in Houts Bay. Very nice ride up to Cable Mtn. and around the back coastal area. Very beautiful city.

This is one of the best ways to explore the city, covering many attractions. You can definitely get a good taste of the City and it is well worth it to take this tour.
