This was my absolute favourite part of our trip, the journey there and back was great, our guide Linda was sensational, the food was brilliant. We all had a wonderful time..

I sat on the upper level to see the harbor sites..Could not hear 1 word the tour guide was saying, mostly because te people were more concerned about getting their drinks and chips. Unfortunately the weather was cold and very hazy to see the skyline The dinner was amazing . My friend and I were the only Americans and sat with a couple and their family who were on vacation from Beijing. The husband spoke English, and I exchanged e-mails with so we could correspond. Going through the market was fascinating..Gide very sweet and spoke very good English. Woud have liked to have heard more about the harbor.

We took our grandparents on this tour with the hope of showing them something new about Hong Kong (they've been to the country many times). The tour managed to surprise even them with the market which consisted of an amazing array of different kinds of seafood - often types that we had not seen before!!! The dinner was good but after seeing the market it made me wish there was a bit more seafood in the banquet (I would also recommend checking the menu before you go - strangely a few families were not prepared to eat seafood and were a bit squeamish when it came to eating staples such as fish and prawns). The dinner was over a bit too quickly - it was not like the usual Chinese banquet where each dish came out separately - here it came out all at once. BUT I would definitely recommend the tour, especially for the photos and the discovery of a market that will definitely be on my itinerary next trip!

An enjoyable night and excellent value. Free drink service on cruise good but red wine choice not to my taste. The meal was of a good quality but the price of wine was excessive. Ian-Australian Nov 11

Our party of four enjoyed the trip on the harbor but were not impressed with the the frantic speed with which the meal was served or the fact that we had 10 people on our table and the quantity of each dish served was not sufficient to give each a fair portion._br/_

This was not what I expected, the boat took us to eat and then back. Did not get to see the fireworks in the Harbor. Dinner was good, but I would rather have stayed on the boat and seen the fireworks.

It was a little tricky to find the public pier at Kowloon at first since it is not well-marked. The cruise itself was nice, easy. The small amount of information provided while cruising was good and easy to hear. The guide who escorted us through the village was very friendly and nice. The village itself was fascinating - took loads of photos on the way out. The restaurant was good - food very good, service excellent. It would have been nice to have a bit more information about the village and it's history. But overall a very nice and easy evening.

The title is a little misleading. We thought we would enjoy a cruise and get a chance to see the festiival of lights. The dinner was very good, but a lot of time was spent getting to and returning from the restaurant.

Although everything was fine, I found having to leave the boat for the meal was not all that much fun. I enjoyed seeing the fishing village and harbour, but somehow the trip seemed disjointed and would have been better either as a separate harbour cruise or a fishing village/and dinner.

We all had a great time on this tour. The view from on board the boat, of the buildings all lit up was fantastic, crew made sure everyone was looked after. The dinner was alright, the whole fish was the best of the dishes, my husband even ate the fishes heads, not my cup of tea but he enjoyed them. _br/_ It was really good walking through the fish markets seeing all sorts of fish ect that we have never seen before._br/_ So all in all it was very much so a worth while tour to take

The pre-dinner cruise is probably better as they were on the same boat and could take more advantage of the unlimited drinks, this one was just a trip to be dropped off at the fishing village. the fish market was interesting, but we were in a back room of a restaurant, not the one described, on hurriedly put up tables in a back room by the back yard and rushed through the meal. Not a very enjoyable evening when it promised more.

This tour was crap, we did it because other review was 50, 50 but it was a waste of money. the crew were sloply dress and not very profesional. the free drinks were crap and the bar tender was rude and keep asking for tip and was pushy about it, so did not eveb bother to get drinks. The food was ok but the restaurant was in some dirty back street which i did not find to be nice or cultural.

Our boat picked up on time and when advertising says free drinks on board it means it! Just avoid chinese red wine. We were guided through the fish market which was amazingly different to anything available in the uk. Food at the Lei Yue Mun restaurant was very good and the Australians we had dinner with were good fun. We would use VIATOR again.

This tour was depressing. For some people the harbour tour was more about how much free booze they could consume. For others it was more about how to escape the party then how to enjoy the cruise. Also the loudspeaker quality was so poor that it was unable to overcome the engine sound so any information that was given while touring the harbour was useless. The dinner was unimaginative and unsatisfying. The fish and the shrimp, for instance, was still whole as it came out of the water. It took a lot of effort to eat more than a few shrimps or more than a few mouthfuls of fish. Other dishes were deep fried and had more batter than seafood. In fact no one at our table could identify one of the dishes because it was so heavily battered. Overall a bit of a nightmare for someone who expected either a good meal or an interesting cruise.

Worthwhile for the tour through the fish stalls alone en route to the actual restaurant. Meal itself comprehensive if service typically zealous - no relaxing post-meal with a drink!!

Recommend this tour. The view at night of Hong Kong is terrific. The boat ride and the meal at the end was one of the best I have had. Our guide was very nice and gave us good information on the fish at the fish market which you must go through to get to the resturant. People in the shops were very friendly and wanted to chat.

Not a great trip! The tour guide was hard to hear and understand. Attitude was that he was so not interested in doing the job, and the food at the selected restaurant was an awful example of the local cuisine. I'll never do that one again!
