Copenhagen City and Harbor Tour

Copenhagen, Denmark

Enjoy the best of Copenhagen by coach and boat on this tour of the city and harbor. Some of the city sights are best enjoyed from the sea, so take this opportunity to admire many wonderful towers and famous palaces. There are great photo opportunities including stops at the Royal Palace and The Little Mermaid.

Your tour starts by coach, first passing the Tivoli Gardens, New Carlsberg Glyptotek (art museum) and the magnificent Gefion Fountain and Kongens Nytorv. At the old Fish Market, a pre-booked canal boat is waiting to take you on a cruise through the bustling harbor of Copenhagen.

As you glide through the bustling harbor, pass many of the wonderful towers and famous palaces in Copenhagen - not forgetting of course The Little Mermaid. Continue through the picturesque canals of Christianshavn and Frederiksholm, where historical buildings are to be enjoyed side by side with the newest in architecture. Some sights of the capital are best enjoyed from the sea, so remember your camera or video and you will have a good opportunity for an everlasting memory.

Your tour concludes in the very heart of Copenhagen at Gammel Strand, which is only a few minutes walk from Stroget, the main shopping street in the city.

Good trip though few hiccups that bus didnt arrive at desinated place, guide turned up and helped to move at different location, but harbor tour was detached with voucher given, had to walk of my own to catch Ferry at new place! City tour had audio guide with english and other options (operator need to look for personalised guide option!). Harbour tour had personalised guide so was good!

Not worth it, seeing as I had done a hop-on-hop-off tour already and my Copenhagen card would have paid for the canal tour. There were only five of us on the bus, which just turned out to be another hop-on-hop-off tour really.

The bus tour is the same as one of the hop on and hop off routes but the harbor tour was very nice. Great way to see Copenhagen

It was a great tour but it was hard to find the starting point especially when you are not familiar with the city.

Efficient way of knowing your way around Copenhagen as this one ticks off most of the tourist objects in 2.5 hours. Boat trip was fun as live commentary was given. Worth every dollar spent.

We were disappointed with the city of Copenhagen. It's not a pretty city like Oslo and Stockholm. It left us wondering whether it was because of the sights we were shown.

This tour was very nice. It allowed my husband and I to get a good overview of the city. This way we were able to return to the areas that interested us. The tour guides were very nice and informative. The boat tour was lovely giving you great views of the canals and beautiful shopping areas. I definitely would recommend this tour.

July is busy so bus and boat totally full - not great for us . We got to the pick up spot and had trouble finding the guy in charge , he put us on a med. size bus (we got good seats) , then he decided they had too many people so the late-comers got onto a bigger bus first and then we moved over to find a back seat. The tour and walk were so full we split into 2 groups , one guide better than other-- then no info after boat ride , just get off and go.

The bus and boat trip of Copenhagen was good. The bus was new and the driver and guide were prompt and knowledgeable. The boat was fun and safe.

this tour was NOT good. Many headset on the bus didn't work, requuiring a switch of seats. The "English" version was done by someone whose first language is not English and who was very hard to understand. Our busdriver was not pleasant, barking at each stop how the bus would leave without us if we weren't on board on time. This was especially funny when he parked 10 minutes away from an attraction for a twenty-minute photo-op stop; 10 minutes there, and 10 min. back = 0 min. photo op. The Harbor Tour consisted of being dropped off at the public harbor tour dock. There were many people waiting ahead of us. We waited and waited, the boat never came and we had to return to our ship. This tour was a waste of time and money.

I think there are better city tours. This one was on a hop-on-hop off bus with poor audio. The canal boat wasn't as nice as most that we saw. It was a bit difficult to find the stop to get on. It was located next the the city hall.

I've bought tours on Viator.com several times and was pretty much satisfied. Unfortunately, this one was an exception. First of all, the site offered different time options and allowed me to book 9:30 am, however there is no such tour time!! This particular tour starts at 11:30 am. We spent 45 min waiting for the bus and I had to call the operator (who was useless, I wasted money on roaming!) Finally, another tour bus came and we were able to get some info that we need to come back at 11:30. _br/_ The guide on the bus is poor, comments are going with delay. The bus is old and dirty. _br/_ The only nice thing was a canal tour on the boat. The guide was excellent. For the city tour go to hop on and hop off one (less money and better bus).

