Our tour guides were fabulous. They pulled your interest in from the first word. They enlightened us with the information by telling stories of the time period with their own spin. We loved it and highly recommend this way of seeing these historic museums.

When you see the queues outside these two famous galleries - you'll realise what a great idea it was to book these two amazing galleries in advance! Wonderful guide, who explained the major works excellently. All in all this trip really took all the stress out of a visit to the galleries and hours and hours of queueing was avoided, hence we could use that time to enjoy the city doing and seeing the things we really wanted to.

We truly enjoyed this tour. I think splitting up the Accademia and Uffizi into 2 time slots with a long lunch in between was a great idea! At the Accademia, I really liked how the guide walked us through Michelangelo’s other works prior to the David and then we had the lots of time with the David to see it from all angels and hear the full background on it. The Uffizi was also amazing. The line to get into the Uffizi was longer than we expected and therefore the tour ran long. That’s the only thing that I would change is making sure that the tour ends on time.

Great tour, worth it just to skip the lines. Lots of information about certain artists. Maybe a little less would be good so that you get to see more.

Everything went smoothly. Loved the guide at the Accademia and all the interesting commentary he gave about Michelangelo and background of his work. Different guide at Uffizi, also very delightful and interesting. Really made the experience more enjoyable to get this added information about history of art as it developed.

Lines were not long in late March, and the tour guide CAF was awful - poor English, and given that I am an Art History major, her understanding of the art she was discussing was inaccurate and missed so much that should have been discussed. Starting the Uffizi only 2 hours before they closed was NOT enough time to see everything, thus a waste of precious money as well.

A very knowledgeable guide for our morning at the Accademia and afternoon at the Uffizi. The only problem was so little time to explore the remainder of the Uffizi after the tour was over. Felt rushed having to leave before closing. Still so much better than the ridiculous lines!

Wonderful tour, our tour guide was fantastic and very knowledgeable. It was very busy because of spring break and Italian students. She didn't miss a beat. Well worth it.

The Florence Accademia and Uffizi Gallery Tour was well worth the money. I liked being able to skip the long lines. The tour was well organized and having a guide who was very knowledgeable about the history was appreciated. For each tour we received a head set that allowed us to listen to our tour guide, as there were many tours going on at the same time and in different languages. I highly recommend the Accademia and Uffizi Gallery tour with Aviator. I was not quite sure what to expect when I booked, but was very impressed overall and felt the price point was reasonable.

Both tours were excellent. Well organized and smooth entry. Both tour guides were great at each gallery. Professor like presentations. The guide was passionate and very insightful. Provided lots of depth in analysis. Try to request for him if possible. Thank you immensely! I was impressed. All the reviews here seem to be satisfied and I agree.

This tour was excellent - both tour guides were not only exceptionally knowledgeable on their subject but extremely passionate in its delivery. Unless you are an art historian, you will definitely learn a lot on this tour. If I hadn't followed this tour I would not have appreciated what I was actually looking at, particularly in the Uffizi which has thousands of paintings and is actually quite poorly laid out.

The local tour company was horrible. We had chosen an English tour but because there were only few tourists for that tour, they combined us with the Spanish tour crowd. In that case, they wasted a lot of our time since we had to wait for 50% of our time waiting for the tour guide to speak in English. In Uffizi, we couldn't even see 1/2 the gallery and barely got to see much since it was a evening tour anyways and the gallery had to shut earlier. It was suppose to be a 1 1/2 hr English only tour which tourned out to be a 45min English tour. And when we complained, they didnt even bother to re-schedule or refund. According to them that was how it worked. No where while booking they had mentioned that they could combine the languages.

The guide was very knowledgable and we enjoyed the tour. But as a tourist who wanted to appreciate as many as arts, he spent too mach time on certain pieces and gave us a kind of lecture. I understand his enthusiasum but I wanted more of general guidance.

Both tours were terrific! Seeing the David at the Accademia was the highlight of the tour (about 1 hour long). The Uffizi was breathtaking and I only wish the tour started earlier so we could see more of the galleries. Our guide was tremendous and extremely engaging. Even if you are not an art lover this is well worth a visit!

If anyone wants to take this tour, don't waste your time at Uffizi. Accademia is well worth it and the guide is very learned. Uffizi is too rushed and you don't really have enough time to take it all in. Also, note that due to "commercial" reasons, you are not allowed to take photos of The David!! So be caution there are always guards on the prowl. Herman SA.

Mixed reviews for this tour. The tour was in both Spanish and English -- which means we had to wait for the other language to be spoken for each work of art. The guide in the Accademia seemed rather bored, which made listening to the Spanish language component somewhat grueling. However, the guide at the Uffizi Gallery was very engaging and added a lot of useful information about the art --- we used the Spanish language portion as free time to admire the numerous other works of beauty in each exhibit. Bottom line: the David in person is truly spectacular, and the Uffizi Gallery is both huge and has true masterpieces --- both are must sees if you like art. I think the tour at the Accademia could have been better, but I did not regret purchasing this tour.

My wife and I went in November 2011 and enjoyed this tour. We definitely enjoyed the Uffizi Gallery more than the Accademia. The main focus of the Accademia tour was the statue of David. That said our tour guide did explain a lot about Michelangelo and how he helped the people who he envisioned as being trapped in the stone to become exposed. She also explained how the paintings prior to the salon housing David were paintings from the people that taught Michelangelo . Outside of David, the most amazing thing in the museum was a separate room housing plaster sculptures from students...one of which showed a child crying on his mother who had just died. The emotion in the face of the child was heart-wrenching.

We skipped the massive queues and got a concise and informative insight on the more interesting aspects of each gallery, with time after to do our own exploration. The guides where thorough and knowledgeable - if you are to see these galleries, ad we recommend you do if you visit Florence, we definitely recommend you do this tour, as it will save you ages waiting in queues and you will get more out of your visit due to the information provided - excellent!

Excellent first tour of Accademia because of quality of guide. A good mix of humour and fact. Uffizi guide was good but a little dry. Harder to stary with him in Uffizi as so busy. But generally a very good way to do the two galleries - and much, much better than queuing. Expensive, even the 10 reduction, but worth it.
