Florence Bike Tour

Florence, Italy

Take a small group bike tour (maximum 15 people) through Florence. Ride around the city and be inspired by the Renaissance on a comfortable bike. You'll cycle in the city of Florence and ducking and weaving between narrow streets along the way too. See all of the major city sites including the Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Piazza della Signoria and Piazza della Repubblica.

See Florence like an Italian on a tour by bicycle! Whether it's your first or fifth time in Florence, this bike tour is the perfect way to travel from sight to sight at a leisurely pace. Getting around by bicycle is the ideal orientation if you're new to Florence, and return visitors will discover new facts and hear new stories about the city they love. Either way, you are sure to agree that riding a bike is the best way to Florence. You'll see all the famous Florence monuments but also lesser visited sites including:

  • Santa Maria Novella
  • Palazzo Pitti
  • Uffizi Gallery
  • Piazza della Signoria
  • The Duomo
  • Ponto Vecchio
  • Piazza della Repubblic

Stop in the Oltrano district and choose between a complimentary gelato (delicious in Summer) or hot chocolate (warm end to your tour in Winter). Relax and savor your treat& it's the ideal reward after all that pedaling! Don't forget to bring your camera - there's time to stop at several vantage points to capture the sites and delights.

Tour guide was informative but did not speak loudly--difficult to hear her. Bikes were great and we hit all the sights! Would recommend

AWESOME!!! We were worried that the tour might get cancelled because my husband and I were the only people signed up for the tour but they still proceeded. Our tour guide, Mario was wonderful. Very informative and interesting. He took us around and stopped here and there to point our different points of interest. It was just myself, my husband, and Mario - and we didn't skimp on anything just because of the small crowd. The best part was getting to see the first work of Michelangelo - a wooden crucifix. Then he took us to a gelato place off the beaten path that makes all natural flavors. Green apple was out of this world! And, the gelato was included in the tour price. Great tour if you are new to Florence. I would say you need to be comfortable on a bike because you are biking most of the time on the street in traffic. WE LOVED IT!!

Very good tour. Moving on a bike in such crowded city is a good way to know Florence in dept. The guide has a very good knowledge of history. The trip includes a refres.

Biking through Florence with little knowlegde of the city was a bit of a challenge, as was the traffic "free-for-all", but you get the hang of it. Although it rained on us, our guide ingeniously found awning and shop doors to use. Good brief overview of the city.

Excelete guide that was very knowledgable. The bike tour was a fun and interesting way to see the city. Would have liked to spend a little extra time at each location just for a photo opportunity but overall I would highly recommend this trip to anyone up for getting out on the street on a bike.

Informative tour guide. I would have preferred a bike tour that was scaled down to a maximum capacity of 6-8, not the approx. 20 on this tour.

Marco, our guide, was excellent and well-informed about Art History. We really enjoyed the bike tour, but would have liked more general information about Florence, and perhaps shorter stops to include more other places of interest. The free homemade ice-cream was also a nice surprise.

We began our Florence Bike Tour early in our 9-day trip as we hoped to get orientated with the layout of Florence. This tour achieved that goal, and we got a good sense of where the major sites were, and where our apartment was in relation to these sites. Our guide Michele was knowledgeable and friendly, and gave us a good introduction to Florence. Although the tour was well organized, we would suggest that the group left earlier in the morning for future rides during the peak season. By the time our group was on it's way, heavy tourist traffic had arrived, and moving through certain sites and markets was difficult. Otherwise, a worthwhile trip. We would recommend it.

Another really good tour especially for kids/teenagers. Great overview of Florence. The cobblestones of Florence definitely jostle you a little. Wish I could remember our tour guide because she was informative, funny, and a great hostess

The young lady who was our guide, Vanessa, was absolutely wonderful! Her speaking voice, fluency in the English language and knowledge of the history of the locations on the tour were exceptional. In addition, she was able to answer all of our questions during the tour without hesitation. After this tour, my husband and I were able to navigate the city with direction and feel much more confident in doing so!

A very good tour, but I would suggest that in the heat of summer the tour started earlier so it was cooler and the traffic was not so heavy

A fun couple of hours in lovely Florence on old fashioned bikes with baskets. The cycling wasn't hard and we were taken to the best gelati shop in Italy :) only downer for us was that this was supposed to be our intro to Florence on our first day and we turned up to find that the tour had been cancelled that day. Fortunately we were fitted in the next day though.

I enjoy the bike tours so this was perfect. The roads were a little busy with pedestrians. I'm not sure if it was because of the day (it was Good Friday) or the time, we left at 10am. I thoroughly enjoyed it though and the gelato break was perfect

This was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. It is no substitue for an in-deth tour, but it was great fun and very informative. We had the chance to cover a lot of territory in much less time than if we were walking. The guide spoke good english and seemed quite knowledgeable. My 13 and 14 year old granddughters and their septigenarien gradfather were equally pleased. I recommend this tour without qualification

Don't miss this 2-hour bike tour!! I booked this tour on my first day in Florence!! It was the perfect way to see Florence in all its glory and beauty. Our tour guide, Anika was Fabulous!! She is the sweetest most kindest person I'd ever met and boy does she know her Florence-history! This tour was a great introduction to the city plus I knew by seeing the city on bike first, we'd know our way around the city easily. And we sure did!! The 2 hours flew by and I wished It could have gone on longer. In one word this bike tour was FUN!!! Whatever you do---don't miss this fun experience. I promise you, YOU WILL LOVE IT!!
