Talk about a small group, we had 4 people total, and a very informative guide. She walked us through what would have been a maze of Byzantine and Renaissance art to show us the really good stuff, then turn us loose for the rest. Fantastic tour, started on time, whisper units were functional, though almost unnecessary because of the group size. I definitely recommend this tour if you want to understand some of the symbolism and meaning behind the art of the time.

We were lucky - my son and I the only ones in this "group" tour. Uffizi is a must-see. Guide is recommended to maximise appreciation of the treasures in this gallery. Our guide Maria Gracia was so knowledgeable and a real class act. The gallery can get crowded but she steered us patiently through.

Guide was wonderful from start to finish! Her approach to the tour was excellent - she hit highlights and told the story of the evolution of the art/artists very effectively. Very knowledgeable and well though out presentation. If we'd gone to the Uffizi on our own we would've gotten bogged down. Francesca made it interesting and enjoyable. The great part was not waiting in line to enter, and being led to a few critical paintings. The fair to ok part was the tour guide who acted self-absorbed, delivered adequate but no more on the evolving painting techniques revealed by the paintings we were shown. It appears hit or miss with a great tour guide. Mine happened not to be a hit. Oh, yes, too the good, he did make certain not to lose his group members amongst the many in the museum..

Overall this was a good tour, but pacing could use some work. The guide was significantly slower than others, and spent an inordinate amount of time on very few pieces of art. Felt we could have gotten a better overview of more art with a little more speed.

Loved the tour although most of the room inside the Uffizi were very humid. I suggest you take a fan with whilst walking around. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and had a sense of humor, which helps to further engage when taking in so much around you. I'd recommend this tour.

The guide followed the rules and we had to bin our water bottles on entry. However, on walking around the gallery we noticed several people were carrying and drinking from their bottles! Make sure you empty your bottles prior to entry. However, guide was very helpful and informative and explained all the important paintings in detail. Wonderful not having to queue for hours for entry.

The tour was briefer than stated and unfortunately the emphasis was more on the religious aspects of the paintings, rather than the social historical context. I was glad we saw it, but it was our least favorite tour.

In general it was a very good tour - we enjoyed it. Our guide is experienced and knowledgeable. But the tour lasted only 1.5 hour, it is supposed to be 2 hours.

There are ways to avoid long lines at the Uffizi that won't cost you anything, but you won't get the great guides offered by these tours. Even a gentleman on our tour who had been an art history major was learning new things. Our guide, Marie Grazie was passionate, funny and incredible in her knowledge of not only the renaissance art, but the pre-renaissance influences and influencers. Worth every penny.

Francesca was knowledgeable, very attuned to the group's interest and needs, and gave us an excellent "highlights" tour of this amazing museum. She answered all sorts of questions related to the history as well as the art. It was perfect for us, with some rusty art history, but lots of interest, and not much time in Florence. I recommend this tour for anyone interested in knowing more about what you see in the museum and especially if your time is limited. There's so much to see in Florence, and the Uffizzi but you can't absorb it all.

Maria Grace was great. Very knowledgeable and had a delightful sense of humour! Highly recommend this tour. One thing I will say and this isn't intended knock against the tour itself, is that if you are not very interested in art, you could probably skip the uffizi altogether while in Florence. I'm glad I went, but it's not a MUST.

Have been on many Walking Tours always with Viator, was not up to Par with there normal great Tours. Small Group was larger than they said so a lot of tour was keeping people gathered. There is so much to see and unless you have a good command of art history, having the guide really makes the tour, the intracacies and the art come alive that much more.
