Seville Day Trip from the Costa del Sol

Costa del Sol, Spain

Be seduced by the Andalusian charm of Seville on a day excursion from the Costa del Sol. Built on the banks of the Guadalquivir River, lively Seville has a rich Arab legacy and colorful local districts such as Triana and La Macarena. Most famous of all are its UNESCO World Heritage-listed cathedral and Alcazar fort, which you'll explore on this attraction-packed day trip.

You'll enjoy a full panoramic sightseeing tour of Seville, including the Santa Cruz quarter, the Alcazar, Maria Luisa Park, the Avenue of the Palm Trees and the Expo 92 development and parks. You'll also take a guided tour of the cathedral and visit the outside of the famous Giralda Tower.

You have the option to join a group lunch (additional cost), or you may prefer to take advantage of some free time to explore this marvelous city at your leisure before returning to the Costa del Sol.

Seville was interesting, not as grand as I had expected; but the heavy rain storm we had when there didn't help matters ! The local guide around the old quarters was really excellent - shame the Rusadir (coach) guide could not have been as good ! We had another trip with Rusadir - and although the trip itself was enjoyable, the coach guide again was poorly prepared, disorganized and even rude on occasions. If you have to book an excursion in Fuengirola / Torremolinos / Benalmedina etc. choose another company - not Rusadir. They really need to sort themselves out.

The value of the trip depends a lot of the tour guide-Daniel, out tour guide from Malaga to Seville and back was very good, but the local tour guide would need improvement in presenting her town to the English speaking audience. The tour group was very large which did not help.

My second favorite tour after Granada. I did the optional Guadalquivir River tour and it was worth it. Plaza de Espana and the Cathedral in Seville are spectacular. I loved it....I wish this tour would include a panaramic tour of the city.

Excelent!! Interesting!! The Julia tour guide and the local guide were just wonderful and the tour has everything, sightseeing, panoramic viewon the road trip, enough time to catch the boat by ourselves and come back on time to the motorcoah. I really enjoyed this tour.,

It was a long day . But the trip was certainly worth the effort. Our guides had to speak in 4 languages. I am ever so impressed with their expertise. The guides were imformative and no one became lost. The crowds were huge so the guides had to compete with many other groups. All in all, we enjoyed our day.

A very long day but well worth the effort. The local guide was the most passionate lady I have met! The visit to view 1 of Christopher Columbus' 4 burial sites was very impressive. A great day.

We had a good guide on the bus and a good local guide. We did not opt for lunch but were taken to the restaurant and then released. It would be better to have been released earlier - just a suggestion. Otherwise we enjoyed the guide and the tour - much better than on our own with limited time.

Even on a rainy day it was nice, lots to see, the cathedral is worth the trip alone, have the lunch, nice local spot with wine...... Take the boat tour up the river in Seville, 13 euro, 1 hour and a different view Tour guides were great!!

So much history. Lovely city. the city guide had to use 4 languages and would only say 1 or 2 sentences at a time and it made it very confusing to follow her.

Tour was great, too much time is spent picking up and dropping off tourists though, which cuts from the time that could be spent actually enjoying the city.

Very pretty city. The walk through the old part of Seville was interesting. The tour guide we had once we got to Seville was very knowledgable. If you have the option to pay extra for the boat trip take it. Great value for 16 Euro. Lots of wasted time on this tour while you pick up and drop off people. And they dropped us off on the highway and we were told to walk to our hotel. Guide leaves the tour after returning from Seville and the bus driver takes over. Very odd.

A really good trip despite the 05.40 start! It was an excellent opportunity to see the highlights of Seville in 1 day from the Costa del Sol, well worth it as long as you dont have a hangover from the night before!

The tours were great! We thoroughly enjoyed the scenery and arch.We would liked to have a better selection of meal opportunities at an earlier hour. It is difficult for elderly people to begin the dinner hour at 9 or 10pm. And then rise at 5am for the next tour. This would make a more pleasant experience in our opinion.

Great, but extra time at pit stops would be great as most of our coffee break is spent queuing at the loos or counters. Otherwise enjoyed our fleeting visit. Great driver who was both courteous and careful.

Seville was a great day out! We were staying in a touristy beach resort and loved experiencing "authentic Spain" in Seville! We opted to not do the lunch or boat tour and had 4 hours on our own to explore at our leisure. We would definitely recommend this one!

A beautiful city though the tour was too short. Luckily I did not include lunch and was able to take in the bullring and museum tour alone, which was worth it. I was also able to walk around and enjoy the city more.

A lot of wasted time, 2 hours waiting for people who did an optional boat trip that was never mentioned in the main description upon booking. The guide did not give us a good tour of the city.

For a one day tour, you cover quite a bit. First you stop at the Plaza de Espana, where the nineteen twenty nine exhibition was held, which was amazing and beautiful! Then you get a detailed tour of Seville's Cathedral, the third largest in all of Europe. You see Christopher Columbus' tomb, and the magnificent altar. Basically, those are the highlights, and you still get about an hour for shopping and wandering around Seville if you don't pay for the lunch, and then you can take the optional river boat cruise, but I didn't think it was really worth the price. Overall, when in the area, you can't miss Seville!

A ride around Seville with a walk amongst thousands of other tourists to the Cathederal. The guide was extremely difficult to hear and rushed us along with virtually no time for photos. When we did stop to take a picture, our group was long gone!

For as much time as you are there, you really do not see a whole lot. I did not think our tour guide was very good. She knew a lot about the church, but was not very good on anything else. Seville is a pretty city, but it would have been better if we could have seen more.

We were collected at 5:40 a.m. and then had to endure about 14 pickups and a change of driver at Malaga, so we did not really leave until 8:10. There must be a better way to get people to the bus. On arrival at Seville, we were told that a festival would stop us from going into the real centre of the city, and the little tour of a park, some old streets and the cathedral was interesting but not very extensive. The "recommended" boat trip was disappointing. All in all, it was 10 hours on the bus for a little over five hours in Seville. We may return to Seville for a few days as it seemed a good place to visit, but we wouldn't do it this way again.

Four languages are to many for one tour guide. She did a great job, but by the time she got through all the languages we felt like we missed out on a lot.

The tour itself was good. This was supposed to be a 10-hour tour and ended up 15 hours because we were picked up first and dropped off last. An option to meet the bus somewhere else would have been nice, and given us an extra hour of sleep!

The drive with the view of the olive trees was beautiful. I would have liked to have had a longer bus city tour before the walking tour.
