The route takes you to many of Dublin's major attractions including Dvblinia, Old Jameson Distillery, Dublin Castle, Phoenix Park (where you will find Dublin Zoo), and of course the Guinness Storehouse.

If you are a visitor for the first time to Dublin or not this is well worth the time and money. I was there with my two younger children who are 17 and 14. At the best of times they can be difficult ages to please, but this was really great and it gave us time to talk and look around with some excellent commentary from the drivers. Some commentary is pre-recorded which is fine, but if you're lucky to hop on a bus where the driver does his own then you are in for a real treat. Well worth it!

This is a great way to get around and see the city. Only a little over half of the upper deck is outsise so if it is raining there was always room to sit inside. My friend and I first did the complete route to see and listen to all the information that they give during the trip about all the top tourist spots. The only down side was that you have to stay on the bus for some time if you get on at one atop and your next stop is at the end. The whole trip is an hour to and hour and a half. I suggest to sit for the whole trip and then decide on an area the furthest away from your hotel and see all you want. A lot is walkable but if you are unable to walk long distances this would be the best way.

In every city we visit the first item on our agenda is to take the Hop-on Hop-off bus. I believe it is the best way to get your "feel" for the city.

We loved the freedom of being able to hop off wherever we wanted, but we found ourselves waiting for over 30 minutes for the next red bus to come along. It seemed that the green and yellow buses were everywhere...but no red. We understand that pick up times were dependent upon traffic, but on the day we had our tour there was a pick up point that was not being used due to a street fair - but none of the staff alerted us to this fact. Instead we walked a mile out of our way and had to discover it for ourselves. I enjoyed the idea of hop on hop off, but if we were to travel this way again, I would probably not use this particular company.

Great value for the price. We have used Viator Hop-on-Hop-off buses in other countries and its nice to have a route that stops at key points and even nicer when you get some history along the route.

If you are looking for an accurate account of the places indicated on the map then this is not the right hop-on hop-off bus for you. It is pre-recorded tape that is played so depending on traffic and such it may not be accurate.

While waiting for the red bus hop on hop off the blue hop on hop off buss would come by at least three times. If I had not booked tickets I would have gone with blue bus. I know it was off season, but there was a great difference between the two.

Great comprehensive tour, worth doing it for the learning aspect of it, as well as using it to transport yourself from sight to sight instead of taxi. It stops at each stop every ten minutes and covers all the major attractions while providing a great historical narrative during the ride. I recommend taking a full tour once (lasts about 1h 30 min) and then getting off at the points of interest on the second round. You can use the same pass for two days, and I was told that the red bus is better than the competitor's green bus, as it covers an extra part of the city, not covered by the green bus.

The enjoyment factor of these tours really does depend on your live commentary guide. Unfortunately for us, the guide on our particular bus was dull, monotone and uninteresting. It almost seemed like he was annoyed that we might be keeping him from his afternoon nap.

Really enjoyed the tour but time did not permit to do any of the walking tours that were included. Also the male at the information centre was rude to us as he had just had a bad experience with an Australian and he took it out on us because we are Australian. However, the young lady there was extremely friendly and helpful.

This is not a live guided tour. The driver plays a prerecorded commentary. So sometimes you are sitting at a light and where a live guide could provide color commentary, we got silence. But handy for getting around Dublin, although sometimes you could walk faster.

An excellent way to see the city and the only way if like us you only have a day. You have to do this trip to appreciate what a great city Dublin is. Super on-board commentary from a very knowledgeable lady with a great sense of humour. Highlight was probably being dropped right outside the main door to the Guinness Storehouse and being picked up there afterwards - not literally!!!. Would highly recommend this trip to anyone and would certainly do it again.

I'm really glad I took this tour because I got to see a lot of Dublin easily in one day, which is important if you have a very limited amount of time in Dublin. For instance, I was able to tour the Guinness Storehouse and Kilmainham jail in one afternoon which would not have been possible otherwise.

Absolutely WONDERFUL! A great way to get around Dublin without having to find or pay for a taxi or use the public transport. Plus you get a GREAT tour guide!! Make sure you get on the "Live Commentary" Bus and not the "multi-lingual Tour" bus. You only get the tour guide on the live commentary bus! DEFINTELY recommend this to anyone planning a trip to Dublin!

Our bus driver was very nice, and told us exactly how to get to all the sites from where he dropped us off. When it came time for the tour to close, he gave us an option as to where we wanted to get dropped off, and he took us there. They take you to see all the sights, and it comes with an audio guided tour as you pass through the city. Very informative and much better than doing it yourself
