Sit back in luxury on a 36-seater air-conditioned, colonial style dining tram and be treated to the finest service, cuisine and beverages New Zealand has to offer. See Cathedral Square, Botanical Gardens and the River Avon glide past your windows.

Please note: This tour will not be opeating until late 2012. Due to damage caused by the Christchurch earthquake, the infrastucture is currently being reviewed. A more definite opening date will be made available as further informtion comes to hand.

• Rolleston Dinner Package - includes four-couse meal (starter, entree, main and dessert) with welcome drink, tea and coffee
• Cathedral Dinner Package - includes five-course meal (starter, entre, main, dessert and cheeseboard) with all selected bevereges including quality New Zealand wines, beer, spirits, juice, tea and coffee

Despite the earthquake 10 days earlier (September), the Tramway Restaurant Dinner went ahead with reduced numbers, but was absolutely fantastic. The service and food was outstanding and if you come to Christchurch, you have got to take time one evening to enjoy this marvellous experience.

Food and atmosphere was excelent. You do get bored of the scenery after a while as the track is only about 3km long and you go round about 5 times.

Would highly recomend this to anyone visiting Christchurch as the meal was supurb and the excellent service from the staff... The views around the center of Christchuch was the perfect scene for a wonderful meal.

Bit of a disappointment. Tram went around and around the same blocks with only minutes of commentary. Food average and wine offerred on our full-wine meal tour was below average, although plentiful.

My friend and I enjoyed this unique experience very much. The only backlash was that the tram made a lot of stops at the traffic lights & unidentified reasons. Since I was hoping for a smoother ride, I'll give it a 3-star. Nonetheless, the crew were very friendly, loved the retro ambience.

The food was fantastic, especially the fillet steak. It was cooked to perfection and was so tender it fell apart in my mouth. The only course that didn't have me wanting more was the entree, it wasn't quite to my taste or my partners. Apart from that the meal was excellent. The courses were well spaced and the staff were very polite and attentive. Myself and my partner will definitely be going back again some time.
