The rep was a little rude and sort of rushed us away and kept repeating that we didnt have a tour with this ticket even though we clearly knew that. Unless you are studying art, this is definitely not worth paying to skip the line, since the ticket is only 10 euros. You can definitely enjoy Florence by skipping this gallery altogether.

When I booked tickets I phoned and asked three times whay there were "departure times". I clearly told "Joe" that we wanted to walkt through the museum on our own hands, and he said "no problems". BUT when we arrived at the entrance at about 0930 o'clock we learnt that we couldn't come in as we had missed the departure time 0900. We were directed to 1630, so the problem was solved, but we were very upset!!

We would definitely recommend purchasing the "Skip the Line" passes for the Uffizi. Just last week there were MANY people waiting in line just to purchase tickets, and the line of people WITH tickets waiting to get in was crazy. We found the tour company on the sidewalk, they took the voucher, handed us our tickets, and in we went! We wouldn't do it any other way! B+T, Kansas

There weren't that many in line to begin with, but it was ok. They first send you through a metal detector, but don't tell you to check your bags until your ready to go in, then you have to go back around the corner to check it and get back in line. No posted instructions in English.

When we got to the museum per the directions on the voucher no one was there and we had to call the telephone number provided in case of issues. The local operator indicated that they did not have our contact info to let us know that the museum had to change hours and the tour could not be conducted at the set time. We had made some plans and had to reschedule a number of preset plans. That was not convenient! They pushed our entry to the following day which proceeded OK.

The representative was there to meet us to make sure we were in the right place. So everything went according to plan. There are kiosks to buy tickets in advance in Florence which are cheaper. But there is the uncertainty of finding them and then having the time you require.

It is true, I skipped the line. You pay quite a bit more for that luxury than if you buy it in person or directly from the museum. But it is a good option if all the reserved tickets for the time you want are sold out at the museum ticket office.

The ticket to skip the line worked like a charm, showed up at our time and after a short wait, we were inside. We were not prepared for the size of the museum, and after a while all the Madonna paintings began to look alike. The terrace restaurant was a good break and they had a good view.

It is true that the line ups in Italy are enormous!!! i regret not taking tickets for both Uffizi and academia, because after falling in love with Uffizi, i was unable to go to the other museum as the line was a waste of time. highly recommend this gallery and highly recommend seeing it with skip the line tickets. we walked around on our own with a self guide book which was very helpful and allowed us to take our time.
