An awesome day tour of Malacca, had great fun. Lo, the tourist guide was very helpful and knowledgeable. I would definitley recommend this for anyone with a free day to spend in Malaysia.

This was an excellent trip with an informative guide, if you are interested in the historical value I would highly recommend, a lovely lunch provided at one of the local restaurants and a walking tour of malacca, very enjoyable.

Fantastic Guide (Chen Ai) who went out of his way to show us around and was very informative of the areas we visited and even plants and trees. Lunch was great too. Would not hesitate to book him again on our return to Malaysia. 2 Australians - March 2012

This trip was very poor. The guide was less than forthcoming about what we should see and after my return I heard from locals that I had missed many aspects of the town. When I asked if we could see some museums I was told there were too many tho choose from. We were taken to a poor restaurant and given a poor meal which I was unsure reflected the Portuguese style we were promised.

I appreciated the information provided by the guide throughout the day, and particularly on the bus journey to Melaka - it was a very useful summary of the history of Malaysia and its cultural and industrial development. The tour included a good opportunity to walk around some historical parts of Melaka - it was not just a series of bus-stops for photo opportunities. Good value, and strongly recommended.

Very disappointed with this tour, normally you get a driver and a tour guide we only had one and he was useless as a driver and as a guide. Very little information given on this tour, never said a word on the 2 hour journey down to Malacca, marched us down Jonka Street then deposited us in a restaurant without any explanation. His driving was appalling we very nearly had 2 accidents and he kept thumping his leg as if to keep awake, he then said we would make a toilet stop which neither ourselves or the other couple on the trip wanted but he needed to go and came back with a can of Red Bull, both ourselves and the other couple were of the same opinion that he seemed very tired and that this trip was not up to the normal standard, the van used was also not of a very good condition. We all thought that this driver might have even been standing in for someone else as surely he can't be employed as a tour guide. Despite all this we enjoyed walking around Malacca it was just a pity we had that guide.

I had trouble getting up into the van, very high step and no step stool to help. Also we were dropped off in old Malacca. to find our way around this happened a couple more times.

A very interesting tour of this city which has known many influences. If you stay in Kuala Lumpur where I was staying 10 days, you should visit this place to have another vision of Malaisia. The guide was very competent and give us many relevant information concerning the monuments, museums, temples, craft shop and malaisian village. You will never be bored by this visit !

There is a lot of time on the road to get to Malacca. So if the driver is not entertaining and informative it is just a long drive. Our driver was good and' knew his stuff'. Lunch was great. Malacca interesting

I gave it a 2 star rating since the places visited were not much different from that in my hometown. The guide we had was OK but sometimes the information he shares gets mixed up when he repeats it for the nth time. There were no tourist traps and the lunch served was good.

What could have been a good day tour was spoiled by a group of two women and 3 children who were not controlled. The guide made no attempt to insist that the children remained in their seats with seat belts on. The minibus was very noisy, dirty and uncomfortable seats. The guide was talking into the seat headrest or turning round away from us, so I could only hear about 2 words in 10, therefore I completely switched off to any of dialogue. The only good part of the day for me was the lunch at a Chinese restaurant, which was just OK. Also the tour was supposed to be from 9am to 5pm. but was picked up around 8.30am and we did not return until 7.15pm.......far too long and would have been very inconvenient if I had an appointment in the evening. Needless to say, by the time I got back to the hotel and showered and changed, I was very late having dinner. To make matters worse, I had to pay double as I was a single traveller and I got an email the night before asking me to pay extra. This was not made clear to me when I booked, as the web site accepted the single payment. Had I been aware of the poor quality of the tour, I would have cancelled. All in all, very disappointing!!!!!

The tour consisted of myself and one couple plus the driver/guide of course. We learned so much from a historical perspective of Malacca's past and saw it through the architecture, food and people there. Chinatown was a main feature and walking through a traditional Malay house built on posts/stilts was a real treat. The weather was perfect for this tour and everyone had a great time.

