Tuscany in One Day Sightseeing Tour

Florence, Italy

Famous for a wealth of art, history, striking landscapes and outstanding produce, Tuscany really does have the best of all worlds! With only a day to spare, see the best Tuscany has to offer on this full-day guided coach trip from Florence.

Meet your local guide before heading for the hills on a scenic drive through the Tuscan countryside. Your first stop for the day is gothic Siena, famous for its medieval streets. Choose to join a guided tour through the city(free entry inside the Cathedral is included). Or, alternatively, you're free to marvel the sights of Siena at your own pace, enjoy a drink in an open air cafe and meet the locals.

Enjoy a stroll among Chianti vineyards, olive groves and wine cellars before indulging in a traditional Tuscan lunch amongst the Sienese hills where Chianti wine is produced. Surrounded by grapes vines you'll have the opportunity to meet fellow travelers while feasting on local foods including cold meats, salads, pasta and bread. A wine-tasting class will be held during lunch including free samples of wine and olive oil (which are also available for purchase).

After lunch you will visit San Gimignano where you can roam the maze of cobbled streets and small squares, grab a gelato and walk between San Gimignano's famous 14 towers. Your final stop is Pisa, where you can take an up-close inspection of The Leaning Tower, view the Cathedral, the Baptistery and monumental Cemetery in Pisa before venturing back to Florence where your full-day tour concludes.

Want to skip the long lines at the Leaning Tower of Pisa?
Upgrade to the Tour & Leaning Tower of Pisa option and you'll receive pre-booked entrance tickets. Go to the front of the queue at the Leaning Tower of Pisa without having to wait in line and experience a once in a lifetime opportunity to climb the world's most titled tower. Elisa was our leader and she was fantastic. She was funny, very helpful and knew so much about the places we visited that, together with her personality, made the whole experience really enjoyable. We visitied San Gimingano which was SOOOOO beautiful; Sienna and Pisa were nice too but San Gimingano impressed us the most.

For a solo inexperienced backpacker, this was an excellent and affordable way to get a real taste of the Tuscany countryside including all the major sights. Our guide, Michelle, was enthusiastic and very helpful with even the most "silly" or "obvious" of questions.

My husband and I absolutely loved this trip. It was one of the highlights of our trip. Our guide was great! Really enjoyed the lunch at the farm - the best prosciutto we had ever had. Seeing Tuscany from several of these towns was unbelievable. The weather turned out great and we couldn't have asked for a better experience.

What a wonderful, wonderful day. Well worth every penny! We loved the places we visited and have sworn to go back and stay in Siena now. The guide was so so helpful and friendly. The meal and wine tasting was great fun and a well deserved break on our trip. We both had tickets to go up the Leaning Tower of Pisa and hadn't realized that the numbers are strictly limited - so an essential to book well in advance! Will definitely be using this company again - couldn't fault our day!

Becky was the best guide! She was so informative and fun. The day trip was planned really well, not too long on the coach and plenty of time to enjoy each stop. The winery was my favorite, the food was fantastic and the wine was even better. I highly recommend this day trip!

We've taken many day tours and this has to be the BEST one ever. The organization was amazing. No ride longer than 1 1/2 hours. Interesting and enthusiastic guide (Barbara) who keep us all entertained, enlightened and happily on time. Nice enough to wait 15 mins to roll out and organized enough to make it up on the road. Each site was a wonder and had it's own highlights. Time at each place was great and the winery/farm tour short, interesting and no pressure and the lunch and the view outside the dinning room of San G was one of the best ever. They even sold water on the bus for 1 Euro if you didn't think to bring it. Had also sorts of special surprises to delight you along the way. If I could I would double the stars to 10. Go if you can Tuscany is more beautiful than imagined and this trip highlights every aspect of it. Thank you Walkabout Tours and thank you Barbara and driver Demetri--your the BEST!

This was by far the best thing we did during our two week vacation. The itinerary was well-planned, the tour guide (Chris!!) was well-informed and very nice, and the scenery was amazing. All in all one of my favorite experiences abroad yet, and we've been traveling for quite some time. Well done!!! I highly recommend this. It's definitely worth the money. One last thing: Chris was probably the best tour guide we've ever had as well; great job Chris!

Our tour guide, Stefano, was 6 stars. He was delightful, funny, accommodating and knowledgeable. Overall the tour was fantastic, especially Siena, but Pisa itself, which is no fault of Viator, was a disappointment. It was a bit "seedy" just outside the walls of the tower and there wasn't much to see. However, it was still a great day and driving through the Tuscan countryside made me dream of what it would be like to "Live under the Tuscan Sun"._br/_ I would highly recommend this tour!

Tour guide Agata was fabulous. One day does not do justice to this area, but if that's all you have then DO THIS TOUR! Wish we'd had more time in Pisa at the end of the day. Sienna tour guide was rated a bit of a sourpuss by all three of us on the tour.

This tour was alright. There were several travelers with us that talked incessantly and raised their voices over our guide. Our guide should have politely asked them to lower their voices, but she choose to pretend it wasn't happening. My experience was definitely affected by this. It was too much money to pay for the overall experience I had.

Tour is only suited if you want to have a quick view of the places of interest. Winery tour is in a rush and travellers at the tail end would have missed out lots given the walk around is about 15mins.

Phenomenal trip and highly recommend it. Our friendly and wonderful guide was very knowledgeable and responded to every inquiry with such concern. Met very nice people on the trip as well. My only regret is that we did not have more free time to roam in Siena, which was awe-inspiring, but this certainly did not do anything to detract from the wonderful day.

This was the best tour we had during our two weeks in Italy. Stefano was very engaging from the moment the tour started. We covered a lot of area during the day and gained much knowledge in the process. The visit/lunch to the organic was farm wonderful. We had enough time at each of the stops (Sienna, San Gimignano, and Pisa) to get a taste of each city. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone spending time in Florence.

Wonderful, wonderful tour. This was by far the best tour I've ever taken in Europe. Walkabout was excellent, and our guide Becky was the nicest guide I've ever met. She really took care of us and made the trip fun. Siena was beautiful, San Gimigniano was awesome, and the trip up Pisa's Leaning Tower was so much better than I thought it would be. They even have a little gas-powered train that takes you from the bus parking lot to the Field of Miracles. You get to have a nice little tour through the town that way.

This entire tour was a truly excellent experience. It provided a great sampling of what Tuscany has to offer. Our tour guide (Stefano) was upbeat, friendly, and knowledgeable. He was constantly providing history and commentary throughout the tour. The towns were beautiful and you get an great view of the surrounding countryside from the top of San Gimignano. The vineyard lunch/tasting was also excellent and a few bottles of the local olive oil and wine accompanied me home._br/_ The only piece of advice I'd give is to purchase the Leaning Tower of Pisa ticket in advance with the tour booking. Less than half the people on my tour had purchased these tickets up front and they were sold out when we arrived. It's worth the climb so don't miss out there.

Extremely friendly and helpful tour guide, Douglass. The whole day is very well organized and you get to see three amazing Tuscan cities and towns. Recommend purchasing the option to climb the tower in Pisa -- it is a very manageable 9 story climb for most people.

Our tour was fantastic! The guides were very knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. They spoke perfect English. The bus ride was comfortable, clean and air conditioned. All the sites were amazing. Each stop on the tour was given the appropriate amount of time. We appreciated the "on your own time" as well. Visiting the winery and tasting a typical Italian meal, paired with delicious wines from the region was a real treat! We'd highly recommend this tour. It's one you shouldn't miss!
