There are 2 arrival places, A and B. Although we arrived with others on our flight, we were not met. FOrtunately, another person phoned the Ground Transportation people and we were told that someone would be there in 15-20 minutes. It was 5 minutes. The greeter was at the wrong arrival place. This is confusing.

Hanoi airport is not the clearest place to navigate, so having pre-arranged transport into Hanoi was excellent. We were met on time, with polite and well informed staff, good clean air-conditioned vehicle. Highly recommended.

Terrible ...there was no car waiting when we arrived in Hanoi. After several phone calls and help from two drivers from other companies, that where at the airport to pick up other travelers, a man from the company turned up from somewhere and put us in a dirty, hot smelly taxi and sent us to the wrong hotel. After many years of extensive travel for business and pleasure I have never had this occur before!!!

As per description. A man with a sign was there waiting for us for pickup even though we had a 1hr delay. Unfortunately the man could not speak English so the trip was rather quiet.

Extremely disappointing. Met at airport arrivals hall by driver but had to walk a long way in the heat to the vehicle. Driver was a surly no speaking type and then got lost on way to Sofitel Hotel. Had no idea where he was going. Very unpleasant - never again.

Good to be picked up at Airport and Met by Guide.Ms Mai told us a Little about Hanoi and suggested Tours we might like to take..we had to Turn down Howlong Bay as we were exhausted from Big Tours in Ho Chi Minh.

Driver was not at airport to meet us. He claimed he only got a text message before we landed but we booked quite a long time in advance. It took us a long time to find him and we nearly had to catch a cab ourselves to the hotel. That was not a good experience.

Our flight was delayed an hour and a half into Hanoi. After several re-directions when contacting Buffalo to let them know we managed to find someone who spoke English and noted the delay. Unfortunately the office did not inform the girl waiting at the Airport in Hanoi and she waited the hour and a half for us to turn up. Otherwise no issues. We were extremely grateful after being delayed to have no fuss with the transport to our hotel. The drive from the Airport to Hoan Kiem Lake District in Hanoi took just under an hour in peak hour traffic.

Some one from Buffalo Tours was waiting, however, she was not waiting for us. Our names were on a list and with that she called and arranged for a car to take us into our hotel. I don't know what the mix up was, however it was handled well and we were happy to have the ride.

After reading about taxi scams from Hanoi Airport, we decided to book a private transfer. This was a costlier option, but we were so glad to have used it. As we came through customs, we were met by a delightful young lady who took us to the cab and then accompanied us to our hotel. She explained various things along the way and made us feel welcome to our first experience in Vietnam. We felt it was definitely worth the money and would recommend it to other travellers.

Very convenient to have someone there on arrival however cost 30 for 2 people, local taxis are right outside airport terminal and only charge 20. But definitely good if you would prefer to have someone waiting for you.

There were some problem with this one. They weren't there. I didn't have a confirmation email, so I think there was a computer glitch. They made it up to us by giving us a bottle of wine, which was very nice. I don't think it was their fault and it was nice that they were very concerned about the mishap and communicated through their tour guides to provide us with a nice bottle of wine when we were on the Halong Bay boat tour.

Everything was perfect, the only thing is you can find far better prices in local agencies. As this is an arriving transfer if you don't have local contacts, having someone to pick you up in the airport it's worth the difference.

Airport transfer was very punctual and efficient. Tour to Ha Long Bay was good. Guide stayed too long at rest stop and did not physically help older person in group to get on boat. Otherwise guide and driver were very pleasant.
