Hong Kong Sunset Cruise plus Dinner at the Jumbo Floating Restaurant

Hong Kong, Hong Kong

Experience the magic of Hong Kong at night with an evening cruise on Hong Kong's dazzling Victoria Harbour, then feast on a nine-course Chinese dinner at Aberdeen's famous Jumbo Floating Restaurant.

On your relaxing evening cruise around Hong Kong's harbor you'll enjoy unlimited free drinks from the open bar onboard a traditional Chinese sightseeing tour boat while you watch Hong Kong light up.

After your evening cruise on Hong Kong's floodlit harbor, you'll travel to Aberdeen by luxury motor coach for a superb Chinese banquet dinner at the famous Jumbo Floating Restaurant, Hong Kong's most renowned floating restaurants. Spectacularly illuminated at night, the Jumbo looks like a floating palace from the imperial era and is moored at Aberdeen harbor on the southern tip of Hong Kong Island. On your return to central Hong Kong you'll make a stop at the Mid-Levels lookout for a glittering night view of Hong Kong and Kowloon.

Our trip to the jumbo was an excellent tripmwell organized and it ran efficiently considering the weather and a small group who were a little disruptive. Our guide Iris was attentive and knowledgeable. I food on and service on the jumbo was also excellent, we had a great time

The harbor cruise was okay, but the arrangements were disasterous. We called to arrange a TST pickup instead of Hong Kong island... the msg was never relayed. Then, the instructors for TST were to "meet in front of the clock tower" but what it should have said "meet at Pier 3, just PAST the clock tower on the water". We almost missed the cruise and talked to at least one other couple that did in fact miss it the previous night because of the instructions. the cruise was okay. The bus ride to Jumbo was okay but the food was disappointing, pretty run-of-the-mill, lots of fried stuff and served "family" style were you're in a group of a half dozen or more people trying to figure out who should take the last shrimp. For some reason I thought it was a buffet which would've been nice. Anyway, I would not recommend it at this price, but it could've been worse, so I dont doubt that other folks have had a five-star experience but that just wasn't our experience. This was the very first Viator experience that was less than great, we'll try them again.

The food was a let down and very basic. I was also expecting the floating restaurent to move but it just stays stationary. The cruise is pretty fun though. Most locals recommend to just go for lunch (dim sum) at the Jumbo. Dinner was not special ...

Cruise was good but restaurant was disappointing - very bland group meal that I doubt highlighted the best Jumbo had to offer. Didn't like having to sit on big table either. Tour guide was informative and entertaining though, and handled some "annoying" fellow travellers very well. Thanks Cathy.

A great evening. Taking it all in on a river boat down the river with all the city lights was a more beautiful view than in New York. _br/_ I was disappointed in the dinner. Only three dishes were good, the rest was not ok due to too much grease. and was Not authentic food. It was obvious the owner of this floating restaurant is only interested in money. Everyone on our table felt the same way. They charge for every thing extra. Even a lemon wedge. CRAZY_br/_ We did feel deceived as to the description of the evening. All you can drink is only on the short river boat to the restaurant. We had to pay for water at dinner. We felt like cattle on a dinner, it was not romantic and relaxing. We did meet some great people on this tour.

This tour can be split into two parts ,the first the cruise around the harbour was stunning the views never to be forgotten and worth the ticket price itself , unfortunately the meal at the jumbo was disappointing and it felt like we were herded like cattle in and out !! never mind the boat trip made up for a disappointing meal .

We enjoyed the cruise prior the dinner at the Jumbo Floating Restaurant. Unfortunately the dinner is a big disappointment for the price we paid. It is really low quality of food for a big and famous restaurant like this. It is better to eat somewhere else after taking the cruise. The cruise itself was really nice. Stay away from the Jumbo Floating Restaurant.

I signed up for this trip because I thought it would be a nice way to experience several things in Hong Kong and a good value. I had read that there was a nine course meal at the Jumbo that cost around $120 per person when the dinner was over, so upon hearing this included a nine course meal, a boat ride and unlimited drinks, for just less, I figured it was a great deal. However, the nine course meal is not the same. The one at the Jumbo if you are not part of this package included lobster and abalone. Our meal was nine course, but had some very basic food. It was OK, and the experience at the Jumbo is definitely worth it. The other part I didn't enjoy too much was the boat ride. It was very windy when we went out and they wanted us all on top blowing around in the wind. I went downstairs anyway. I thought the boat was going to be more of an authentic Chinese junk or something, and it was just a two story ferry type thing with a snack shack on it. The drinks were limited, the bar tender didn't understand much English and was very rude. They served a white wine, a red wine and some hard liquor and poured Sprite or Coke in it if you asked, otherwise it was on the rocks. No mixed drinks. The snack was a bag of potatoes chips they threw at you when you picked up your drink. They also poured the drinks 1/2 full, so you had to keep going back. The view of Hong Kong during sunset was great though and I still think this is a good package for what you get.

We found the cruise and the dinner excellent The beautiful lights of Hong Kong and Kowloon were definately worth seeing from the water. Out host for the night was very informative and entertaining. After seeing the view from Victoria Peak during the day it was great to see the view from mid way at night also. Can recommend this trip sat with people from many different countries so it was a truly entertaining evening.

When we take this tour in internet we was thinking to have a dinner viewing the lighting show. In the real life, another ship pick you up and give you a short cruise to see the bay and later take you to the Jumbo Ship to have a dinner, and this jumb is anchoring in the same place of the floating city., which is not an atraction We get off the ship and we do not take the dinner because we wanted to see the lighting show

The first part of the tour was terrible! The boat spewed diesel over everyone, and the 'free drinks' were a joke. The alcohol was only good for paint stripping! The dinner at Jumbos was fantastic, I highly recommend this part of the tour. Our guide was fantastic and the view from half way up the peak at night was also great.

We enjoyed the cruise but had a long drive through friday night traffic to get to the Jumbo Restaurant. The food was good but a bit light on for eight people seated at one table. Could not fault the guide she was full of information from start to finish.

The tour was fine; however, the dinner was poor, and I did not wish to sit on a table to share a meal. I wanted myself and my other 3 travellers to be on our own table.

It was not a junk boat but a ferry junk conversion - there was a red-sailed junk - but not for us. The free beer & soft drinks on board were hot, snack was a small packet of peanuts with unfriendly service. The Jumbo restaurant had no electricity and the manageress aggressive - the most unpleasant experience However the tour guide was very attentive & did his best to facilitate the tour.

A great experience. The harbour cruise was brilliant. However the Jumbo was a disappointment not only was the food not seafood, it was quite the worse Chinese meal that our party of 11 had ever experienced anywhere in the world. Our complaint fell on deaf ears.

I would not recommend it if you are not a tourist. Firstly, the image on the website is misleading. That junk boat belongs to another company, and I booked it only because I thought it was the same junk boat I saw at the pier. I only found out when I confirmed my booking. There isn't a picture of the cruise or the restaurant on Viator, which is really misleading. Secondly, nobody picked us up or called us at the pier. I had to call the office and later a number for emergency before we could get on the cruise. Lastly, we had to sit at a table with other tourists. I asked for a separate table but was rejected. I was planning to celebrate my boyfriend's 30th birthday. This cruise is nice for tourists, and I should have been advised on that when I confirmed the booking. This could have been avoided if your website were clearer and provided accurate information, including pictures.
