Take in the views from the distant mountain ranges of the southwest, to the sprawling city of Hobart below, then follow your guide on a downhill descent of the mountain. Watch the alpine terrain gradually being replaced by a magnificent forest and stop on several occasions to take in the varying views and snap a picture or two.

The winding mountain road takes you down to the foothills where you can choose to experience the thrill of the off-road section. Finish the 21 kilometer cycling trip after riding through the outer suburbs of South Hobart and Battery Point and complete the journey in Salamanca Place on the waterfront of Hobart.

Off-road Riding:
For the more adventurous amongst the group, there is an opportunity to let loose on approximately 5km of off-road riding. Those not interested in hitting the dirt trails, can happily roll down the hill with the support van behind and meet the group at the resting and snack spot around 20 minutes later. The whole group will then ride together into the city of Hobart. This trail goes via historic Battery Point and concludes in Salamanca Place on the waterfront of Hobart.

very good, but weather was bad. A "get-out" clause in case of inclement weather would be helpful. A thrilling, exhilerating experience, and worth the inconvenience of the weather.

This was lot of fun. Magnificent views over Hobart from the top of Mt Wellington and an exhilarating ride all the way down. Our guide enabled us to go as fast or slow as we wanted and I would highly recommend this experience

Excellent views over Hobart. Quite a thrilling ride down the mountain once I got used to the braking. Much easier than I thought. Wish I'd done the off road part.

It was a fantastic trip and I would definitely do again, but just thought I would leave this feedback. I thought the last bit of the ride through the busy traffic around Salamanda was a bit hairy. I would have been happy if the trip stopped at the Cascade Brewery. We both really loved the trip though and it has encouraged us to get back into mountain bike riding! Thank you.