The Copenhagen City Tour on the bus was a big waste of time. The automated audio system on the bus was totally useless so you had no idea what you were seeing and they didn't seem interested in fixing it. On the other hand the Harbor Tour was very nice. The guide spoke very good English and you could hear her.

The harbor tour was outstanding. City tour was a real disappointment. First, the ticket taker was less than friendly. The headsets they gave us did not work on one side and the narration was fuzzy to the point that people just took them off. There were no decent photo ops on the city tour. I would suggest that you have the bus companies number their seats as there were problems on this tour with people changing seats.

It was nice but you gave us the wrong time so we there 2 hrs. early, 9:30 a.m. and it was almost noon before we were off. We wasted the morning waiting for the tour. So we also had the Copenhagen card and there was very little time in the day left to use it.

Gret intro to this city. Bus tour is on open topped bus which is also hop on hop off so people join throughout the journey. As there are several photo stops where you get off, be aware that non British/American/Canadians have no problem bagging your seat when you get back on board. Irritating when you have to get new headphones for the audio guide._br/_ Boat tour fantastic and very informative. Would reccomend this trip as a great introduction to Copenhagen

Earphones on the bus were not very good - kept cutting out and didn't match up with what we were viewing. The guide on the canal cruise spoke so softly, it was hard to hear her. Other than that, it was a good way to see the sights and then decide if we wanted to come back and spend more time.

City tour was bad, radiophones weren't working through the entire tour, so you do not know where you going or do not getting any info about history and buildings, driver did not speak English, Spanish or Russian, only Dutch. Harbor tour I recommend to take separately from City tour, it was big mess in the boat. The local Harbor Tour better taken only on a sunny day, we had rain that day and it was bad.

Our driver didn't speak English, so when the audio tour wasn't working on the bus and several people were complaining, he really didn't know what we were saying until we acted it out. Because he was "just the driver" and not actually in charge of the tour, there was nothing he could do, at least that's what he attempted to tell us. Since the audio wasn't working, we ha no idea what we were seeing more than half the time. In addition, there was no warning given anywhere until we got to the bus that The Little Mermaid statue wasn't there because it was in China until December. If we had known this, we wouldn't have spent the money to go on the tour. It was raining, so the canal portion of the tour was not worth it at all. We were under a glass cover, but it wasn't very clear, and it was so crowded that anything on the opposite side of the boat were completely not visible. I couldn't take any pictures due to the poor visibility, so this wasn't worth it either. I know that weather is out of the control of the company, but there was no option to get our money back and not do the canal portion, and the broken audio on the bus was extremely frustrating.

At the end of the bus part of the tour we were dropped off by the canal boat tours and given no instruction as to what to do. The canal tour ended quite a distance from where the original tour began, and it was somewhat confusing to find my way back with no help. Good tour - worth doing - not great as far as convenience.

We enjoyed the harbor tour a bit better than the bus part. The bus tour was just a hop on hop off type instead of a personal guide as in other tours we have done in other cities. But it is still a good way to see the city in a short time.

I had only one day in Copenhagen, so this trip was an excellent way to get a feel for the city. The bus tour component was good, with a short stop at the palace and the mermaid statue a nice way to break up the bus ride. The audio guide was quite good. I had previously read reviews that the earphones provided on the bus were not so good, so I used my own ipod headphones. This made the sound track sound fine. The bus driver didn't provide any additional service or commentary, but nevertheless was pleasant. The highlight for me was the boat tour. In contrast to the audio guide on the bus, the boat tour had a fantastic personal guide to talk about all of the sights. The length of the tour was very good and the boat dropped us off right in Gamla Stan so we were able to spend the rest of the day and evening wandering through the streets of the old town. If I didn't have enough time to do the complete tour, the boat ride alone would make this trip worth it.

The tour is very worthwhile and an excellent value for money. You will see the major historical sites within the city and have a detailed explanation, with various language options available using an audio system that makes the tour very interesting.

It was good to use both bus and boat to be able to see the sights from different perspective. We had awful weather though, so could not see much on the boat as it was so steamed up. One bad point was when we were dropped off the boat, we had to make our own way back to where we started and had no idea where we were. This should have been explained to us and our location shown on the map given to us.
