Table Mountain and Cape Town Half-Day Trip

Cape Town, South Africa

See superb views of Cape Town spread out before you from on top of Table Mountain, then take a close-up tour of the city. From mountain-top views to on-the-ground sightseeing, you'll get a great overview of the beautiful South African city of Cape Town on this half-day tour.

Your day starts with a trip by cable car to the peak of Table Mountain for phenomenal views over Cape Town (cost not included in tour price).

Upon your descent you will visit the Malay Quarter, the Cape Town city center, the Company Gardens and Castle of Good Hope (time permitting). You'll also travel to Milnerton Lighthouse for a great photo opportunity of Table Mountain from across Table Bay (if time permits on the afternoon tour).

Finally, you'll have a brief stop at the Diamond Works, Cape Town's finest jewelry experience, to learn about one of South Africa's most famous exports. You'll then have the choice of being returned to your hotel or dropped at the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront, where the tour ends.

The tour guide (named "Super") was outstanding. He was very informative on the entire history of Cape Town and did his best to get us to Table Mountain after the fog lifted. Outstanding.

Very good introduction to Cape Town. Good guide. Spectacular views from Table Mountain. Unexpectedly interesting visit to the diamond polishing business.

The tour was great, the only problem was the weather on that day. We did not get to see the view from table mountain because of the low clouds that day. The mountain was coverded with clouds.

I regret that the cable car activity was not included although we were promised to have been included as part of the activities of the tour.

Great trip & very informative guide in Cape Town. No where near enough time at top of Table Mountain. Only given 45mins when in fact 2-3 hrs would be better, certainly for me.

A good trip, with only 3 people, but a small time in the stops. Unfortunately, Table Mountain was closed the day of my trip, due to the wind. At the end of the trip, the guide took us to a Diamond Shop and that was the place with the most time, about 35 minutes. There was a exposition about diamonds and time for shop, but neither the German couple or me were interested in shopping.

Table Mountain is not always available to go to the top, as we found out, because it is often covered in clouds or too windy to go up by the cable car.

It was sad that the cable did not work and we could not go to Table Mountain. Anyway, the guide was nice!

This was very good. A splendid way to explore the city. The guide was very friendly & very informative. She did a splendid job. Because of the windy conditions we could not go up to the Table Mountain by cable cars and went only half way, but the rest of the tour was good.

This was a superb trip. The mountain was initially closed, but the guide kept in phone contact and took us straight to the cable car as soon as it opened. It really was a breathtaking experience! The guide was very knowledgeable about his city and was keen and enthusiastic to share it with us.

A shame it was cloudy as this meant we couldn't go in the cable car.

The trip to table mountain was cancelled due to bad weather and a trip to a very mediocre museum substituted. The part of the tour around Cape Town was also quite poor. The only thing that saved the day was the tour guide, he was very comical and lightened the mood very well. We visited Table Mountain independently 2 days later, it was superb.

The agent staff came to pick us up very late. While we were waiting for them, we made a call to the company, but no one knew about our reservation.

The visits to historical sites, Table Mountain, and the general bay area was wonderful. The stop at a diamond store was too long (the demonstration of diamond cutters was not available at that time) and not of interest.
