MORNING TOUR:
Drive along the romantic Viale dei Colli to Piazzale Michelangelo and stop to admire panoramic views of the city. Proceed by car through the city center, followed by an outdoor guided tour of the Duomo complex: Giotto's bell tower, the Baptistery with its bronze doors including Porta del Paradiso and the interior of the Cathedral (*) with its magnificent Cupola del Brunelleschi. A short walk through the streets of Florence brings you to the Galleria dell Accademia (**) where you can admire David by Michelangelo and other works by the artist. End your tour inside the museum. You have the option to include a light lunch at a restaurant in the town center.

AFTERNOON TOUR:
See the unparalleled beauty of Florence, taking in Fiesole, a delightful town set on the overlooking hills in the Arno Valley. Continue to the old city center to visit the Franciscan Church of Santa Croce (exterior). A short walk through historic Florence brings you to the Piazza Signoria, where you can admire the Palazzo Vecchio (exterior) and Loggia dei Lanzi. Continue with a guided tour of the Galleria degli Uffizi (***) and admire paintings by Botticelli, Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Raphael and Giotto. End the tour inside the museum.

FULL DAY TOUR:
A combination of Morning Tour with Light Lunch +  Afternoon Tour.

(**) Closed Monday. Replaced with a visit to the Bargello Museum or Medici Chapels.

Our guide Alessandra was enthusiastic and knowledgeable. We were able to get into the principal museums quickly. The car was a Mercedes van in good condition, with a flexible and helpful driver. _br/_ Negatives were the lunch, which was very low quality considering how much our full day tour cost; and the limited length of time the vehicle was available, again considering how much the tour cost.

The decision to book this tour was probably the best decision taken during our Florence trip. Having your own guide gives you the attention and level of detail and knowledge that you want. When you have possible the best guide ever, Ms. Anna Ristori, you cannot go wrong. She proved to be a wealth of information and knowledge about EVERYTYHING: history, art, culture, and even shopping and the best places to eat. Despite the fact that she literally poured out information, she was also extremely generous with all of our questions and we had lots of them Florence is quite a crowded city with tourists vying for the best spot to appreciate a work of art; Ms. Ristori took great pains to ensure that we had the best spot from which we could appreciate what we were looking at and also to be comfortable and hear her explanations clearly over the noise ofthe crowds. Most importantly, she is a kind and considerate person - my mother is quite elderly and cannot walk easily nor stand for long periods. Ms. Ristori made sure that my mother was always comfortable, found places for her to sit when we had been standing for a while. At the Uffizi Gallery, she made sure that my mother had access to the elevator and talked to the people in charge to make sure they were available to help, if need be. Cannot thank her enough!! She is the best. I do not know if you can ask for her by name. Also special thanks to our driver who assisted my mother getting in and off the car, and who himself was extremely kind and knowledgable. Thanks to both!

This tour proved to be a disappointment. Viator has always delivered, yet this fell short of our expectations. We were clear about the sites that we wanted to see up front i.e. he David and yet were booked in the wrong museum. We had to pay the additional fee to go to the David on our own. The driver for this tour was awesome! He was knowledgable and kind. He made the day!

This trip was fantastic ! our guide Alex was brillant and fed our brains with all the highlights. Having an actual florentine take us thru the city provided an excellent cultural backdrop and having "fast pass" entrance to all museums was really nice too ! I recommend a cutom tour like this to anyone who has a short time to spend .... or not. bravo ! Viatour knocks one out of the park again. that's why I am a repeat customer !_br/_ *****

We had the best tour guide in Alessandra who made Firenze Florence come alive for our group of 6. I would strongly recommend a private tour with Alessandra as the guide. She was able to educate us on the art of the renaissance in an easy to understand yet brief manner. Her tour of the city began with an overview from the overlook at piazzale Michelangelo followed by the serene San Miniato and the Accademia, Uffizi, etc. Our entire group enjoyed her detailed explanation of the painers and evolution of their styles. Our guide was wonderful. He tailored his information and presentation to things that we were interested in and made it a point to share stories that would interest my 13 year old so that she wouldn't be bored. Our driver was also great and he added fun to the trip.