Interesting but nothing terribly special. It is a 2 hour drive each way to Malacca from Kuala Lumpur, so we were in Malacca about 4 hours, including lunch. The sites we visited were OK, but clearly meant for tourists as most had myriads of merchants hawking their goods, even at places that were out of the way. Our driver was good and quite knowledgeable. The lunch we had was very tasty. Fun to do once but I would not visit again.

We ended up having a private tour since we were the only tourists travelling that day. The guide/driver went out of his way to provide an exceptional experience. He even stopped at a durian stand so that we could sample the fruit. We had a wonderful day!

I would have like to have spent a bit more time in the older part of Malacca, than the 1 hour we had. Also the small bus wasnt the best way to travel for the long journey.

My wife and I had a wonderful day at Mallaca, our driver was fantastic, explaining many things, taking us to some great sites to see. He was also very caring about us in the heat. Only thing we thought was not good was the lunch(it was horrible) I felt sorry for the driver as we had a bus of mixed religions and he had to drop us of at various restaurants. I think it would be better for the passengers to choose their own place to eat. Definately would recommend the trip._br/_ Ken and Gwen, Wentworth Falls Australia

OK but nothing special._br/_ When first phoning to arrange local pick-up there seemed to be no record of my booking- took several phone calls and emails so more hassle than anticipated._br/_ Pick up vehicles then deposit you to wait for the main tour coach- result is that this didn't start until 09:45 following an 08:30 pick up._br/_ Drive to Malacca quite long, pretty boring. Tour in Malacca did show what was promised with time for photographs; didn't get a huge amount of information though. Not sure whether the town not as interesting as I'd have expected given Heritage status, or I didn't appreciate the best of it. So no real complaints, but wasn't the very interesting day for which I had hoped. A bit more free time perhaps to see what the shop had on offer would have been good- perhaps because of the risk of rain we rather crammed things into the morning and after lunch was really just the longish drive back to KL

My driver/guide, Lo, arrived on time and was great from the get-go. He was personable, friendly and full of information. I like to learn about the countries in which I travel and he made the drive pass easily as he answered my questions about a wide range of aspects of life and history in Malaysia._br/_ Once we got to Melaka he guided us well, pointed out historical and contemporary items of interest and kept us on schedule while allowing the flexibility to pursue our differing interests._br/_ Melaka itself is an interesting town with a lot of history and a rich collection of museums all clustered together and accessible for a single MR5 ticket. The colourful streets and the stories behind the various colonial influences make for an interesting day with something for everyone._br/_ I heartily recommend this tour as a great way to spend a day, see more than just shops and city and get a taste of Malaysia, historical and modern.

Enjoyed this trip for a "birds eye view" of Malacca. 1 day is really not enough to fully appreciate this historical city. Our driver/guide was good. The only negative, from my point of view, is that going to the city of Nonja cooking we were taken to a Chinese restaurant. The lunch was fine but would think that a Nonja meal would have been more in keeping.

Good trip, guide was nice and explains well._br/_ 2 negative points:_br/_ - the car, old and unconfortable to make 2h30 of road_br/_ - retrun at Kuala Lumpur at 17h30. It's to early because it implies a leaving of Melaca at 15H.

Fantastic day with the fantastic guide named Roger. He had a great personality and was very knowledgeable as he had been in the business for 29yrs. A great trip which was never rushed and showed us a great deal of Malacca. Lunch was wonderful and we could not eat it all due to the too generous portions. I would recommend this tour whole heartedly. It is hot and humid in Malacca so don't forget your hat and sunscreen. Or you can be like me and buy a floppy brimmed hat for 10 ringgit ($3 AUD) on the 2nd stop. Floppy hats are the new fashon trend and back in fashion. Yeah!

An interesting day. I swear our driver was half asleep on the drive to and from Malacca. He was struggling to keep awake which really concerned me. We didn't have much time to do things in Malacca, it deserves at least an overnight trip to get a better feel for the town. The highlight was the walk down Harmony Street and chatting to the shop owners.
