Copenhagen Grand Tour

Copenhagen, Denmark

Join the Grand Tour of Copenhagen and view all the major sights of the Danish Capital by motor coach. You will pass by the Tivoli Gardens and the Ny Carlsberg Glyptotek. Drive through the colorful canal district where your local guide will point out the major sites including the National Museum to Christiansborg Palace, home to the Danish Parliament.

Continue on to the old Stock Exchange and across Kongens Nytorv, where you will be able to see the Royal Theater, world-famous for its Royal Ballet. This is followed by a drive past the vibrant harbor district of Nyhavn to Amalienborg Palace, winter residence of the Royal Family. Here you will have the opportunity to see the Changing of the Guard.

Next you will visit the Gefion Fountain and the Little Mermaid, inspired by Hans Christian Andersen's fairytale. Last but not least, pay a visit to one of the many magnificent churches in Copenhagen and pass Rosenborg Castle, where the crown jewels are protected by the Royal Guard.

Our tour guide was Mariella and our bus driver was James. We had a fairly large group and although I was travelling alone, I really enjoyed this tour. Mariella was terrific! The weather started off poorly but that didn't dampen our spirits. She was very knowledgeable and had a great way of explaining details in an interesting way. I've taken a few different tours, and Mariella was the best tour guide I've experienced. Copenhagen is a beautiful city with lots of history!

We were only on a 36 hour trip from the UK and felt this tour took in everything we needed to see in Copenhagen in a short space of time. Our guide was informative and the coach was an excellent standard. Well worth the money especially if your on a weekend break and don't have time to take in everything at your own pace.

We fell in love with Copenhagen. A great insight into the city, and we never felt rushed at our stops. Seeing the Royal Palace and the Cathederal was a highlight.

I arrived just about time in front of the mentioned location and there were some constructions in the streets so we asked the hotel and they advised to go to a different street, I went there but apparently they were incorrect and I should have waited in the original location. Anyhow, by the time I got back I have already missed the tour but the gentlemen there were nice enough to offer me a city bus and canal tour for two days and for two people. I have missed the guided tour but the alternative trip was magnificent and I was able to somewhat see most of the places to go in Copenhagen.

Not really fantastic, tour guide wasn't really knowledgable in the history of the city and we didn't really get off the bus to see anything of significance apart from the outside of buildings.

Tour left 25 minutes late and without a tour guide. A man with the tour company offered to fill in but stated he was not a tour guide but would do his best. Refunds were offered but when one plans a day by day itinerary, switches are not always possible.

A well guided tour by an exceptional guide._br/_ Even thru the rain, you could enjoy the sights and history. Especially good if your time is limited as mine was.

We enjoyed the tour of Copenhagen and our guide was very knowledgeable of each site that we visited. The only down side was the tour was over subscribed and we had to wait for the second bus (approx 15 - 20 minutes). However, that turned into a blessing as there were only 16 of us on the bus and the tour was almost like a private tour. We easily got around, ease of access to the guide for questions and the guide had time to deal with the many questions we had. We had a wonderful time. We would recommend the tour to everyone.

This is an enjoyable tour and is good for providing a snap shot of Copenhagen's major sites. However, the route past the little mermaid was closed due to a charity walk. A little disappointing, but not a major problem. However it it would have been better if we had been told prior to tour, rather than at the end of it (and only when asked by another traveller when we were going to see this attraction). Driver and guide were very nice and helpful.

clean, modern hotel. Noisy rooms on the street side. Small but adequate rooms if you are not oversized. Long wait for desk services (30 minutes). Key cards had to be reissued to 2 of us during a 3 night stay. Very comfortable beds, close to everything!

It was very convenient to book tour online and not worry about money or schedule later. Tour was well organized and covered the most important points of interest for the first time visitors, and booking online was actually cheaper then buying ticket in Copenhagen.

The tour visited the sites listed however the tour guide failed to note the Mermaid is currently in China for a world expo and a substitution was not offered. The only reason I know the Mermaid was not visited was because I asked.

We loved this! 2.5 hour coach tour and it's just right to not impose on your entire day but give you a real overview of Copenhagen. The changing of the guard was something that we particularly enjoyed and would not have even known about if it weren't for this tour.

Our tour guide, a lady in red we say because her outfit was entirely red, was very knowledgeable. She knew where to stop at the right time. We could see the change of guard without problems. Although we were in winter, which is not the best time to travel there, we think we got a good deal.

Tour was an excellent way to see the main attractions of Copenhagen at a distance and from this you can cherry pick which one's you would like to see in more detail. I would definitely recommend watching the changing of the guard even if you don't take the tour.
