See more activities in the main harbor through the busy freighter anchorage, towards the Kowloon Promenade. Sail along the Island East waterfront and pass by Causeway Bay Typhoon Shelter before ending the cruise.

We went on the later cruise which seemed to miss the main part of the light show. Was a little disappointing and boring. Crew were not very interactive as they seemed more involved in trying to fix a door that they kept opening causing a cold draught. The earlier trip may have been better. Only a basic bar available.

To be honest, my boyfriend and I were not expecting the Harbour Night Junk Cruise to be anything more than a scenic boat trip around Victoria Harbour, which would have been nice, but no more than nice. It was so much more fun than that due to our host for the evening. He told us fascinating stories about Hong Kong as well as talking cheerily about himself and his family. We had a great time comparing Hong Kong to Australia, assisted by the many campari and sodas and rum and cokes we downed during the 90 minute trip. And, of course, the lights of Hong Kong provided a gorgeous background to our conversation. Thanks for a wonderful evening! It was the highlight of our 5 day trip!

The tour was late in starting. Guide seemed totally bored. Tips were expected. Totally unwelcoming.

The boat was not a junk - we were misled by the boats description. The star ferry was better. The so called junk was full of drunk people, the boat looked tatty and wasn't the cleanest.
