Very much a to-do place. Our guide was informed and willing to share information. It was something I am glad I did and would recommend it to anyone. You do need a bit of fitness to negotiate those stairs!

This was a good tour overall, however I don't think the batik factory visit is necessary. The batu caves are very impressive.

Was worth visiting the Chinese temple and the Batu Caves, but "clothing factory" was unnecessary - it is just a shop where tourists are expected to buy clothes (and prices are not even cheap).

Thoroughly Enjoyed This Tour. Nice Weather and Excellent Company. Our Guide Suggested We Do The Climb In Our Own Time and Not Try to Keep Up With Everyone Else In The Group._br/_ This Is What I Did and I Completed The Steps In 50 Minutes. Beautiful Views Looking Down Into Kuala Lumpur From The Steps.Be Warned Fellow Travellers Do Not Take Shoulder Bags, Drink Containers, Any Food Such As Packet Chips Etc As The Monkeys Absolutely Love These Items and Will Steal Them Out Of Your Hands. They Leave Things Like Cameras and Glasses Alone. The Monkey's Don't Hurt You and The Ones Carring Babies On Their Backs Actually Pose For The Tourists To Take Their Photos. Definitely Recommend This Tour To Anyone Staying In Kuala Lumpur For A Few Days. Also Visited Batik Factory and Saw How Batik Cloth Is Hand Patterned-Very Interesting.

The ChineseTemple tour was first and then on to Batu Caves. The temple is fabulous, not as big as the one on Penang, but equally as ornate. Batu Caves is amazing - lot of steps though, those with vertigo beware they are quite steep. The view from the top is great. Unfortunatley the Batik factory was closed (it was New Years Day) but we'd already seen a batik factory in Penang. So the driver offered to take us to anywhere else we had not seen, which was very accommadating of him.

Plusses - Batu Caves, a really neat cave system and the temple inside; monkeys not a problem the day I was there; pretty good value for the cost of the tour._br/_ Minuses - the all-too-brief batik demonstration was just way to sell dreadfully overpriced silk scarves; the Chinese temple is only 21 years old, so while interesting there is nothing historic about it; the tour guide was cheesy and his jokes missed.

I was a little late for my pick up time but the driver was there waiting for me. The aircon in the van was very comfortable as it was quite a hot day, and the driver was very friendly. He told us some brief info about the Batu caves and temples, but was happy to answer questions when I pestered him. Climbing all the steps is well worth the effort, as I was lucky enough to be blessed by the swarmy!

A well trodden (climbed) path that is definitely worth the effort. Their are cold drinks for sale at the top, the monkeys are fun to watch and photograph but be cautious, have a cold fresh coconut milk drink at the bottom as it is refreshing and cooling. Had a really good time!

Considering the price, it wasn't bad value but a bit ordinary. The Buddhist temple was ho hum but my reaction may be the result of an over-exposure to temples. If you haven't seen one before, this is interesting. The Batu Caves are interesting (no monkeys when I went), the batik demonstration was a rush job. It could have been fascinating but it was really about selling the product. The tour guide went out of his way to look after everyone and answer questions.

Unfortunately I can't say this was a good Tour. The only reason I rate this 2 stars is because the site was nice. It started off that I would be picked up at 13.30, waited till 14.00 and called the tour arranger where my pick up was and if i still would be picked up. After that the drama begun, the tour guide was (so it seemed to me) uninterested and wanted this done as quick as possible. after picking me up we went to pick others up who after that. Whenever I was asking a question about what the tour guide told us on the way the answers were short and mostly replied like "I told you that" not even listening to the question. Royal Selangor was ok to visit, after that we went to an batik "factory" which took about 5 minutes of explanation what they did tbh uninteresting. Then the Batu caves and the tour guide gave us 45 minutes to get up the stairs inside and get back. No time to make pictures of all the nice things next to the cave entrance etc. All in all I have to rate the tour guide and the driver for a 1 star and would never think about booking a tour in Malaysia via Viator, hope Viator will work on this so that other people may enjoy the tour. Ofcourse I couldve been unlucky and got the unmotivated tour guide.

Fantastic day with a fantastic and thoughtful guide named Lo. Thoughtful because he suggested we reverse the itinerary and do the Batu caves first as he thought it would rain that afternoon - and down it poured when we should have been at the caves. I never thought I would make it to the top but I did and was greeted by a wonderful view of both the caves and KL.. The Batik stop was lovely but clothing was very very expensive so neither the others or myself bought anything as I had wanted to do. The Thean Hou Chinese Temple was marvellous and mystic. A great trip which I would recommend with a great deal of enthusiasm

I took the morning city tour and was dropped at a posh hotel for pickup. there was no time or facilities to have a quick lunch between tours so we ended having lunch under the Buddhist temple instead of touring it. But the tour guide was really nice.

Local agent was very helpful and friendly. Lots of useful facts along the way. Both the temple tour and Batu caves were interesting. The wild monkeys at Batus Caves made for great photo opportunities. Only wanring: be prepared to walk a lot and steep stairs at Batu Caves so not for those with walking disabilities. Great tour.

The Batu Caves are a must see if one is in Kuala Lumpur, but only as a private tour. With a group tour, you feel rushed, scared that the bus will leave you behind and guilty if you decide to take a couple of extra pictures. The Chinese Temple and the Batik factory are two other locations included in the tour - definitely worth seeing. Again, I would only recommend this as a private tour - there's quite a bit to take in.

Although easily access via the local metro/train service, I opted to be collected from my hotel and shown the sights. 1) To have someone give me all the info and 2) Air conditioned ride around town. It's pretty hot out and a very hot climb to the top. The temple tour was good, although not overly exciting. The multitude of turtles was the most interesting part! Was also taken to a Batik Factory. Didn't appreciate (after the show and tell) the staff hovering over us trying to sell us goods we weren't interested in.

Once we resolved the problem of our booking, no one turned up on our first date we had to re-arrange date, this visit to Batu Caves is amazing...we took fruit for the monkeys, and they do come and take it from your hand and peeped in my bag for more! The statue at the entrance is unbelievably high, plenty of opportunities for photographs. We also fitted in a tour of a batik factory, which is really a store that you are encouraged to buy from, not sure if original batiks are made there, but an enjoyable end to our day.

Excellent guide, good information given throughout the tour and very helpful. The temple was just as described and we had a valuable experience. The Batu Caves were a little disappointing as we were expecting more of a cave like environment and entering further into the cave. Maybe this need to be clearer on the trip details!

I think it is easier to do a tour with this one! As it is at least a 30 minute trip from town. I enjoyed the caves, we also bought bananas and fed the monkeys that live there. Our local guide was great!

This was a good value afternoon out and well worth doing. There were only 6 of us on the tour, and it was nice to have a smaller group. The pewter factory was interesting to see how they still do everything by hand and to see the F1 trophies they've made. We decided along with the other people in the group we weren't that interested in the Batik stop so we gave that a miss. The caves themselves are an interesting visit and the monkeys don't bother you unless you've food or drink on display, so keep those out of sight if you want to avoid monkeys harassing you! The local company was providing the tour for people who'd booked through someone other than Viator which had an additional stop in their itinerary, meaning we'd the added bonus of a visit to a Chinese Temple at the end of the afternoon also, which was worth the visit too. Guide was good providing a huge amount of info throughout the afternoon, but he shouted everything! i definitely recommended this if you have a spare afternoon in Kuala Lumpur.
