This was not the best tour. God bless the guide because she did all she could to make the tour interesting, but there isn't a lot to see in the academia save for the David.

Great tour. Our guide Anna was fantastic. Full of informative details that we would have missed on our own. Just sorry that we did not have time to continue with her to tour the Uffizi. Maybe next time! Very highly recommend this one.

Good tour with a great tour guide, knew heaps about Michelangelo and personalised the tour to our group and told us some stories of her. Etc. David a great sight to see and the tour wasn't drawn out too much. _br/_ something you would have to see whilst in Florence.

It was a skip the line, literally. the guide focused on two statues only, spent 15 minutes every corner of a statue and of course listening to the info on each statue. We spent 45 minutes sitting on the bench while she went on and on about David before we went around the statue then after that tour was over. Could have given us info on all the other paintings and statues. But i guess that's why you have to buy those books inside the gallery...

Skip the tour, stand in the line. It's cheaper that way and probably shorter overall. The only thing to see here is "David". The tour makes what could be a 15 minute visit into an hour and a half. So do yourself a favor and skip the tour and save the money.

On the plus side the gallery was very good and the Statue of David was worth the entrance fee alone - absolutely fabulous._br/_ On the minus side - the guide was a bit iffy when we asked questions she seem to take it as a criticism and although we paid to 'pass the line' we had to queue for 45 minutes before we could get in. Overall felt Gallery was well worth the visit.

Our guide, I don't remember her name, an older lady with gray hair, was eccentric, hilarious, and knew her stuff! Absolutely worth it. Her background stories were intriging. I wish I had her as a tour guide throughout my entire trip!

Excellent tour of the Accademia Gallery, passing a couple hundred people waiting in line to enter! We ended with a viewing of David and The Prisoners. Our Guide was very knowledgable and passionate about Michelangelo's works; she was a joy to have lead us! Our first booking with Viator and certainly not our last! Our cruise ship changed the itinerary, including our date in Florence. One quick request and Viator easily changed our tour date so we wouldn't lose out. We're very happy with the whole experience!

Our tour guide made this trip truly wonderful. The instructions on where to meet were a little scetchy. Was instructed to meet at Door 1. That's not true. Door 1 is on the otherside of the building and no one meets there. Just follow the crowd and meet where everyone else does.

The host was great. The David was incredible. Not waiting in line....priceless. But at the same time it didn't come close to matching any of the other tours i took in Italy. I'm glad I did it, but wouldn't say it's mandatory.

This was very informative! what we liked most about this tour was that was got a pretty thorough walk through with descriptions and all with our guide, but then were free to roam the gallery on our own as part of the ticket price! David is amazing of course, but there is much more that is worth seeing in this Gallery!

Our docent rates as one of the two best we have ever ever had in all our travels. He was absolutely mesmerizing. He told stories about Michelangelo and contemporaries that made it all come alive. Our docent was humorous, knew his subject, and had a unique ability to bring all of his Michelangelo stories together into an understandable context.

I am glad we took the tour so we did not have to wait in line. But it was sometimes hard to hear the tour guide even with the whisper phones. He was very knowledgeable about the artwork but sometimes was hard to understand because of his accent.

Although i thought I knew already everything about The David, the guide knew even more. He was a great storyteller. I loved that he knew even more about Michelangelo's other sculptures. Because of the ear-things I could wander around and still hear him talking, that was nice. Afterwards you can spend more time watching everything yourself and visit the other expo in the museum. Worth every dime! Skipping the line while seeing the line outside made me feel very lucky ;-)

The guide gave a very interesting presentation. I especially appreciated the whisperers so that I could hear what she said despite the many other tours. The tour was probably a little longer than it needed to be, but it was interesting nonetheless.

Our guide was extremely knowledgeable about the painting and sculptures of all of the artists. You could tell she had a great love of the art and artists. To our delight, she spoke excellent English! You wear personal radios with earpieces so you can hear the guide's commentary very well. The real "David" is incredible to view! There is time after the tour to go back to review the art and to visit the shop. I highly recommend this tour. We took the tour at the end of September which is towards the end of the tourist season, and the lines to get in were very long!
