Sightseeing Bike Tour of Krakow

Krakow, Poland

Our tour meets in the largest medieval square in Europe, the main market square of Krakow. After an introduction on Krakow's origins we lead our guests to our shop to equip each person with their own Beachcruiser bike. Our tour takes you through a time warp of history and architecture, where you will find remnants of a history over 2000 years old.

We bike pass a 900 year old market before beginning the tour under the statue of the Battle of Grunwald. From there we ride along the Planty gardens to the Jaggiloninan University, where we walk inside the medieval courtyard and listen and watch as figures representing Queens of Poland's history chime the hour. We continue our journey to the Bishop's Palace for a glance at the famous window of Pope John Paul II, before glimpsing the old residence of Oscar Schindler. And what tour would be complete without a stop at the Wawel castle as well as the Dragon dwelling. Take pictures as the dragon breaths fire just for you!

Now its time for a relaxing ride along Krakow's Vistula river before entering the Krakow Ghetto. See remnants of the Ghetto wall before having the opportunity to enter Oscar Schindler's factory and sign the guest books, therefore adding your name to Schindler's list. See remnants of Krakow's historical Jewish quarter known as Kazimierz. By this time your appetite has grown enough to enjoy a Polish meal in a traditional Polish restaurant. Choose anything from wild boar to perogi dumplings to Paradise beer, the restaurants original home brew.

We begin our journey back from the restaurant through the bar saturated areas of Kazimierz, before we follow the royal route from behind the castle all the way to the resting area of Poland's only Leonardo De Vinci, Lady with Ermine, and we then end with a stop in front of an architectural marvel, the Slowacki theater. We stress that you do not have to be fit to do this tour. Krakow is completely flat and ideal for bike riding.

EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT, EXCELLENT. We didnt get the weather but our guide mike made up for it. The tour was informative, extensive and extremely interesting. Where we stopped for lunch was also some of the best cuisine we sampled in Krakow. Its a fun, energetic way to see and learn the history of the city. Its a must for anyone going to Krakow, its a leisurely cycle, with no hills, almost relaxing!!!

An excellent, fun and informative way to see the city. I was the only person on my tour and the guide made me feel completely comfortable on the bike and throughout the tour. I learned a lot about Polish and Krakow history and hopefully burned some calories to make up for the food i ate over the rest of my stay in Krakow.

Absolutely fantastic. Everyone who can ride a bike should join this tour early in their visit to Krakow. It was the best introduction to any city that we have ever undertaken. The guide was very knowledgeable and his english was excellent. We learned so much about the past and the present which informed the rest of our stay in Poland. We cannot praise this tour enough.

An excellent way to see Krakow, i was nervous at first as it is literally years since i rode a bicylce but the phrase 'its like riding a bike'....is definitely true it came back very easily. The Guide was excellent and his knowledge of the city brilliant. I would highly recommend this for the first day of your trip so that you can get your bearings and it will highlight for you what you want to see the rest of the trip. Lunch was excellent as well - the little cafe is beautiful and the food gorgeous. A must do on your trip to Krakow!

Our tour guide was great!!!! Very knowledgeable about Krakow. We got to see a lot of places that are off the beaten path that most guide books don't tell you about. Would totally recommend to people who want a great over view of the city. Do your first day there, that way you can go back to the places later and spend more time.

Our polishCanadian guide mike was very informative and he was aware of not overdoing the historical facts. Easily covered lots of ground, as he said like 3 tours in 1. Bike great, gears worked v.well, saddle v.comfortable! Sights and facts relating to the holocaust sad but very interesting, and complemented our tour of auschwitz. The lunch in a typical Jewish cafe was great. The only negative was the rain, which made photos tricky. There was only two of us on the tour, along with the guide, which was super. Care needed crossing at junctions though. Full marks overall, would highly recommend it.

We had a blast taking the bikes around town. I havent been on a bike in 20 years and was a little afraid, but our guide fitted us with the proper bike and off we went. He was very well educated on his history of Krakow. We went places that we would not of gotten to by foot and we learned so much from him. It is definitely fun and worth taking the bike tours.

Absolutely fantastic. The guide was so knowledgeable and friendly and gave a real history lesson of Krakow. Would recommend this to everyone who can cycle a bike and is all taken at a gentle speed and pace. This tour has confirmed to me that whenever I visit another town/city/country I will always take a guided tour rather than wander aimlessly trying to search out the history.

Fulfilled all our expectations. Our tour guide was 1st class. We saw everything it was possible to see in order to get a flavour of this beautiful city. The bike riding is not over strenuous as the city is quite flat. Stopped in the Jewish quarter for lunch - not included in the price, but for four of us it came to about 6 each including a couple of beers. Definitely worth doing and has made us want to come back to Krakow to see the city in more detail. If you only have time to do one tour of Krakow - do this one!!

A great way to see and be informed about the city. Guide was English speaking; bikes were comfy. Krakow is pretty flat, so didn't have to get out of saddle. Traffic is pretty safe as well, so would definitely recommend.

The tour is fantastic. We saw all the sights and more and had a fantastic guide. All four of us enjoyed the afternoon, and it was a very easy bike ride. Suitable for the unfit as well. Lunch was lovely, in a really traditional Polish restaurant and reasonably priced. Definitely worth doing while in Krakow.
