Experience the marvels of the most spectacular journeys in the world while on your way to Banff and visit the natural wonder of the Columbia Icefield. This excursion takes you through two National Parks - Jasper and Banff.

Enjoy a short walk to Athabasca Falls, then head south to the Columbia Icefield. At the Columbia Icefield Centre ride onboard the all-terrain Ice Explorer out onto the Athabasca Glacier.

At the Icefields Centre you also have time to visit the giftshop, the Glacier Gallery or enjoy lunch at the restaurant.

In the afternoon you'll travel into Banff National Park, and enjoy scenic stops at glacier-fed Peyto Lake, and the Crowfoot Glacier.

A stop at the Fairmont Chateau Lake Louise, “The Jewel of the Canadian Rockies” rounds out the day before an early evening arrival into Banff.

What to Bring

• Warm clothes, including hats, gloves and warm shoes (It can get very cold on the Athabasca Glacier)
• Rubber soled shoes are recommended (for walking on the glacier)
